Education Board monitor the activities curricular, co- curricular and extra-curricular activities and supervise the infrastructure in the institutions. Chronologically the institutions are : 1) St. Thomas High School, Kalyan. 2) St. Mary’s Multipurpose School & Junior College, Vashi. 3) St. Mary’s English High School, Valsad. 4) St. Mary’s ICSE School, Kopar Khairane. 5) St. Mary’s JNP School, JNPT Township. 6) Dr. Mar Theophilus School, Pune. 7) St. Mary’s Tejaswani School, Vashi. 8) St. Mary’s Public School, Khopoli. 9) St. Mary’s School, Dhule. The activities, the progress made in all the facets and achievements of each school are compiled and enlisted below 1) St. Thomas High School, Kalyan (W). As per the Government, Offline classes for IX and X started on October 4th almost after 2 years of pandemic. Step by step offline classes were started for students of Std V to VIII. The Teachers welcomed the children by showering flowers and drawing Rangoli. Hybrid classes were conducted initially and finally from the month of November 2021 offline classes began in full swing. We were the first school in the city of Kalyan to start offline classes with almost full attendance. Even offline exams were conducted for VIII, IX and X successfully. SSC RESULTS The school produced excellent results for Class X for the academic year 2021-22. One hundred and twenty-one students appeared for the examination and this year too we secured hundred percent results. Miss Krutika Nilesh Misal and Master Harsh Kamlesh Kundnani are the toppers in the batch with 94.20%. Seventeen Students secured distinction with above 90% marks. 68 Students secured distinction, 29 students secured first class and 7 students with second class. Hearty congratulations to all students. Counselling session: It was noted that two years of complete lockdown had seriously affected the mental health of children, making them lethargic, depressed, moody and unenthusiastic. It had adversely affected their academic performance too. With a view to bring back the smile on their faces and laughter in their eyes, the Principal arranged counselling sessions by eminent counsellor Dr. Fabien Almeda. This greatly benefited the students particularly of Std X, to ease out their academic stress, coping with examination pressure. Dr. Priyanka D. also took counselling sessions for students of Std. IX. Intra Mural competitions: Opportunity and platform to explore the students innate abilities through various Intra Mural competitions were held. Handwriting competition, drawing competition, Talent Hunt, ANNUAL REPORT : 2021 – 22 Page 80 of 107

Including graded subjects like Art, Craft, Physical Training, Choir Practice and SUPW sessions helped children beat fatigue and helped in the development of their skills and creativity. One major concern was related to hands on experience of science practical sessions that the students were bound to miss. This concern was resolved through the videos and virtual lab activities conducted by the teachers. Remedial Classes Apart from regular classes, remedial classes were also conducted subject-wise for the students of IX and X, to help them cope in areas they lagged behind. This gave teachers an opportunity to pay additional attention to students who faced difficulties in their studies. Assessments The examination pattern was adapted for online assessments. The teachers conducted revision tests, internal assessments, unit and term exams as planned. Class and subject- appropriate assignments, project work and content-based activities were also conducted for a better understanding of the concepts. Geevarghese Mar Coorilos, a pioneer with a strong and vivid vision, ideated to start a school in Khopoli. Under this initiative, St. Mary’s Public School was proposed for CBSE and the academic year commenced by celebrating the inaugural day on 12th June, 2019. As CBSE structure emphasizes more on activity based learning, many programs and activity workshops were designed and conducted to mold the pupils and to build a strong foundation for them. Overwhelmed by the response received in the very first year, St. Mary’s Public School opened the admission process for the academic year 2020-21 in February 2020. A total of 20 new admissions were granted till March 2020. Soon after a national lockdown was imposed in the country affecting the admissions. However, the school activities continued to operate digitally. The COVID-19 Pandemic challenged the functioning of the entire education system in India. Absence of physical classes, reduction in family income, inadequate digital resources etc. disrupted the academic life of students. With the grace of God almighty, we could overcome this tough situation. A rapid transition from physical learning to the online spectrum of learning was taken up by the students and our teachers effectively. We even got full support from the parents too. Fee concessions were also given to all students. Importing knowledge, especially to the pre-primary kids through online medium was cumbersome. The entire curriculum was structured to adapt to the new way of learning. Video Videos of various topics and content were recorded and sent to the students daily. Prerecorded learning content provided flexibility to working parents as well as children facing connectivity issues. Bailey activities of every student Work closely monitored. The Annual and Half yearly evaluation was conducted through teleconferencing with individual attention. ANNUAL REPORT : 2021 – 22 Page 89 of 107

Diocese of Bombay St. Thomas public school (kirkee, pune) “All great achievements happen in small steps.” True to the school’s motto, the school has earned excellence through hard work of our outstanding staff, the strong support of our parents and the determined efforts of the students. The pandemic forced us to continue with the virtual classes for a second year in a row, but that did not dampen the spirits of the learning community. Preparing the students to have the necessary skills and competencies to succeed in the 21st century was well taken care of. The backbone of a school is a strong support system. The constant encouragement, support and guidance of our School President, His Grace Gee Varghese Mar Coorilos, School Director, Dr. C. J. Samuel Sir, the Trustees and School Committee members. A host of co-curricular activities have been organized during the year. This year the school has introduced a new subject called “Theatre and Drama”, where the children get to learn the art of public speaking, body language depiction and the talent of SELF Expression. Every Friday the school showcases a talent hunt by the school children who depict a theme for the students. Class X results - 2021-22 Std X SSC results were announced in the month of June’22. Their harmonization with each other empowers the school to function efficiently and develop with new views and perspectives. Online Classes- “Teaching in the Internet age means we must teach tomorrow’s skills today.” Given by Jennifer Fleming, this quote rightly states the fact that online education has developed a progressive stage. Regular live interactive virtual classes were conducted throughout the academic session. Subjects ranging from Computer, Value Education, Library, Physical Education along with the main subjects were taught through the online platform. The teachers tried their best to make the classes livelier by including videos and PPTs in their presentation to get the concepts clear. Science Practicals were shown through the virtual lab videos. Std X extra classes were also taken in the month of April as well as during the Diwali vacations.
