The Brand /2019 Goose Island was born in 1993 after our Managing Director, Karen Hutchings, fell in love with the fabrics and colours during her travels to India and the Far East, and completely changed her career to pursue her passion for travel and fashion. With the head office based in Swansea, South Wales, Goose Island is a family business that has been successfully sourcing, importing and retailing high quality ladies fashion for over twenty years. Karen has a keen eye for quality and constantly strives to create a unique range of women’s clothing, that is comfortable, affordable and stylish. The Goose Island Buying Team regularly visit their Italian suppliers to source the latest prints, fabrics and designs for their three high street shops, online store and wholesale market, keeping the ever evolving brand up to date and on trend. Goose island has become a brand associated with individuality, quality and comfort and has consequently created a loyal and broad customer base throughout the UK and mainland Europe. It is known for its relaxed, layered style with intricate fabric combinations, beautiful prints and elegant feminine shapes, but also source excellent knitwear and unique accessories to compliment any occasion. There are currently three retail stores based in the classy market town of Cowbridge, the vibrant and popular holiday village of Mumbles and eclectic and arty town of Llandeilo. Goose Island has had a presence on the high street for over 20 years, and their shops are renowned for a warm welcome, friendly staff and unique clothing to suit all tastes. Goose Island also runs a successful online store offering retail and wholesale purchases with postage or pick up from Cowbridge, Mumbles, Llandeilo or the Swansea warehouse. We are very proud that Goose Island has been repeatedly recognised within the indus- try with awards including; Winner of the Entrepreneur Wales Awards - Fashion Retailer of the Year 2015. Winner of the Welsh Independent Retailer Awards fashion and accessories retailer of the year 2017 and again in 2019.
