DSUAA Blueprint First 90 Days Welcome Wesley Alumni On July 1, 2021 Delaware State University executed the final agreement that turns over the 50-acre downtown Wesley campus to the University. This is historic, as DSU became the first HBCU to acquire another college or University in the United States. With the acquisition, Delaware State University will inherit 50 acres of land, 21 buildings and 14 academic programs. The University is also adding more than 60% of legacy Wesley’s faculty and staff members.

Welcome Days Class of 2025 Induction Ceremony Move-in Days for the 2021-2022 year took place August 23-28. The Class of 2025 Hornet Induction Ceremony was a great way to start off this DSUAA Alumni Representative Dawn Gibson actively engaged new school year! Thank you Dr Tony Allen and all of the platform guests, which with students as a volunteer. included DSUAA National President Leah Williams, and DSUAA Sussex County Chapter President Bernard Carr, for such inspirational words to our students!
Sussex County The Sussex County Chapter of DSUAA hosted the DSU Approaching Storm Bernard W. Carr, (class of Band at Rehoboth Beach. In the bottom middle photo picture is the Sussex '77), President of the County Chapter President Bernard W. Carr, and the Chairwoman Elizabeth DSUAA, Inc.-Sussex County Allen who has coordinated the event in recent years. Chapter, brought donations from the Chapter, of bookbags and school supplies to the Back to School Give-Away hosted by alumnus Dr. Alisha Broughton at Grace United Methodist Church in Georgetown, Delaware. Dr. Broughton is a Pastor of Church Without Walls Ministries, a non-profit organization that sponsors numerous community projects throughout the year. The event was held on Saturday, August 14. Greater Hampton Roads On Wednesday, August 4, 2021, the Greater Hampton Roads On August 14, 2021, the GHR Chapter attended and supported Chapter sponsored their first the Annual Golf Tournament sponsored by Youth Aeronautics Meet & Greet Youth Aviation Educational Foundation (YAEF). New Castle County The New Castle County Alumni Chapter and the DSU Class of 1973 hosted our Inaugural Scholarship Golf Classic on Friday, August 27, 2021 at the Back Creek Golf Club in Middletown, De 19709. There were 44 golfers in attendance and after the golfers finished playing, they attended a dinner reception where Dr. Tony Allen addressed those in attendance and shared his comments. DSUAA, President Leah Williams and Members of the Building Bridges Leadership Team were in attendance as well.
Florida \"Sunshine\" Our DSU Aviation Program conducted a very special graduation ceremony for The Florida ' Sunshine ' Alumni the U.S. Air Force JROTC eight-week summer program in August. The special Chapter has mentored and guided a Georgia student, guest speaker was NASA astronaut Commander Victor J Glover. Preston Stanberry, through the process applying to our DSU Aviation Program. The chapter is also assisting aviation management students identify career opportunities .

Black College Alumni Hall of Fame Congratulations Dr. Allen - Inductee - Dr. Lorene Robinson Life Member of DSUAA! Congratulations Dr. Lorene K. DSUAA presented Dr. Tony Allen and his finance, Tara Robinson, DSU Class of '77 and '19, Anderson with their DSUAA Life Membership Card and as Dr. Robinson was inducted into the National Black College Alumni certificates at the home football game on 9/25/21. Hall of Fame in Atlanta. Dr. Robinson was honored in the Lifetime Achievement category for her 35 years of service to Delaware State University's Division of Institutional Advancement. Dr. Robinson retired last fall as the director of donor relations.

11th Annual President's Prayer Breakfast \"Pre-Homecoming Mixer\" with DSU's Graduate Student Association The 11th Annual President's Prayer Breakfast took place on Friday, DSUAA partnered with the Graduate Student Association to provide a September 24th. The event theme was \"Faith, Unity, and Change in a Time of \"Pre-Homecoming Mixer\" to students on September 25, 2021. Transition\". The keynote speaker was Dr. William H. Curtis, Senior Pastor of Mount Ararat Baptist Church in Pittsburg, Pa. DSUAA Chaplain Cheryl Latney Bridges shared a prayer for Health and Healing.

DSUAA Cocktail Hour 130th Anniversary Bike Fundraiser The DSUAA Cocktail Hour took place on Thursday, October 21st at the House of Laffs in Wilmington, DE in partnership with the DSUCircle. Robert Presbury, member of the DSUAA Greater Hampton Roads Chapter completed a 130-mile bike ride to raise funds for DSU Football. Robert made a stop halfway at the Berlin Police department. The Greater Hampton Roads Chapter was made a sponsor of the fundraiser and greatly showed their support of Robert during his journey.
Alumni Art Exhibit 130th Anniversary \"Back on the Yard\" Alumni Concert The Alumni Art Exhibit was on display in the Library Gallery. The \"Back of the Yard\" Celebration was a big hit, and took place on Friday, October 22nd, in the EH Theater. There were several performances spanning many generations of alumni.
Alumni House Ribbon Cutting Ceremony University leadership and DSUAA held a ribbon cutting ceremony to signify the promise fulfilled of replacing the former Delaware State Alumni House, previously located on College Road, with a new on-campus location. The President’s Residence will undergo minor construction to prepare it for use by the Office of Alumni Relations and the DSUAA to build alumni support and engagement.
Homecoming Parade 2021 DSUAA served as one of three Grand Marshal for the 2021 Homecoming Parade. The other two Grand Marshal's were Dr. Allen and Board of Trustee John Ridgeway.

Bishop Thomas Douglas, Vice President of the DSUAA Florida Sunshine Chapter gave a wonderful sermon, DSUAA Chaplain Cheryl Latney Bridges gave a beautiful prayer, and DSUAA Alumni Representative Dawn Gibson was an excellent worship leader.

Williams who was alongside students, and also welcomed Howard University's Alumni Association of Delaware at Saturday's home the guest speaker for this Sunday’s Service. football game. Homecoming Contest Winners Lunch DSUAA provided lunch to winners of the Homecoming Dorm Decorating Contest. Lunch participants also included members of faculty and staff who assisted the students.
