Children learnt that it was not just his military achievements that made him great, but Shivaji was also the most able administrator. He treated all religions equally and had even Muslims as his personal bodyguards. He never disrespected women or used them as war strategy. He was a great expert in Guerrilla warfare and had a strategic mind to build navy and a network of forts. Even after his death, he is fondly remembered for his acts of bravery and kindness towards his people even today. 48
SSRVM Magazine Bengaluru East February 2022 SPECIAL ASSEMBLY AND CELEBRATIONS International Mother Language Day To promote linguistic, multilinguistic and cultural diversity across the globe, International Mother Language Day is observed every year on February 21st. The day acknowledges that languages and multilingualism are the two powerful tools that can promote social inclusion and uniform development worldwide. To create awareness on importance of Mother Language amongst the students, they were asked to share their video reciting a poem in their mother tongue. 49
SSRVM Magazine Bengaluru East February 2022 SPECIAL ASSEMBLY AND CELEBRATIONS National Science Day National Science Day is celebrated every year on February 28 across the nation to mark and recognize the contributions of scientists towards the development of the country. National Science Day is held to commemorate the discovery of the Raman Effect. On February 28, 1928, Sir CV Raman discovered Raman Effect for which the Physicist was awarded the Nobel Prize in 1930. National Science Day was celebrated at SSRVM BE with great zeal. Students were made aware of the significance of this day. Video on the World in 20250 was screened to motivate the students towards the field of Science & Technology. 50

It is celebrated every year in the honour of Lord Shiva. This festival is celebrated on the new moon day in the Maagha month of the Hindu calendar. A special assembly was conducted as a part of the Mahashivaratri celebration. The celebrations in the virtual platform included, pooja and arathi followed by reading the significance of the day, dance and bhajan. 51

Our tiny tots were a part of the Bal Prathibha 2021-22. The concept for the year was “ AIKYAM” meaning – ‘Unity and Harmony’. Our little ones were happy and excited to perform on the different states and cultures of India. It was indeed a brilliant performance by the shining stars of SSRVM Bangalore East. 52
