Term Plan – Underwriting Guidelines Below rules to be applicable to Term Products including ILP and SSR and are mandatory. 1. Vaccination is not mandatory for any kind of Insurance cover across any age group. 2. Waiting period post vaccination will be applicable as follows- a. After first Dose- 7 days b. Term Plan – Underwriting Guidelines Revised Underwriting Guidelines for Term Plan For NRI Age Proof: • For all NRI / PIO /OCI Life to be Insured only PASSPORT will be accepted as Standard Age Proof. No other age proof will be accepted for NRI / PIO / OCI Life to be Insured. Annual Income criteria: NRI / PIO / OCI - • Annual verified income for Salaried, Professional, Business owner or Self- employed should be minimum INR 10 Lac. Geographical Location: NRI / PIO / OCI - o Age -limit:- Allowed within 18-60 years o Video-MER is mandatory in all cases o Maximum Sum Assured allowed will be:- i. Set A countries [Singapore, Hong Kong, China, UAE, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka, Maldives, New Zealand, & Australia, Papua New Guinea, Fiji, Brunei, Thailand, Taiwan, Vietnam, Mauritius, South Korea, Bahrain, Kuwait ] can be accepted upto 5 Cr, for higher Sum assured final decision subject to reinsurer approval. ii. Set B Countries if only vaccinated can be accepted upto 5 Cr. If Not Vaccinated such proposals will be postponed iii. Substandard Countries - 2Cr – Maximum Loading upto 3/mile as per reinsurer manual can be accepted iv. Decline Countries- No cover will be offered. Applications where Life to be Insured is residing in the approved countries will only be accepted. If the approved country has a substandard rating, applications from such countries will be accepted with loading or will be declined. COVID Guidelines Waiting Period • Minimum waiting period for issuance is 7 days after 1st Dose • Minimum waiting period for issuance is 15 days after 2nd Dose COVID 19 Positive with Hospitalization • If the application is logged in within 3 months of being Covid positive, then the application will be postponed. • If the application date is higher than 3 months, of being Covid positive, then the applicant will be required to undergo full grid medicals along with Chest X Ray and Complete follow up with blood tests, imaging (CXR, HRCT Chest) etc. COVID 19 Positive without Hospitalization (Quarantine/ Home Isolation) • If the application is logged in within 1 month of being Covid positive, then the application will be postponed • If the application date is within 1 month to 6 months, then applicant will be required to undergo full grid medicals + chest Xray • If the application date is more than 6 months, and the applicants age is 18 to 60 yrs, for SA upto 1 crore he/she will be required to undergo full grid medicals. • If the application date is more than 6 months, and SA is greater than 1 crore he/she will be required to undergo full grid medicals + chest Xray This is an internal training document created only for the sales and partner employees of Tata AIA.
