I sincerely thank my class teacher for having identified the potential in me and motivated me to bring out this magazine. I owe my sincere thanks to all my class mates who rendered their valuable suggestions and precious time for the publication of this e-magazine.
CLASS I would like to congratulate TEACHER'S my children for having NOTE brought out the first edition of Class 5 A e-magazine 'Inferno' for the academic year 2021-'22. I wish you all the very best for your bright future.
PARENT'S NOTE Back in 2015, I was skeptical to join my daughter in Al Saad Indian school. School is not a mere medium that imparts knowledge to young buds, shapes the buds to blossom to establish a healthy society. Very soon, I realized that I made most effective decision for my child. As years pass by I see the school nurturing my daughter into good humanbeing. The school has got best faculty who work with compassion and empathy. Collaborating with parents during this pandemic, the teachers have adequately adapted to the new online teaching platforms. Open house sessions revealed the patience of teachers and their disciplined approach in personification of my child into better citizen. I fall short of words to appreciate Mr. Sahaya Jeans, the Head of the Primary English Department, class teacher and mentor of my child. He is one of the best English teachers I have come across. My daughter is
fortunate to have him as class teacher for two years now. Of all traits of good teacher, the one I would like to highlight is fairness. Regional bias has been experienced by PARENT'Smany children in schools day today, but at ASIS I never felt it. Thanks to the teachers for creating congenial atmosphere NOTEthat all the wards have equal opportunity. With all the good experience, I never thought twice to put my second daughter Yaami Chowdhary in ASIS. She had excellent teachers in Kindergarten. Her journey with Mrs. Shilpa Babbar through her KG1 and KG2 had given necessary kickstart required for the Grades. Currently she is guided by Mrs. Priyanka Jawarala, whose compassionate efforts are taking Yaami to next level. Special thanks to affable Miss.Anupriya. Finally, special thanks to management including principal Mrs. Gupta , School Director Mrs. Divya Ramachandran. You have put in so much effort for us during these hard times. The school has been off but the learning hasn't at all. Thank you so much for being so thoughtful and making the things easy for the parents. With regards Dr. Sudhakar Babu Buma. F/o Shikha chowdhary Grade 5A F/o Yaami ChowdharyGrade 1D

The Wish It was a bright sunny day. I was having my lunch at school. Phizzz...I felt a gentle breeze. Suddenly a genie appeared in front of me. The genie said, \"You are lucky today. You can ask three wishes and I shall fulfill them all.\" I replied gently to the genie that I had only one wish and that was to eradicate Covid-19 from the world, so that people could enjoy their lives as before. The genie had disappeared at once. Suddenly the Covid-19 vanished from the earth. All the masks and sanitizers got disappeared. I was happy to see the happiest world again. I gratefully thanked the genie. Ms.Advika
NATURE’S BLISS Each and every flower, Is the earth’s power. Each and every tree, Has a home for a bee. Under the sea lies the coral reef. And on the land is the tree leaf. The sun gives us the light, Which makes the earth bright. As the petals of the rose gloves, And the cold breeze blows. The scent of the nature also flows, Pellets of rain, Is the nature’s precious gain. ANIMALS We are animals. We do not attack people unless people attack us. We are animals. Please stop cutting the trees and encroach our areas. We are animals. Let's share this world together, so that we can live in peace without any fight. -Jahnavi
If I could Fly I believe I could fly Like those birds in the sky. And when I rest, I see a bird’s nest. Hoping to fly like them, When I fly, I wished to see the ocean’s tide. And as the cool and swift wind gives a blow, The sun goes low. How happy I could be if I could fly? -Aysha
The Golden Rose Above the clouds, there was a magnificent kingdom. A beautiful angel Arora was the princess. The entire kingdom was proud that Arora was their princess as she was the most beautiful angel in all the land. But far away in the North on top of the mountains, there lived ‘The Witch of Death’. She was jealous of Arora’s beauty. But she also knew, in the royal garden grew a beautiful golden rose that could give her eternal youth. So, she flew to the castle on her black Pegasus. She reached the castle and entered the garden. After searching for hours, she found the golden rose. As she went towards the flowers she accidentally stepped on a large twig, “Crack!”. The guards were awakened by a loud noise. When the guards saw the black Pegasus, ‘Lunamoon’, they knew that the witch had come for the Golden Rose. They searched in the garden and found her. As they were about to attack her, the princess stood in front stopping them. Then she went to the flower and plucked and gave it to the witch. In astonishment, the witch asked, “Why did you give me the rose?” The princess softly replied, “I know you came looking for the rose and besides, if that’s what makes you happy, that’s what makes me happy too.” After listening to her loving words, a bright light shone within her heart, and she transformed into the ‘Angel of Youth’ and from that moment onwards everyone called her ‘Crystal Twilight’. Importance of Positive Thinking Positive thinking is a state when we Ms. Nakshathra look towards the bright side of something. It relieves the stress and helps us concentrate better. It helps us stay healthy and brings happiness into our lives. It is an essential part of a student’s life as students get motivated and will start to believe in themselves. This helps them gain confidence and fight against their fear. Thus, they can achieve their goals easily. It makes us bold and keeps us ready to face any situations in our lives. Through this we can improve our communication skills too. For example: - while you are presenting a speech in front of many audience, think that you made a mistake, that time if you are thinking negatively you may not be able to concentrate on your speech and you will lose confidence. But if you think positively, you will be able to concentrate on your speech and start to believe in yourself. Thus, you will gain the confidence that you can do the speech better. So, we should always try to think positively and bring positive energy in our lives. “Wherever there is positivity, there are many possibilities.”
Camping out in the woods Camping out in the wood with a burning fire roasting sweet, chewy marshmallow and eating smores is always fantastic. One fine day, during winter vacation, we camped out in the wood. Everything was going on well. Suddenly, we heard a roar. Scared by the sound, we went into our tents knowing it was safer there. We rested and woke up to see that it was drizzling slightly. So, we decided to go on an adventure. On our way, we saw some bananas lying on the ground. So, we decided to sneak there. A little while later, we decided to start a fire. Meanwhile, Jim caught a fish as our hearts desired. We got honey and chased by bees. We did not want to get attacked by more, so we set off to modern shore. Ms. Shikha
THE GIRL AND HER GRANDPARENTS Once up on a time, there lived a cute girl named Minnu. She lived happily with her grandparents. Her parents and sisters were settled in Abu Dhabi. Minnu loved to live with her grandparents. They lived in a beautiful village. Every day she used to go for walking with her grandfather, that time her grandfather used to tell her many good stories. They had a farm near her house. She used to visit the farm and feed the animals therein. Behind their house, there was a backyard, every evening, they went to their backyard to enjoy the beautiful sunset view. One day, her parents came there to take her with them. She became so upset. She never knew that this would happen. At last, she decided to go with her parents. When she reached Abu Dhabi, she missed everything in her village and became so upset. A few days later, she started her school life in the U A E. There she got a good friend named Ameya. She shared her village life with Ameya. On Minnu’s tenth birthday, her grandparents visited her. She became so happy to see them. She remembered the promise her grandfather made that he would present her a violin as a gift on her tenth birthday. Her grandfather kept his promise and gave her a beautiful violin. That was a precious gift for her. She celebrated her tenth birthday with her parents, grandparents, sister and her best friend Ameya. Her grandfather gave her an advice that “Study well and when you have your holidays you can visit us. Always be happy and stay blessed.” That day onwards she eagerly waited for the summer vacation to visit her grandparents and enjoyed the beauty of her village. Love Towards Nature One Tuesday morning, a school bus was driving on the road. It was 6:40 AM. It was the time when the first girl was going to be picked up. Her name was Ema. She was a girl who loved nature. When she entered the bus, there was no one inside, as if she could choose any seat in the bus. She sat on a corner seat as the bus was moving towards the next stop. She saw how viridescent trees swayed their hands and how the beautiful flowers smiled affectedly. When she was travelling, she saw many roundabouts too. The roundabouts were very beautiful. She opened the glass of the bus and smelled the fresh air. She was the first one in her class to reach school. As she was sitting in her classroom, thinking about her daily journey to school, she wondered how beautiful the nature was. Finally, she decided to save the nature for better future. Ms. Ameera
Piper And The Berries Once there lived a girl named Piper. She was a very kind girl. She always shared her food with her neighbours and was always ready to help them. But her stepsister Emily didn’t like that. She never liked her sister becoming so famous in the city. One day, when Piper was walking in the midst of the forest, she was a witch who appeared in front of her. The witch said, “You are a kind girl. I like the way you help others. So, I am going to give you some berries which will make strong.” The witch gave three berries to Piper. Piper ate the first one. She became gorgeous and had magical powers. When she went home, Emily asked, “How did you become so pretty?” Piper said, “These berries made me pretty.” Emily got jealous of Piper and wanted to become like her. So, she snatched the rest of the berries from Piper’s hands and ate them at once. Shockingly, instead of becoming a pretty girl, Emily turned into a frog. My Memorable Vacation I went on a vacation to Abu Dhabi. There on the second day itself, I went to the Abu Dhabi beach. I was making a sandcastle and wanted to get some water to make a pool on the ground but when I returned, I found my sandcastle being ruined by my sister. I got furious and got grumpy until my mother told me to go into the water. As I went in, in a snap, I felt happier than any other person in the beach. When I came out, I smelt the ocean breeze which was divine. I cloud see the beautiful sunset. Later, I was sitting on a bench staring at the sun set, wondering when I will come back again! Suddenly, I was called for my favourite treat which is a vanilla ice cream. Finally, the day at the beach had come to an end. I saw the birds flying to their nest. On the way back home, I was smiling so brightly. - Shikha
My Favourite Dessert My favourite dessert is Ice-cream. Many children love ice-cream just like me. Ice cream is a cold dessert and goes well with milkshakes and fruit salad. Mostly ice-cream is a diary product. Ice-creams are available in different colours such as pink, green, white, yellow etc. The dollop of ice-cream looks like tiny clouds. The look of the ice-cream is mouth-watering. It is an enjoyable treat to have ice-creams on hot summer days in a cone cup or basket. Ice-creams are delicious and are available in different flavours like strawberry, chocolate, vanilla, pistachio, mango etc. When I have a scoop of ice-cream, it feels like a soft cloud melting in my mouth. The smell of ice-cream is quite appetizing. The air smells sweet when you enter an ice-cream shop. Just like the flowers, they have different smells like strawberry, mango etc. I eat ice-creams whenever I feel hot. Ms. Hansikaa They cool me down and I start everything with a fresh mind. Even though it is a delight to have ice- creams, it is not good for our health. Sometimes it causes brain freeze. So, it is advisable to have it in a limited quantity.
My Favourite Dessert My Favourite dessert is ice-cream. I like to eat it in summer season. Ice-cream is available in different flavours such as vanilla, strawberry, chocolate etc. My all- time favourite is strawberry. It’s baby pink in colour. There are many small pieces of strawberry in it. It’s a cold and yummy dessert. Mostly I like to make fruit salad with ice- creams. In this way, we can make it healthy to consume. It is very good dessert to be eaten in summer. As it is very hot outside, it will give us a cool feeling. I love strawberry ice-cream because my favourite fruit is strawberry and it’s available everywhere. Whenever you think of eating ice-cream, you can go to the nearby super-market and buy your favourite ice-cream easily. We can easily make it at home as well. Ms. Nakshathra Now ice-cream granule is available in different flavours in markets. During summer, whenever we go for outing, my family and I would enjoy eating ice- creams. My mother would add ice-cream to milkshake to make it tastier. But consuming too much ice-cream is not good for health.
My Favourite Dessert My favourite dessert is vanilla ice-cream. It is white in colour and tastes awesome. I like it a lot because in summer season it cools me down and tastes good. In ice-creams, there are many flavours but of all the flavours, I like vanilla so much. Vanilla ice-cream is very popular, many people like vanilla ice-cream. There is no one in the world who has not tasted vanilla ice-cream because it is so tasty and yummy. Everyone would love to taste it. So, if you did not try eating vanilla ice-cream please try it soon and you will really love it. Ms. Naina
