ObituaryThomas I. Solomon was born to Curt and NellieSolomon on March 13, 1953 in HastingsMichigan. Tom graduated from ThornappleKellogg High School in 1971.As a youngster Tom was active in 4-H and likedto play sports and encouraged his kids to dothe same.Tom worked as a road builder, Barry CountyAnimal Control Officer, truck driver andbusiness owner.Tom loved to watch movies. There is not a JohnWayne movie that he hasn't watched at least 5times. Tom made sure his kids and grandkidsknew the value of a great old western. Heloved all kinds of movies but old westerns,James Bond, and classic old movies were hisfavorites. He loved listening to Jimmy Buffettand country music. Hunting, fishing, walkingoutdoors and travel were how he liked to spendhis time. He was always up for a greatadventure. During his travels he visited mostof South America, Singapore, Japan and visited47 of 50 states. But above all he enjoyedspending time with his family and was alwayseager to tell a good story over a cup ofcoffee. He made even the most ordinary storyentertaining and interesting.
