YOUth in ACTivism is a Youth Project a dynamic project which focuses on improving the inclusion of young LGBTQIA+ people in society, through activism and media tools. Participants got the chance to explore the LGBTQIA+ human rights and activism through non-formal education and informal learning.
Organized by Olde Vechte Foundation and funded by the Erasmusplus Jeugd.

Tools• Peter is approaching schools by asking the educators “What do you need?” (whole school system)• Traveling around the word researching• “FIGHT OR FLIGHT” • Two things you have to keep in mind in such interventions:– To implement effect on people you have to them (inspiration/ motivated by something)– Detect the environment so as to understand how to open a subject (e.g. in each country/group/background etc.)

Tools: part 2• Until the first 2 weeks of the school year → kids should have already agreed on the ground rules (introduced by themselves also)• Answer to social problems such is bullying → Responsible Leadership instead of a more Primitive Leadership → teachers cannot influence the latter → so the first should be promoted anyway → No Blame Interventions → the bullies are the resolvers

Sexual Education → still on a minimum level • Even by now only 8% of the schools in Netherlands actually does something about sexual education • Many schools may typically be presenting as if they support sexual education, but many of them usually limit their involvement to banners, posters, flag but not in a very essential way

RIGHT NOW 2 PROJECTS RUNNING:• An educating program for teachers (that is ending in 2 months)• ABC about bullying• Prosocial Schools → safer schools → mutual empathy

• TARGET GROUP : TEACHERS, PROFESSIONALS, STUDENTS• HIGHER EDUCATION SCHOOLS à MORE OPENMINDED TEACHERS à MORE AFFECTIVE THE PROJECT IS TO THE STUDENTS
