The goal of this “How to Recruit?” Information Session is to provide Alumni with the supporting guidance, resources, and tools needed when recruiting prospective Hornets. Local Chapter Announcements Florida \"Sunshine\" Chapter The Florida ' Sunshine ' Alumni Chapter has mentored and guided a Georgia student, Preston Stanberry, through the process applying to our DSU Aviation Program. This outstanding young man has been accepted, enrolled and begins his DSU education this fall! He is very excited! We are proud and delighted to do this important work. The chapter continues searching for viable future candidates for our commercial pilot and aviation management programs. The chapter is working to create a pipeline for the future working with the department, our DSU Aviation Alums and fellow alums who have directed them to the chapter. The chapter is also assisting aviation management students identify career opportunities . Sussex County (DE) Chapter Neveiah Jarrett (center), a senior at Woodbridge High School in Greenwood, Delaware received the annual five hundred dollar Carr Family Scholarship at the Senior Awards Ceremony on June 10, 2021. Additionally, Neveiah, was the recipient of a one thousand dollar scholarship from the Delaware State University Alumni Association, Inc.-Sussex County Chapter. Ms. Jarrett will major in Elementary Education. In the photo, (l-r), Bernard W. Carr, President, DSUAA,Inc-SSC (DSC class of '77) his mother, Agusta E. Carr- Ross, age 93, who attended high school on the DSU campus, graduating in 1946. Neveiah Jarrett, her mother Jamie and grandmother Rhonda, and Beverly L Carr Banks (DSC class of '75).
Local Chapter Announcements New Castle County (DE) Chapter The New Castle County Alumni Chapter and the Class of 1973 are partnering together to host our Inaugural Scholarship Golf Classic. This fundraising initiative is scheduled to take place on Friday, August 27, 2021 at the Back Creek Golf Club located at 101 Back Creek Drive Middletown, DE 19709 with a 1:00 p.m. Shot Gun Start. The Funds raised from this event will go towards scholarship initiatives for students at our beloved DSU. Join DSUAA Today! Membership is available to all graduates and former DSU students who attended for one year or more. Active DSUAA membership is achieved by paying annual dues, ranging from $50.00 to $1,000.00 for Life Memberships. Payment of dues to the DSUAA provides the funds for the organization to carry out its goals and objectives, specifically for its operations and initiatives relative to the support of university programs and the achievement of university goals. As members of the association, alumni can also take advantage of great benefits including voting privileges in the DSU Alumni Association, 10% discount at the DSU Bookstore, Networking Opportunities, and more! The fiscal year shall be July 1 to June 30. Membership dues are to be paid during each fiscal year. More information on the types of Memberships, Rights and Benefits of Membership, and the link to pay your Membership dues is listed below.
