Volunteer Newsletter - Spring 2021 Registered Charity Number: 1116662 Date Created: March 2021

Hi everyone Welcome to your Volunteers Newsletter, Spring 2021! I am sure you are as pleased as me to put winter behind us and look forward to some brighter days. It's been a year since the first national COVID-19 lockdown and so much has changed in these last 12 months. Our staff have been mainly working from home and we've had to reimagine almost every aspect of the way we work. Our aim is the same though - to help the most vulnerable older people in Hertfordshire. With your help we've continued to support more than 3,000 people each week as well as respond to more than 50,000 enquiries in the last year. We are cautiously optimistic that soon we can get back to a new version of normal with face-to-face visits starting up, clubs re-opening and we can celebrate you all in person! We've dedicated some of these pages to photographs of the amazing work that you have been doing to continue to support our charity and older people in Hertfordshire. We know we always say it, but we can't say it too many times, that we really could not do what we do without you, and we're immensely grateful for your continued support. Many Thanks Mark Hanna Interim Chief Executive Officer 1 Age UK Hertfordshire Volunteers Newsletter Summer 2021
