Chapter 1: Newbies \"Why are we here again?\" Barley asked his brother Ian. Ian got out of Guinevere and laughed. \"You know what mom said. She said this will be a great opportunity for us to meet new people and try new skills. This is a school after all.\" Ian said. \"Oh right!\" Barley smiled ruffling Ian's hair. \"According to the map, we have arrived in the front of the school. Well here goes nothing!\" Ian said walking forward. But he forgot someone. He saw Barley flirting with a newer girl toon named Sierra. \"So? What's it like around these parts?\" Barley flirtatiously asked her. Sierra giggled until Barley felt someone tap on his shoulder. \"What the hell man?\" the voice said. Barley turned around and noticed a yellow skinned teenage boy with a skateboard. \"Oh...is she...whoops...\" Barley said and Bart wacked Barley with his skateboard. Barley got up and rubbed his head. \"That's what you get for messing with my girl,\" Bart said. Ian ran up to Barley and 3
helped him up. \"I am so sorry about that.\" Ian told Bart. Suddenly Milhouse Van Houten ran up to Bart. \"Bart we gotta go! Class starts soon. Oh, am I interrupting something?\" Milhouse pointed out. \"Oh don't worry Milhouse it's fine. Come on babe, let's go and leave these two jerks alone.\" Bart and Sierra kissed and walked hand in hand with Milhouse running behind them. \"Wow, jealous much?\" Barley and Ian giggled. Just then, a bell went off meaning it was time for everyone to go to their dorms and chat a little. Barley and Ian headed to the inside of the school. When they got inside, they were amazed! It was gigantic! \"Woah! Beats you're old high school ey Ian?\" Barley nudged him. \"Yeah,\" Ian said, still in awe. \"So where do we go first?\" Barley asked. \"It says here we have to go to the office to get our schedules. Then we will be escorted by an alumni from the school.\" Ian read on his paper. \"Well then come on! Let's go!\" Barley said as he ran toward the offices and Ian ran after him. 4
Chapter 2: Roommates Meet and Greet \"Here we are!\" Ian told Barley as they arrived at the Tooniversity main office. \"Wow this is so cool!\" Barley told his brother. They both went up to the receptionist desk and saw a girl duck sitting there. \"Oh hello there! You must be the new toons coming from one of those magical places! I'm Daisy Duck and I will be giving you you're dorms and new roommates!\" she said happily. \"What are your first and last names?\"Daisy asked Ian. As Ian was talking to Daisy, Barley noticed a pretty girl walking by with some other girls. He couldn't help but stare at her as she walked away. When the girls were walking away, he heard what looked like a group of hybrid human tortoises with colored bandannas talking to each other and Barley listened to their conversation. \"Leo, she's so hot! You should totally ask her out!\" said the red masked one. \"I don't know. What if I say something stupid?\" said the blue masked one. \"According to my calculations, her 5
name is Elsa. Former queen of Arendelle and she has magical ice powers.\" said the purple masked one. \"Coming through!\" said a similar looking turtle on a skateboard. He was wearing an orange mask. \"Dudes! I totally asked Queen Anna if I could have her number and she said yes!\" the orange masked turtle swooned. \"See? If Mikey can do it, so can you!\" said the red masked turtle. \"I guess.\" said the blue masked turtle. Mikey tapped on Leo's shoulder. \"Uh dudes? Some weird blue elf guy is watching us.\" the orange masked turtle said, pointing at Barley. The turtles all looked at Barley. Barley whistled and turned around as the bell rang. \"Here you are! Your class schedules, dorms, and roommates are all set up!\" Daisy said. \"Thank you Daisy.\" Ian said as he and Barley headed to their dorms. --- Barley and Ian came to their dorms. \"This is B40 and B41. We're right next to each other! Cool.\" Ian said. Suddenly, a bird pooped on Ian's shoulder. \"Ewww gross. Where did that come from?\" asked Ian. \"Sorry about Lovey. She gets attracted to everyone.\" said a boy. \"Oh no problem. It's okay. I'm Ian Lightfoot by the way.\" Ian said, holding out his hand. \"Walter Beckett. A pleasure to meet you Ian!\" he said as they shook hands. \"Hey it looks like we are in the same dorm! Wanna see my cool gadgets?\" Walter asked. Ian nodded and started to follow Walter. \"What about me?\" Barley asked. But Ian accidentally closed the door on Barley. Barley sighed, \"Oh well. Here's to me meeting new people.\" Barley said and walked into his dorm. The dorm was pretty quiet. But all Barley heard was some music. \"Well here goes...OUCH!\" Barley said, stepped 6
on something. He looked down and noticed a little Lego guy. \"Hey buddy. Do you mind?\" the Lego guy said. \"Oops sorry. Here.\" Barley said as he held out his hand for the little guy. \"Thanks! Hey you look like the new guy! Name's Emmett Brickowski! Daisy told us about you!\" Emmett said. Barley grinned, \"Barley. Nice to meet ya!\" Barley said, shaking Emmett's hand with his finger. Then a bald headed kid with a red shirt and dark glasses jumped on Barley. \"Who goes there?\" he said in his British accent. \"Geez Nigel, why do you always have to jump on new people?\" said another boy who just walked in. \"Yeah dude not cool.\" said another. Nigel chuckled. \"Whoops.\" he said. \"Whoa an elf dude? Coolio!\" said the last boy who walked in. \"Now since we all know each other, let's introduce ourselves. Everyone this is Barley.\" Emmett said while Barley smiled and waved. Nigel walked up to Barley and did a hmph. \"Nigel Uno. Main leader of Kids Next Door Sector 5.\" Nigel said handing Barley his business card. \"I'm Twister Rodriguez and this is Jake Long.\" said Twister. Jake suddenly coughed out smoke. \"Um what just happened to him?\" Barley asked. Then Jake turned into a red dragon. \"A shapeshifter? Nice!\" Barley said high-fiving Jake. The bell rang. \"Better get to class.\" Twister said and all the guys headed out as some toons flocked to their classes. 7
Chapter 3: Classes and Tutoring Barley was headed off to English class with Owl. Everyone was just arriving as Barley sat at his desk in the back of the class. As he was listening to rock music, he noticed someone he had seen when he first got to Tooniversity. It was the beautiful girl he saw while waiting at the office. \"Alright everyone, papers out and pencils ready!\" Owl said as he flew on in. Barley opened his notebook and hid when the girl was looking at 8
him. She giggled at Barley and turned to face the front. Barley blushed and that's when a spitball was thrown at him. A big black demon and an Arabic-like looking male stared at Barley and Barley gulped. The demon and man high fived each other. \"Class please turn your books to Chapter 3 of A Toon's Life.\" Owl said and everyone groaned. As Owl read, Barley couldn't help but stare at the girl's white hair that glowed like snow. Another spitball was thrown and Barley looked at the two troublemakers. One was batting their eyelashes while the other laughed. Barley rolled his eyes and continued to look at his book. After class, Barley walked to his locker to put his stuff away. Then he noticed the girl walking his way. Barley gulped and hid inside his locker. The girl kept putting stuff away and then walked off. Barley peeked behind his locker and noticed the girl giving a little pig and his friend some ice cream as the pig thanked her and walked away with his friend and ice cream. Barley smiled at her kindness. It made him feel giddy inside. He stood up and went to his next class. Leo headed over to the library to see his tutor. O k I'll do it...I can't...I could...but I won't... Leo thought to himself and sat down to wait for his tutor to arrive, fiddling his thumbs. Leo dropped his pencil and picked it up. While picking it up, he said, \"I'll be right there.\" he said. \"Take your time.\" said a voice. He recognized the voice and noticed it was Elsa. Suddenly, he bonked his head on the table and stood up. \"El---whoa!\" Leo tripped and fell over a chair as a librarian shushed him. \"Need some help?\" Elsa said and reached out her hand to help Leo. Leo blushed. \"Thank you.\" Leo said. There was a long pause. \"So should we get started?\" Elsa asked. Leo looked at her with a loving gaze and suddenly told Elsa, \"You're beautiful,\" then he erased the daze. \"I mean I'm 9
beautiful. You're beautiful! I mean, no, that's not...\" Leo said as Elsa put her hand on his. \"It's okay. We all get a little nervous on the first try.\" Elsa said and Leo nodded. Then they started working. Barley was finished eating lunch in the cafeteria and headed out to the football field. Everyone was practicing sports and doing their own recreational activities. Barley sat on the bleachers and listened to rock music. That's when he noticed the girl again with her friends. He watched as some practiced throwing and shooting things at a target. Then the girl went up to shoot and snowballs came out of her hands as she hit the target directly in the center. No wonder those turtles said she has ice powers B arley thought to himself. Barley was impressed as the girl hugged her friends. The bell rang and everyone went off to their classes. 10
Chapter 4: Meeting Her It was the evening and everybody was heading back to their dorms. But Barley didn't. He went back to the bleachers to watch the girl shoot the target again. He couldn't help but stare in awe at her magnificent beauty. Just then as she was about to shoot a target, she slipped and hit her arm on the ground as ice particles exploded in the air like a firework. Barley noticed and ran to her aid. \"Miss! Miss!\" Barley yelled running toward her. The girl turned around and noticed Barley running toward her as she tried to stand up. \"Miss are you alright?\" Barley asked. The girl huffed. \"Yes I'm fine. It's just a scratch.\" she said. She had trouble standing up and Barley helped her up. \"Thank you for your kindness.\" she told Barley. \"Aw, don't mention it.\" Barley said. He 11
noticed the scratch on her arm. \"I can help you with that.\" he said as he took out a band-aid from his vest. He put it on her and she smiled. \"Good as new.\" Barley smiled. The girl looked up and smiled at Barley. \"Thank you.\" she said. Barley grinned nervously and looked left and right. Then the girl started to shiver. Barley noticed and put his vest on her and beanie on her head. \"Shall we?\" Barley said as he took the girl's hand and led her up to the bleachers. Once they got there, Barley and the girl looked at each other then looked away. There was an awkward silence. \"So you have a name?\" Barley asked her. \"I'm Elsa. Yours?\" she smiled. Barley gulped. \"Barley Lightfoot madam,\" he said and bowed before Elsa. Elsa giggled. \"That's a clever name.\" she said. The two started to chatter and had small conversation. Leo was heading back to his dorm when he heard a distant chatter out on the bleachers. He couldn't help but notice it was Elsa and the blue elf he had seen at the office with his brothers. Leo sighed and walked away thinking he will never get the chance to tell Elsa how he really feels about her. As Leo walked away, he thought he heard rustling in the bushes then he shrugged it off and kept walking away. Two birds, a red and light blue one, couldn't help but notice Leo. Once Leo was gone, they turned into a red imp and blue imp. \"Man that turtle guy looks like he has a problem,\" said the blue imp as the red one bonked him on the head with his fist. \"Duh, what does it look like Panic? Clearly he's upset about...love, bleh!\" said the red imp. Suddenly a voice came over a headset the red imp was wearing. \"Pain! Panic! Any news?\" said the voice. \"Yeah boss. Looks like a turtle hybrid is upset about getting the girl he wants.\" Pain said to the voice. Panic yanked over the microphone from Pain's ear and put it on his. \"Yeah 12
and cause, well, a blue elf guy has taken over his love. She looks like the ice spirit we have been hearing about.\" Panic said as Pain yanked back the headset. \"You don't say? Well we just might have another customer.\" the voice said. \"But boss, we've already tried.\" Pain said. Panic took the headset again. \"Remember what happened last time?\" Panic said nervously. \"Look!!! Do you imbeciles want a job or not?! Get back here and we'll discuss the issue!!!\" the voice roared. Panic dropped the headset as Pain picked it up. \"Yeah. We'll do it for you boss.\" Pain said rolling his eyes as he and Panic hung up. \"What are we gonna do, Pain? This has happened before! I don't want it to happen again!\" Panic panicked. \"You mean if i t happens again,\" Pain told his friend. Panic stopped and thought to himself. \"If, if is good.\" Panic replied and they both headed back to their boss. Barley and Elsa kept laughing and talking until Bonkers the Bobcat showed up. \"You two better get your butts back to your dorms! It's getting late.\" Bonkers said. Barley let Elsa down first. \"After you milady.\" Barley told Elsa. \"Thank you kind sir.\" Elsa giggled and curtsied as Barley took her hand and walked down the bleachers. They were walking back to their dorm rooms. They arrived at Elsa's first. There was a long pause as Barley and Elsa looked at each other. \"It was nice chatting with you, Barley. Maybe we'll see each other again.\" Elsa said. Barley cleared his throat. \"Yeah ahem yeah. Sure. Anytime.\" he said. \"I better go. Thank you for chatting with me. I had a great time.\" she told Barley. \"Sure madam,\" Barley bowed as Elsa curtsied and walked into her dorm room. \"Good night Barley.\" she said. \"Good night Elsa.\" Barley said back. Once Elsa closed the door, a shiver went through Barley as he walked away. T his must 13

Chapter 5: Football Game The next morning, Barley couldn't stop thinking about Elsa. He thought she was the most amazing person he had ever met. He woke up to the song, 'Everything is Awesome' which Emmett was playing and humming along to. \"Breakfast is served!\" Twister said bringing in breakfast along with Jake. Barley got up and stretched as he sat back down which Twister noticed that Barley had an ‘in love gaze’ on his face. \"Oooooo! Someone's crushin'!\" Twister snickered. \"Really? Who?\" Emmett asked as Nigel pointed 15
to Barley. Barley stopped eating his waffle and looked up. \"What?\" he asked with a mouth full of food. \"Dude you're totally crushing on a girl. We know it.\" Twister said. \"But the question is, who is it?\" Jake asked. Barley swallowed his food and took a sip of orange juice. Emmett walked over and noticed that Barley's hands were cold. \"Who is it Emmett and please stick to the point,\" Nigel grumbled. Emmett took a deep breath. \"It's the ice queen!\" he said. Everyone was shocked. Barley nodded. \"Whoa! You got a crush on Elsa? Pretty sick bro!\" Jake said. Barley nodded and walked over to look out the window. \"You okay buddy?\" Emmett asked Barley. \"Yeah it's just...Elsa is amazing and I don't know how to impress her correctly.\" Barley told Emmett. \"Hey, you'll figure something out. Don't worry.\" Emmett said and put his Lego hand on Barley's finger. \"Thanks, Lego man.\" Barley said as Emmett nodded. It was break time and Barley walked over to his locker and saw Ian walking toward him. \"Hey lil bro! How's it going with you and Walter?\" Barley asked Ian. \"Oh it's great! We taught each other gadgets and magic. Walter's pretty clever for a kid.\" Ian said. Barley picked up Ian and noogied him. \"See? Isn't this place great?\" Barley laughed. \"Yeah it is. Why are you so happy?\" Ian asked Barley as Barley put Ian down. \"No reason,\" Barley grinned rubbing the back of his head. Just then, two little boys were passing out papers. \"Attention! Attention! Football sign-ups!!! Football sign ups!!!\" the boys said as they were handing out flyers. That's it! B arley thought. If I can get Elsa to be my girlfriend, I will play football to impress her! he thought again. Barley patted his brother on the back. \"Sorry my fair brother, but I must complete my quest!\" Barley said and ran off as Ian was about to ask where Barley was going. Then Ian chuckled and walked away to find Walter. 16
Barley ran after the little boys passing out the flyers. As the boys turned the corner, Barley yelled \"HALT!\" and the boys looked over as Barley came close to them. \"Say isn't that the elf we...OOF! Hey!\" one of the boys said as the other boy elbow jabbed him. Barley stopped at them, out of breath from running. \"I'm here to try out for the football game!\" Barley huffed. \"Sorry we're fu...\" the boy said as the other boy nudged him. \"Oh! Of course you can join! Here you go!\" the little boy said as he handed the flyer to Barley. \"Game starts soon! Thanks Mister!\" the boys said and ran off. \"Cheeky little nuggets,\" Barley said as he went back to his dorm to prepare. Once he got to his dorm, he told his fellow friends. \"Guys! I'm in it to win it! Football here I come!\" he said. Everybody was stunned. Barley frowned at the expressions as Nigel laughed hard. \"Why all the long faces? What's so funny?\" Barley asked them. \"Tooniversity Football??? Are you joking?! With the baddest and 'worst' players?!?\" Nigel laughed harder thinking it was some sort of joke as everyone stared at him frowning. Nigel quieted down. \"Aheh...ahem...carry on!\" he said. Barley looked at Twister. \"I don't get the joke. What does he mean?\" Barley asked as Twister frowned. \"Listen Barley. Tooniversity football is great and all, but have you heard of the players?\" Emmett asked him. \"Well...no.\" Barley said. \"Dude, it's the baddest group on the team, The Baddies. People say that they will cheat to win at anything,\" Twister said. Jake woke up and turned into a dragon. \"Baddies! Where? I'll fight them I will...oh...they're not here are they?\" Jake said sheepishly. \"Nope.\" Twister told him. \"Oh, okay\" Jake said and dozed back to sleep on his homework. \"The Baddies are a notorious group, Barley. You cheat, you get kicked off the team.\" Emmett said. Barley frowned and sat on his bed. \"Sorry 17
pal.\" said Nigel. Then Barley stood up strong and put his knuckles on his hips. \"Baddies or not! I'm gonna win this thing! My quest awaits!\" he said as he grabbed the flyer and slammed the door shut. Everyone was confused and shrugged it off. Barley waited out the front of the team locker rooms. He took a deep breath. Well here goes nothing, Barley thought and opened the door. He walked right in. When he walked in he saw the Middle Eastern guy in his English class stare him down. Next to him was the same big huge black demon that was making out with a dragon. Both of them stopped and stared Barley down as well. Barley was grossed out and kept on walking. He passed by a guy sharpening his hook for a hand and a guy dealing out what looked like voodoo cards. They also starred Barley down. Suddenly, Barley heard something. \"Psst, over here man!\" the voice whispered and Barley followed it. He stopped and saw a tall black kid, a yellow skinned kid with brown hair, a really buff turtle with a red bandana which was different from the one Barley saw from across the office, a chipmunk, and a cyborg. \"Whew close call there pal!\" said the chipmunk. \"You could've gotten squashed by those...guys.\" said the cyborg. \"Glad you're okay.\" said the yellow skinned kid. \"We all are. Vincent La Salle friend.\" Vincent said as Barley shook his hand. \"Barley Lightfoot.\" Barley smiled. \"I will introduce you to our team. The chipmunk is Alvin, that over there is Nelson Muntz, Raphael is the turtle, and Cyborg is, well, Cyborg.\" Vincent said as everyone smiled and waved. \"Wow cool vest!\" Alvin said. \"Thanks everyone! I'm glad to be on your team!\" Barley smiled. Before the game, the team talked a little bit before it started. \"So how did you guys all start?\" Barley asked. \"I wanted to play basketball but I thought I would try out for football.\" Vincent said. \"I'm 18
very sneaky. I can run around and never be seen.\" said Alvin. \"How about you Nelson?\" Barley asked. \"Well I had to play cause my mom is dating one of the PE teachers. Figures.\" Nelson rolled his eyes. \"I'm a ninja at night but in the daytime I'm a bad ass football player!\" Raph said, punching the air. \"And I'm here for the fun of it!\" Cyborg smiled. Barley smiled. \"Except, we have one problem.\" Vincent said. Barley was curious then looked around at everybody's frowned faces. He realized what Vincent was trying to say. \"Wait, you guys have never played football before?\" Barley asked. Everyone shook their heads. Barley stood up and put his hands on his hips. \"Well I'm determined to win and together and we'll figure it out as we go along! You gotta feel your heart's fire and take the courage to become a champion! Who's with me?\" Barley proudly said. Vince stood up. \"I'm in.\" Vince said. \"Me too.\" Alvin piped up. \"Same here!\" Raph said. \"In it to win it!\" Cyborg said. Nelson kept sitting as everyone stared at him. Nelson sighed. Barley walked over to him and put a hand on Nelson's shoulder. \"Hey, you can do this.\" Barley told Nelson. Nelson sighed and smiled. \"Well if it gets me time to beat those dark jerks, then I call in!\" Nelson said. Everyone joined in and put their hands in the middle. \"Let's go team!\" they all chimed in as the baddies watched from afar. \"What are we gonna do? They're just brats!\" said a bird on the Middle Eastern guy's shoulder. \"Patience Iago. I believe Hades has a plan.\" said the Middle Eastern guy. \"Most definitely.\" Hades scowled. 19
Chapter 6: Let the Game Begin! \"Everybody let's get ready to rumble!!!\" the announcer said. \"First team out, we got The Baddies!!!\" Everyone clapped and cheered at The Baddies as The Baddies started lining up on the field. \"Last but not least, the one and only team Barley!!!\" the announcer yells and the whole crowd roared with cheers. Anna and Elsa were in the bleachers as Anna tapped Elsa's shoulder. \"Isn't that the elf you were talking about?\" Anna asked her sister. Barley saw Elsa and winked at her and did a small wave as Elsa blushed and did the same to Barley. \"Yes it is.\" Elsa said. \"Uh-huh.\" Anna teased. The announcer read the rules out to everybody. \"And especially, most important of all, NO MAGIC IS ALLOWED!!!\" Barley and his team huddled close. \"Ok guys you know what to do.\" Barley said as he and his team chatted. The Baddies huddled also on the other side of the field. \"You guys know the plan, beat those brats like you've never beat anyone before!\" Hades said. \"Let the game begin!\" the announcer cried out as everyone 20
cheered. Barley was the quarterback for his team and called out the numbers. \"HIKE!\" Barley said and threw the ball. Vince caught and ran as the announcer called out the game play. \"Alvin, catch!\" Vince said, throwing the ball to Alvin. Alvin ran and caught until he was blocked by Chernabog, the big black demon. \"Where do you think you're going?!\" Chernabog growled as Alvin saw a chance to get by him. \"Under and out!\" Alvin said as Alvin slid under Chernabog. Alvin passed the ball to Raph who scored a touchdown. \"Touchdown!!! Barley's team!\" said the announcer as he gave Barley's team a point. Barley's team was really getting into it. They scored point after point. Elsa watched and cheered from the bleachers as she watched Barley score. H e's so handsome out on the field, Elsa thought to herself. \"Now it's time for the halftime show! Let's see what those cheerleaders can do!\" the announcer said as the players headed back to the locker room. \"Good job everyone!\" Barley said and high fived his teammates. \"That was so cool! I totally took that ball from the ferocious beast!\" Alvin said, showing off his muscles. \"Did you see that touchdown?! It was tight!\" Raph said hugging Vince and Nelson. Then it was time to go back onto the field. Suddenly Barley thought he heard Elsa call his name inside the locker room which was weird for it was guys only. \"You coming Barley?\" Vince asked him. \"You go ahead, I'll be right there.\" Barley told Vince. \"If you say so.\" Vince said and walked away. Barley followed what he thought was Elsa's voice until he got to a dark area with one light flickering. The light shone down on what looked like Ian's staff. Why would Ian's staff be here? Barley thought to himself. Then Barley heard voices again but this time, they were more evil and demonic sounding. Go ahead, take the staff. You will become a better wizard than 21
anybody would ever be! the voices said. Barley was tempted to take it but he knew his team mates, dorm mates, and especially Ian would be upset. Especially if he used magic. The voices came again. Come on, don't you want to impress the girl? You will be more powerful than ever. Take it. Take it, t he voices kept saying. How do you know about Elsa? Barley asked the voices in his head. T hat doesn't matter, just take it and you will get the girl you've dreamed of. Barley couldn't handle the voices in his head. The voices in Barley's head kept calling his name over and over again. He knew he shouldn't do it but he wanted to impress Elsa. With Ian's staff, Barley could do great things! Suddenly, Raph interrupted. “Barley! Hurry up man! The game starts any minute!\" Raph called out. Barley couldn't take it anymore and took Ian's staff with him as he headed out to the field. 22
Chapter 7: Deceit The game was about to start as Barley looked around. The game started and the players took off. Barley passed the ball to Cyborg who passed the ball to Vince scoring a touchdown. Everyone cheered in the bleachers. Barley was taking a break and waved at Elsa again. Barley hid behind the bleachers as he held the staff in his hand. Suddenly, he heard the guy with the hook yell, \"Me hook!\" while in the middle of a play and the guy fell down and hurt his knee. Now's your chance to help the poor fellow and impress the girl of your dreams. Levitate the football and score a touchdown for him, the voices said. Barley gulped as he said the incantation of the levitation spell out loud. Vince had the ball and it levitated, hitting Barley's teammates. The staff was out of control as Barley tried to stop it. The football then ran after Nelson and Raph punched 23
the ball until it deflated and The Baddies won the game after a few plays. The staff stopped working. Barley got up and looked at all his teammates lying on the floor. Oh no, what have I done? Barley thought to himself as The Baddies did a victory dance to Night on Bald Mountain. He hid as he saw his teammates go back to the locker room tired and worn out. The team mates talked as Barley listened in. \"What just happened?\" asked Cyborg as Vince comforted Nelson. \"Whoever did it is a complete screw-up!\" Alvin huffed. Barley grew sad once he heard that. \"This was harder than a ninja battle.\" Raph said, patting his sweat with a towel. \"Where's Barley?\" Nelson sniffed. Everyone looked around but didn't see him. Just then they heard humming and talking. Vince listened in. \"Whoa, I can't believe we pulled that one off!\" said Iago. \"Hook was a genius!\" the Middle-Eastern man said nudging Hook. \"Well I have my ways!\" Hook said, smirking. \"And it's all thanks to that Lightfoot kid! Put 'em here boys!\" Hades said as they drank up on drinks. Vince was shocked. He couldn't believe what he was hearing. When the Baddies left the locker room, Vince went up to his teammates to tell them the news. Just then Barley lost his grip and the door opened. Barley fell on his belly and the staff was exposed as it dropped to the ground. \"Barley! My dude! Where have you---\" Cyborg said as he noticed the staff on the ground. Cyborg gasped as the team came running. \"What is it?\" Vince asked as he saw Barley and the staff on the ground. \"The Baddies were right. It was you.\" Vince said. \"No really I can explain!\" Barley stuttered. \"I think you've done enough! What were you thinking Barley? You were our main leader and now you've betrayed us!\" Vince yelled. Barley frowned and started to tear up. \"Guys I'm sorry.\" Barley said. Vince ignored him. \"Come on guys let's go. We don't need him.\" 24
Vince said to the team as they started walking out. Raph looked back at Barley as Barley mouthed an I'm sorry. Then Raph sighed and closed the door to Tooniversity. Barley started to cry. Elsa hid behind the bleachers and saw Barley with his face in his hands. \"Barley! Barley!\" called Ian and he found Barley sitting on a stool with the same expression Elsa saw him in. Elsa eavesdropped on their conversation. \"Barley! There you are! I was so worried!\" Ian said. \"Have you seen my staff?\" Ian asked as Barley pointed to it. Ian saw it and was curious why his brother had the staff. \"Why is my staff with you?\" Ian asked growing suspicious. Barley stood up and flinged his arms in the air. \"Why did I have the guts to fall for a stupid girl! This is all my fault!\" Barley boasted. Elsa heard this and started to tear up as she walked away. \"Wait, was it you that messed up the football game with my wizard staff?\" Ian asked him as Barley sighed and nodded. Ian grew upset and took his staff back. \"Ian I'm sorry.\" Barley said. \"You think this hocus-pocus is a joke to you?! You could've killed someone out there Barley! You even stole my staff!\" Ian yelled. \"It wasn't my fault! Honest!\" Barley said. \"Oh yeah! Suit yourself! Mom told us to do great here, not get into trouble! I suggest you do the same.\" Ian huffed and walked away with his staff. \"Ian, wait!!!\" Barley said but Ian was already gone. 25

Barley was lying in bed thinking about what he had done. His roommates, teammates, and even his own brother wouldn't talk to him. He felt alone and lost. Then he heard some beautiful singing coming from out in the hallway. He got up and opened the door as he followed the beautiful voice. He kept running and running, following the voice. 32
Finally, he stopped at the entrance to the rooftop. He opened the door and noticed Elsa ending her song and sighing. Barley didn't know she could sing so well! He started clapping his hands. Elsa got spooked and turned around. \"How much did you hear?\" she asked. \"Every word.\" Barley said as Elsa blushed. Then she realized what happened at the football game and looked away from Barley. Barley lowered his beanie in his hands and walked up to Elsa. \"Everything ok?\" he asked her. Elsa ignored him. Barley realized what was going on. \"Oh I see.\" he sighed and sat down next to Elsa. He looked at Elsa as Elsa looked disappointed. \"Elsa, I am so sorry. Can you ever forgive me?\" he said as he tried to put his hand on Elsa's. Elsa flicked it away, got up angrily, and started walking away. Barley followed Elsa. \"Elsa plea---\" Barley started to say as Elsa butted in and said, \"Don't talk to me Barley!\" She stopped, rubbed her arm, and frowned. \"I know what you said,'' she started walking to the door when Barley grabbed her hand. Elsa's hand was cold to the touch. Barley could feel it. She let her hand go and folded her arms in anger. Barley talked to Elsa behind her back. \"Look! I know I'm a screw-up! I screw up almost every little thing, but you know what? It's just who I am!\" Barley started to say. He continued, \"But when I met you, I thought you were the most beautiful person I have ever met. Your hair, your clothes, your personality, your ice powers, and your beautiful voice! Elsa, I know I messed up. But I can change for the better if you just take my hand.\" Barley said, holding out his hand to Elsa. Elsa turned around and saw Barley's puppy dog eyes. She couldn't stand to see Barley so sad and upset. \"Elsa, I can change if you just give me a chance.\" he said, still holding out his hand. Elsa slowly walked up to him and lowered his hand. they looked into each other's eyes. A shooting star passed above them as they looked at each other longingly. Elsa brought Barley's hand to her face. Barley gulped as he locked eyes with Elsa's. That's when Elsa whispered, \"I forgive you,\" she said. Suddenly Barley had a sense to kiss Elsa. Sure, they had been hanging out before the football game even happened, but this was different. Barley and Elsa locked hands, still looking into each other's eyes. Barley grinned. \"What?\" Elsa asked. \"Oh just thought I would give you a little something.\" he teased. \"Oh really? What's that?\" Elsa smiled back. \"This,\" Barley said as he locked lips with Elsa. While they were kissing, a whole snow flurry surrounded them as they passionately kissed. Then it stopped as Barley and Elsa stopped kissing. \"Wow, you're a pretty good kisser milady.\" Barley bowed. Elsa laughed and curtsied, \"Not so bad yourself my fair warrior.\" They both giggled and were about to kiss again when Bonkers the Bobcat walked in. \"You two again! All right! Back to your dorms!\" he told them. Barley and Elsa laughed. \"Madam?\" Barley said, holding out his hand for Elsa. \"Thank you.\" she smiled as she took his hand. They arrived at Elsa's dorm room. \"I had a fun time.\" Elsa said and kissed Barley on the cheek. \"See you later?\" she asked as she opened the door. \"Yeah see you later.\" Barley smiled as Elsa closed the door. Barley did a fist pump. Suddenly, his phone buzzed. It was Elsa. The text read: L earned how to use this from my friend Vanellope von Schweetz. Good night. I love you Barley. *kiss emoji*. B arley grinned and texted back: G ood night milady! I love thee. Barley headed back to his dorm room and grinned. This was the happiest moment in his life. He finally got his girlfriend. 34
As this all was happening, Leo the ninja turtle watched them kiss and head back to their dorms. Leo felt sad that Elsa has a new boyfriend and he felt betrayed. He headed back to his dorm later that night. 35
Chapter 9: Tutor Trouble Leo was walking to the library after classes. He couldn't get his mind off of Elsa when she kissed Barley and now he had Elsa as a tutor. He walked into the library and waited for Elsa. Leo was texting his brother Raph about what happened. Suddenly Elsa entered the library as Leo put his T-phone down abruptly. Leo kept looking down as Elsa approached him. \"Hey Leo, how are you today?\" Elsa asked him. Leo ignored her as Elsa asked the question. Elsa got concerned. \"Is something wrong, Leo? I am here to help whenever you need it most,\" Elsa was about to put her hand on Leo to comfort him but he flicked it away. He started walking away. \"Leo, if it's something I did to help you, I am terribly sorry,\" Elsa started to say. Leo sighed with his back facing Elsa's. \"I think you've done enough to help me Elsa.\" he said and sadly walked away as Elsa sighed sadly. Barley and Ian were talking in the hallway when Leo saw them. Barley waved at Leo and Leo kept walking. \"What's wrong with the turtle guy?\" Ian asked Barley. \"He's probably upset about how I screwed up at the football game. Figures.\" Barley said. Then Ian and Barley walked to their classes. They didn't notice Hades and his gang of baddies staring around the corner. The Baddies walked back to their dorm room to devise a plan. \"So what are we gonna do boss?\" Pain asked as Hades paced back and 36
forth trying to think. \"Hades always has a plan you dimwits!\" Iago cried as Pain rolled his eyes. \"Shut up bird! I know what I'm talking about!\" Pain said as he and Iago started to argue. \"Will you two idiots knock it off?! I'm trying to concentrate here!\" Chernabog bellowed as he was trying to control his dark magic. \"Bingo! I got it!\" Hades yelled as Chernabog got startled and accidentally lit Pain's butt on fire. \"What's the plan for me' harty?\" Captain Hook asked. The group gathered around each other. \"So remember how that turtle guy wanted the ice girl to himself and that blue bozo came and stole her from him?\" Hades started saying. Chernabog groaned. \"I know what that feels like...\" he said. Everyone stared and shushed him as Chernabog hid behind his wings. \"And you're point is?\" Jafar asked Hades. Hades grinned evilly. \"I think I know how to get the turtle what he wants and to get the ice powers from the ice girl so we can rule Tooniversity!\" Hades said and he and his gang continued chatting. 37
Chapter 10: Voices in the Night Leo was lying in his bed, thinking about the incident he encountered with Elsa at the library. He tossed and turned but couldn't sleep. He drifted off to sleep dreaming about him and Elsa but that's when he heard Elsa's voice in his dreams. Then he realized it was Elsa's real voice calling out to him. Leo woke up suddenly and thought it was Elsa, for real, calling his name. He thought it was his dream. He was about to go back to sleep when he heard the voice of Elsa again. It seemed like she was calling for help. \"Leo! Help!\" Elsa's voice called out from the hallway. That's when Leo sprang out of bed and creaked his dorm door open. The hallway was quiet. Too quiet. Then Leo heard Elsa's voice again but this time it was singing. Leo was so confused. He closed his dorm door and followed the sound of Elsa's voice. That's when he saw her shadow 38
on the wall. Come closer Leo, s aid Elsa's voice in his head. As Leo got closer, he put his hand on the wall where Elsa's shadow is. The shadow quickly moved and followed down another hallway. F ollow me, the voice said as Leo continued to follow the shadow. The voice giggled as Leo got closer to Hades trap. But when Leo arrived at a mysterious dorm room, he hesitated. That's when he heard Elsa's voice again calling for help. He grabbed his katanas and busted through the door where he heard Elsa's voice inside. It was dark and eerie and very very quiet. Chills went up Leo's spine. Suddenly, the door slammed shut behind him. He ran over to the door but it was just an illusion as the door disappeared. Just then Leo heard evil laughter and got knocked out. 39
Chapter 11: Deal with the Devil Silence. All he heard was silence. Leo woke up all groggy and felt like he couldn't move. He realized he was in a dark room again. The same dark room he was in before he got knocked out. He looked around and saw nobody. As he tried to get up, he noticed his hands were tied to two strings connected to a wall and so were his feet. He tried to budge but couldn't move. He felt like he was paralyzed. Just then, evil laughter was heard again. He looked around. \"Alright, you got me! Show yourselves!\" Leo said. He waited for a minute then he saw a blue light of fire coming toward him. Just then the blue flame started to speak. \"Well well well...Leonardo Hamato.\" said the blue flame. Leo looked puzzled. \"How...how do you know me?\" Leo asked. \"Just by reputation. I know who you are.\" said the blue flame. \"Let me go or I'll get the security!\" Leo shouted. Laughter was heard. \"Oh you can't help them. Let's just say everyone is, how can I put this, asleep! Except you and well a couple others.\" said the flame. Leo grew angry. \"Who are you? What do you want from me?!\" Leo hollered. \"Oh isn't this guy cute and 40
oh so protective!\" said the blue flame. \"Show yourselves! NOW!\" Leo said. That's when Hades and his group showed up in the light. Leo gasped. --- \"YOU! Get me out of here or I'll...\" Leo started to say. \"That ain't happenin' lad.\" said Captain Hook. \"Let's just say you're out of a job,\" Jafar butted in. \"Hey! What is he gonna do? He can't go anywhere! Come on!\" Hades said. They all started laughing. \"You don't wanna mess this party up for your girlfriend now don't ya?\" Hades snickered. Leo looked up. He knew they were talking about Elsa. Leo thought back again to the incident at the library and shook it out of his head. \"What have you done with Elsa?\" Leo asked. The gang laughed. \"Oh, I thought you didn't care about her. I recall she ran off with another guy of some sort, hm?\" Hades said. Leo sadly looked down. \"Yeah...she did.\" Leo sighed. \"Bingo! I was right!\" Hades said as the Baddies laughed and high fived Hades. Leo looked down and said, \"I wish I could have her back and she could be with me.\" Leo sighed again sadly. Hades grinned evilly and walked toward Leo. \"Oh I'm so sorry you feel that way. I wish there was a way I could help you and get rid of that stupid elf jerk,\" Hades giggled. Leo thought for a moment. \"Why? You'll only make it worse,\" Leo scoffed. Hades rolled his eyes. \"Puh-lease! I'm the one that makes it happen! I can make all your dreams come true.\" Leo thought and thought. \"Trust me. You'll get everything and for a bargain, you'll get the girl of your dreams.\" Hades whispered into Leo's ear. \"All you have to do is shake my hand and we can get this whole thing over with.\" Hades said slowly. Leo sighed, thought about it, looked up, and nodded. 41
\"Chernabog! Untie him!\" Hades said as Chernabog untied Leo. Dr. Facilier and Jafar stood behind Leo so he couldn't get away. \"So...do we have a deal?\" Hades held out his hand. \"If you help me get Barley and help me in general, Elsa will love me forever?\" Leo asked. Hades scoffed, \"Duh! I'm no psychic! But I will get you what you want! So whaddya say?\" Hades said, still holding out his hand. Leo looked around. Chernabog was cracking his knuckles, Hook was sharpening his hook, while Facilier and Jafar stood over him. Leo put on a brave face. \"Deal.\" Leo said and shook Hades hand. Just then Leo felt weak and collapsed to the floor. \"Boys! You know what to do.\" Hades said and walked away. The rest of the gang walked toward Leo as Leo cried out, \"Wait! Wait!!!\" 42

Suddenly she felt something tug on her, \"Excuse me miss?\" Elsa turned around and noticed two little boys, looking sad. \"Boys, what are you doing up so late? What are you doing here?\" she asked them. \"You gotta come quick! Someone is in trouble!\" one of the boys said. Elsa got worried. \"Really? Who is it?\" Elsa asked. \"Your turtle friend is hurt and needs help now! Follow us!\" said the other boy. Elsa thought to herself and realized who it was. \"Show me the way,\" Elsa said and she followed the boys. Once they got to the Baddies dorm room, the boys stopped in front of the room and were out of breath. Elsa looked around as she heard a cry of pain. \"Leo? Are you there?\" she called out. The boys pulled Elsa. \"Come on, we'll show you where he is.\" said a boy. They took Elsa's hands and led her inside. It was dark and very eerie. Elsa couldn't see the boys. She looked for Leo. \"Leo? Leo, are you there?\" she asked. Suddenly, Elsa heard a familiar voice. \"Elsa?\" the voice said. Elsa realized it was Leo's voice. \"Oh thank goodness, Leo! We gotta get out of here! It's too risky in this dorm. Come on!\" Elsa was running when Leo grabbed her arm. \"Leo, is something wrong?\" Elsa asked. It was too dark for Elsa to see him. \"Come into the light Leo,\" Elsa said as Leo came into the light. Elsa gasped. Leo turned into dark Leo. He had a black ninja mask on and other features. \"Oh hi Elsa, miss me much?\" he asked. Elsa grew concerned. \"Leo what happened to you?\" asked Elsa. \"What do you mean? I'm perfectly fine.\" Leo said as he got closer to Elsa. Elsa started to back up. She almost tripped when Leo caught her. \"Come with me Elsa. Together with your ice powers and my master ninja skills, we can rule Tooniversity,\" Leo boasted. Elsa started feeling uncomfortable. Leo got closer to her face and tuck a strand of hair behind Elsa's ear, their lips almost touching. \"Come 48
give me a smooch and we'll talk about it all night,\" Leo whispered in Elsa's ear. Suddenly Elsa froze Leo's hand. \"AAAARGH!\" Leo shouted. He stayed where he was as the ice melted off his hand. Elsa walked toward the door and the door slammed shut in front of her. \"Where do you think you're going?\" Leo asked angrily. He slapped Elsa in the face, leaving a mark. \"Leo whatever you're doing please stop!\" she yelled. Leo walked closer to her and got down to her level. \"You're not going anywhere,\" he said in a low tone. Suddenly, The Baddies shadows appeared. Leo and Elsa locked eyes as Elsa cried out, \"Leo no...NO!\" 49
Chapter 13: Barley vs Leo Barley was sound asleep dreaming about Elsa. Suddenly, he heard what sounded like Elsa screaming. Trying not to wake his roommates, Barley grabbed his sword, viking hat, cape, and the wizard staff he borrowed from Ian. He rushed out the door and followed the screaming. He got closer and closer until the screaming stopped. He got out his sword and looked around. He finally got to the Baddies dorm room where a faint cry came from. He realized it was Elsa and busted through the door. \"Elsa! I am here to save you from harm!\" Barley shouted. The cries stopped as the door slammed 50
