The Davis family’s love for the land is evident in every expertly crafted bottle. ‘We are proud to be creating single vineyard wines that are unique and distinctive to the Megalong Valley’, says Michael. The couple selected their wine varieties based on the wines they liked and guidance from an agronomist, who advised them on what would grow best in the climate and soil of the Megalong Valley. So, whether you prefer a crisp, delicate Pino Grigio or a fruity Shiraz, there’s sure to be something for everyone at Megalong Creek Estate. ‘Our most popular wine is our Prozzante – a lightly sparkled Viognier, with a made-up name’, says daughter and marketing manager Kim. ‘This wine is a crowd pleaser from the sweet to the dry style wine connoisseurs.’ Maintaining a strong connection to the land and the community, Michael, Vivienne and Kim love to show off their region to locals and visitors alike. ‘We do pride ourselves as the most scenic place to sit and enjoy the only single vineyard Blue Mountains wines, whilst taking in arguably the best views of the Narrow Neck Plateau.’
