SECURITY AND DELIVERY MOOKH. is structured to provide a solution to the two main barriers to e-‐commerce in Africa. Security: How will the user be able to ensure that the goods they purchase using the platform are legitimate? With few consumer protection rights how can they confidently use the platform? Delivery: How can we ensure that the product reaches the buyer safely and in a timely manner? With most still depending on post office boxes and not physical addresses.
SECURITY Merchants that choose to trade on the MOOKH. application will have to adhere to the terms and conditions set. When a consumer makes a payment, the payment is made into MOOKH.’s holding account. Until the consumer is satisfied with the goods delivered the transaction will be deemed incomplete and merchant will only be paid of when goods are satisfactorily received by the customer. This is especially relevant for MOOKH. Products. For the other platforms, goods are delivered digitally hence fulfillment is instant. MOOKH. has an SMS based delivery verification system that will allow for goods to be verified and automatically updated into the system.
DELIVERY To ensure both security of delivery as well as timeliness of delivery, merchants using MOOKH. will be required to ship using verified MOOKH. delivery partners. These delivery partners have been integrated into the system so that when the consumer inputs their delivery information this information is then forwarded to the delivery partner for fulfillment. In Kenya, MOOKH. is working with Sendy to do order fulfillment. Sendy was featured on CNN as one of the “top ten startups that rocked 2014”.
