International Recognition Sanjeevani Gold Award Sanjeevani The Environment Club of the school added yet another feather in its cap. The club was bestowed upon with the Gold Award by ‘Teach a Man to Fish’ in the School Enterprise Challenge 2020. The award was given in recognition to the exceptional school business ventures implemented at the school and its contribution in developing business and practical skills amongst young learners.

LET’S PAINT THE PLANET GREEN! We believe that nature is the greatest source of learning and hence it must be preserved and nurtured with utmost devotion. The school celebrated Vanmahotsav Week from 6th July 2021 to 13th July 2021. The weeklong celebration included a special assembly highlighting the dire need to save our planet by adopting eco-friendly ways of living. The students were creatively engaged in interesting activities such as ‘Seed-ball’ making and ‘Collect and Design’ activity. The initiative was a step to sensitize students towards leading a sustainable life for a brighter future and a greener planet.
VIRTUAL INDUCTION CEREMONY Sanjeevani – Embracing Life To induct the new office bearers for the session 2021-22, Sanjeevani Club organised a virtual induction ceremony. The selected members were formally handed over their portfolios of the club. All the club members and attendees were encouraged and motivated by school Principal Ms. Monika Mehan.
ONBOARDING PROGRAMME Sanjeevani – Embracing Life An online discussion was organised for young entrepreneurs from various schools on the topic ‘Resilience in Business’. Students from nine schools participated in the event. Special sessions and activities for the new inductees such as poem recitation, poster making, dramatics etc. were organised and the programme culminated with an e-valedictory session for the participants of different schools.
Investiture Student Council For any nation to thrive; it must invest, involve and be ready to inspire the youth to lead them to a meaningful and successful life. This responsibility largely lies on the shoulders of our emerging leaders. The Student Council of M L Khanna DAV Public School stand tall as they are commissioned to take their offices in the Virtual Investiture Ceremony.
सौहार्द - INTERACT CLUB IN ACTION ‘Fight the Bite’ Campaign The Interact Club of the school organised ‘Fight the Bite’ campaign to sensitize the students and parents about dengue, one of the vector borne diseases. The campaign included a virtual special assembly highlighting the symptoms, necessary precautions and cure of dengue. Principal Ms. Monika Mehan motivated students to embrace the teachings of our ancient scriptures on health and nature and implement them to lead happier and healthier lives. The campaign also included a plethora of interesting activities for the students to participate in and winners were applauded during the assembly.

सौहार्द - INTERACT CLUB IN ACTION District Interact Leadership Summit 2021 To reward and recognise the Interactors for their deeds of altruism and benignity towards mankind, Interact District 3011 organised District Interact Leadership Summit. Interactor Mansi Jha and Interactor Swagat Kumar Panda represented the school in this district event and provided thought provoking ideas like promoting incentive-based work. They also gave effective solutions to the problems raised by other Interact representatives.
सौहार्द - INTERACT CLUB IN ACTION Laurels and Recognition Interactor Mansi Jha and Interactor Swagat Kumar Panda brought accolades to the school as they were bestowed upon with the prestigious Governor’s Award during the virtual Thanksgiving ceremony for their sincere efforts in the ‘Covid Services Update Campaign’ organised by District 3011. Both the interactors proactively verified all the leads related to oxygen and medicine supply pan India and made the verified leads available on the social media pages of district for the benefit of the public.
सौहार्द - INTERACT CLUB IN ACTION Installation Ceremony Leadership is not about titles, positions or flowcharts. It is about one life influencing another. The newly elected leaders of सौहार्द -The Interact Club of the school took over their responsibilities in a Virtual Installation Ceremony which was graced by esteemed Rotarians from Rotary International District 3011- and Rotary Club of Delhi Restoring Smiles. The occasion witnessed Virtual collar exchange ceremony wherein Vanshika Mittal the outgoing President, exchanged the collar with the incoming president Mansi Jha. The other office bearers also received their digital badges. Interact office bearers of the year 2020-21 and the top achievers of classes X and XII were felicitated with trophies by sponsor Rotary Club-Rotary Club of Delhi Restoring Smiles. The e-newsletter, which showcased the activities undertaken by the club in the year 2020- 21. was released by honourable Principal ma’am. The Sergeant-at-Arms of the club Swagat Kumar Panda administered the oath and the incoming President of the club, Mansi Jha, shared the future plan of action of the Interact Club for the session 2021-22. The vote of thanks was proposed by Misthi Gupta, Secretary of the Club.

HOPE FOR E3 A UNIQUE ACTIVITY SERIES Hope for E³ is a set of competitive events which emphasizes on the importance of positivity, happiness, creativity, sensitivity, love and hope in maintaining good physical and mental health. In order to nurture our students as mindful, empathetic, creative, critical-thinker and collaborative beings, the school has taken this unique initiative which imparts social, emotional and spiritual values to the learners and help them to upgrade themselves mindfully. These activities allow learners to give words to their thoughts and finally change the words to an inspirational piece!
Embracing our Blooming Buds A special e-orientation programme was organised to welcome the little learners of Pre-school to their first year of formal schooling. The programme was a colourful kaleidoscope of exciting presentations such as welcome song, puppet show, speech by school-counselor and head of IT department and address by parent representative . The parents and students were addressed by the School Principal – Ms. Monika Mehan who apprised the new members with the core values and ethics of the organisation. The orientation programme culminated with the ceremonial vote of thanks by the In-charge of classes Pre-school and Pre-primary. The celebration was organised to embrace the students and make them feel special as they commence their new journey.
Fun and Festivities Special Days & Assemblies To keep the students connected with their peers and the school, special e-assemblies are organised on a regular basis to celebrate important festivals and significant national and international days. Such celebrations not just help in strengthening the student- school-parent bond but also promote feelings of universal brotherhood and solidarity. Language Strengthening Sessions Language plays a vital role in our day to day lives. Language helps in communicating our opinions feelings, emotions and thoughts. However, for effective communication the language employed should be accurate, precise, concise, coherent, concrete and correct. The faculty at M.L. Khanna DAV Public School understands the importance of effective communication. Hence , Language Strengthening sessions are organised so that the students can get a better hold of the language in order to facilitate effective and impactful communication. The sessions are laden with engaging activities which also help to enhance the understanding of the language and learn the basic yet vital rules of the Global language . The activities are conducted by the teachers as well as the students . These sessions are a great effort towards building knowledge and understanding of the English language.
आओ बातंे करें Interaction with Class Teacher Communication is a powerful tool to bridge the chasm, heal the wounds and provide succor to the soul. To understand and empathize with the needs of the students as they were debarred from socializing due to the pandemic, the teachers planned a heart-to-heart talk with individual students. As students poured their hearts out, teachers in their true avatars became parents, counsellors and friends all rolled into one.
