Your CNA is the first step to becoming a Medical ProfessionalAs part of your curriculum you will also earn an AHA HealthcareProvider CPR and First Aid card, and the 7 hour HIV-AIDScertification you will need for licensing.Certified Nursing Assistants work in many healthcareenvironments, including: hospitals, doctors’ offices, assisted living,hospice and skilled nursing facilities. In addition to this, there areover 375 Adult Family homes in Clark County, alone. Healthcarejobs are in high demand. ClassesDay & Evening Classes Clinical EnvironmentDay Classes: Lecture Portion: Mon – The “clinical” portion of the course generally runs for two weeks with theFri 10:00 am – 4:00 pm hours varying dependent on day orClinical Portion: Mon – Fri 7:00 am – 1:00 pm evening schedule.Evening Classes: Lecture portion: Mon – The location of the clinical section alsoThurs 6:00 pm – 10:00 pm and Sat. 9:00 am – varies as this is the section of the3:00 pm program where students have the opportunity to work under the directionClinical Portion: Mon – Thurs 6:00 pm – 10:00 of a Registered Nurse in an actualpm and Sat. & Sun. 7:00 am – 1:00 pm nursing home or other long-term care facility.
