She was a Girl Scout troop leader, room mom, sports mom who never missed a game, and proud Navy mom. She treated everyone she met like they were part of her family. Renda enjoyed spending her time crocheting, cooking, baking and canning anything and everything she could get her hands on. Renda also loved teaching family and friends how to make jelly, fried pies, and pecan pies among other delicious treats. Renda looked forward to her movie date nights with her granddaughter and traveling to Washington to spend a few weeks every year with her son and his family. She was so proud of her children and loved her grandchildren dearly. Renda is survived by her children, Jessica Parker and husband Jay, Lucas Moore and fiancé Karlie, Lauren Wheeler and husband Lane; grandchildren Rylee, Jacob, Emylee, Hayden, Aurora Belle, and Victoria Jayne; mother Retha Maddox; sisters Patty Jones and Kelli Ooten; brothers Terry Maddox and wife Diana, Darin Maddox and wife Regina as well as a host of nieces and nephews and extended family members. To Those I Love When I am gone, release me, let me go. I have so many things to see and do. You mustn't tie yourself to me with tears, be thankful for our many beautiful years. I gave to you my love. You can only guess how much you gave to me in happiness. I thank you for the love you each have shown, but now it's time I traveled on alone. So, grieve a while for me, if grieve you must, then let your grief be comforted by trust. It's only for a time that we must part, so bless the memories within your heart. I won't be far away, for life goes on. So if you need me, call and I will come. Though you can't see me or touch me, I'll always be near, and if you listen with your heart, you'll hear all my love around you soft and clear, and then when you must come this way alone, I'll greet you with a smile, and say....\"Welcome Home!\" Acknowledgments The hearts of our family have been lifted and our burden lightened but the many expressions of love shown to us during this time of bereavement. Your comforting phone calls, cards, and flowers as well as attendance at this service and especially your prayers are greatly appreciated. We would also like to thank Valor Hospice for taking such good care of our mother during her final days.
