Introduction Ladies and Gentleman Rockfin is approaching its 25th anniversary. Therefore, we are all the more excited to present you, our latest newsletter with an overview of our engineering and manufacturing potential, our experience and our plans for the future. In recent years, in spite of the turmoil in the global, and especially the European, economy we have managed to remain competitive, enhance our global market standing and prepare our infrastructure for further dynamic growth. We opened a new section of our plant in Małkowo in May 2015, to obtain an additional over 2500 sq. m of manufacturing space, with state-of-the-art infrastructure including a gantry crane with a lifting capacity of 140 t and 1000 sq. m of office space. The Market As always, we focus on the design, manufacture and servicing of oil, fuel and gas systems and hydraulic drive and control units. Our systems are dedicated to gas and steam turbines, generators, compressors and other industrial equipment. We offer comprehensive service: from technical consultation, through system design and manufacture, tests, warranty and post-warranty maintenance & service. Sales Growth Over the last 3 years, Rockfin has enjoyed an over two-fold sales growth, including an over 60 percent increase year-on- year in 2014. We have delivered many unique and complex projects for our customers. The projects were a huge challenge, both from the manufacturing and logistics point of view, but we met it with flying colours, as confirmed by our customers. Human Capital People are our greatest asset. We have significantly increased our staff levels in 2014. Our people include veteran employees with 20, 30 and even more years of professional experience, along with dynamic young engineers, technical university graduates. The combination of our specialist’s experience with the energy of the young fast learners ensures that we can meet the strictest requirements of our customers, both now and in future. Our future In order to secure the funds necessary to further develop our company, we signed an agreement with a strategic investor, the Tar Heel Capital II investment fund, in mid-2013. The fund invests in manufacturers of devices that require highly specialist know-how, in terms of both engineering and manufacture. Our new investor’s financial commitment has been an important element to build our financial stability. As usual, I would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who helped Rockfin achieve its results to date and wish that we continue our further plans and development prospects together. 9We have the capability to manufacture lubrication, control & jacking systems for steam turbineregardlesss of its size.In April 2015, we successfully completed the functional tests for the lubrication system fora 1075MW steam turbine (Poland’s largest) at our plant in Małkowo (with a tank volume of100 000 litres and a pump with a capacity of 12 000 litres per minute). 11 Over the past 10 years Rockfin has produced more than 200 auxiliary systems for reputable GT OEMs. Our biggest success was delivering 57 t auxiliary blocks for the Bouchain project in France which was designed, procured, assembled and tested by Rockfin. Rockfin’s facilities have the capacity for the cold commissioning and factory testing of 50 and 60 Hz equipment. 15We have been implementing quality high tech projects for the oil & gas industry since 1998. Wemeet the requirements of end users such as BP, Total, Chevron, Shell, Exxon Mobil and Petrobras.Last year we delivered, among other things, a LOS of the compressor to meet the requirementsof SHELL DEP, mounted on the world’s largest FPSO, which will operate on the PRELUDE FLNGoilfield off the coast of West Australia and seal gas panels for the MARTIN LINGE project meetingrequirements of TOTAL and NORSOK standard. 17Rockfin’s vision and capabilities go far beyond the classical packaging concept according to thecustomers’ design specifications.Today we build complete skids mechanically and electrically by ourselves and take over majorresponsibilities for the design from our clients.Design to cost is our daily business, so we have allthe necessary tools and rely on our engineering force of50 highly qualified engineers.We build in conformity with the majority of international standards and provide the relevant documents.Rockfin has recently expanded the fabrication to 6000m2 and mutually increased the crane capacityto 140 t which allows us to assemble even heavy skids.Our facilities are located close to two international seaports in Gdansk and Gdynia, which facilitatestransport and we have recourse to additional assembly area at the harbour and floating high capacity cranes.Let us take care of your products and needs and get in touch with us, we will package the future for you! 21We develop detailed documentation for most of the skids manufactured by Rockfin.Last year we introduced new engineering tools to support us with the optimization of our designingto achieve the best ratio between our skids’ performance and the cost of production.We also design the test benches for testing our skids. The biggest skids tested in Rockfin hada flow capacity up to 12000 lpm and we used 60 t of oil and 2MW electric power for this purpose.
