Thale Tung Tung or colorful flag is made of colorful knitting wool wrapped around three bamboo trunks which are tied together until they turns into a hexagon form. Following to the devout faith of Kamalasai people, hundreds of tungs are made for offerings to Phrathat Yakhu. This is why it has been called “Thale Tung” which basically means the sea of tungs. Wat Prayurawongsawat Worawihan (page 172-173) Wat Phrathat Hariphunchai Woramahawihan The ancient temple at Thon Buri side is regarded as a should-not-miss destination for Phrathat Hariphunchai is the golden chedi which sits gracefully at the center of Mueang Lamphun for almost one thousand years. Inside the chedi, there is a golden reliquary tourists. Inside the temple, there is a huge white bell-shaped pagoda, commonly called containing the relics of the Lord Buddha’s hair.
