On 30 January, Martyrs' Day is celebrated in India to pay homage to the victims who fought for the freedom, welfare and progress of India. Grade 2 D students presented assembly on the theme of Martyrs day. Importance of Martyrs day was highlighted.Students also spoke about Gandhiji, Subhash Chandra Bose and Bhagat Singh. A hindi song ‘yeh mere watan ke logo’was sung by the students. 6

Educational field trips give students the opportunity to have first-hand experiences and to explore world. It helps s It helps students to interact with what they are learning. Field trips allow for actual tactile experienc- es, students are able to see it, manipulate it or participate in it physically. 7

. Role play will give children the skills to handle problematic social interactions, such as bullying, which may happen as they progress through life. When children engage in role playing it helps to develop their way of thinking and helps them to develop feelings of empathy. Grade 2 students did a role play based on the situation given to them. They had to use the Golden Words and cre- ate dialog and enact it accordingly. 8

As precap activity ,the students were asked to estimate the length using the non standard units of measurement. They used their handspan and cubit to find the length of the table , whiteboard. They used their pace to find the length of their classroom. This activity helped the students to recall the con- cept of measurement that they had learned in grade 1. 9

The different modes of transport are air, water, and land transport, which includes Rails or railways, road and off-road transport. Other modes also exist, including pipe- lines, cable transport, and space transport. Transport enables trade between people, which is essential for the development of civilizations. ... Transport plays an important part in economic growth and globalization, but most types cause air pollution and use large amounts of land. Students did the precap activity on different modes of transport by drawing their favourite means of transport and mentioned four advantages of each transport 10

Sanyukt akshar is nothing but conjoined consonants. These are alphabets that are made by combining 2 .consonants. It is very important to learn the correct pronounciation as well as the spelling of sanyukth akshar . It plays an important role during the learning process of Hindi language . So Grade 2 Children are writing the sanyukth words name for the given pictures, which is some how connected to their real life . This kind of activity will help to increase their vocabulary . 11

Students learned how to express in Arabic their love for their family, especially the father and mother. Students enjoyed this activity because they not only wrote, but also painted and colour on a small card 12

Paper collage is a technique of an art production where the artwork is created using an assemblage of different forms and shapes using paper. These forms and shapes eventually create a whole image. Grade 2 students are learning paper collage art work by tear small pieces of paper and paste on drawing diagram with different col- oured papers. This activity of collage making help the stu- dents to the develop the mixed media ideas and enhanc- es the motor skills, also it is the study of textures. 13

2020 – Towards the next 50 BIRTHDAY CELEBRANTS The UAE will mark \"2020: Towards the 2C-EYAZHINI DANMAYANANTAN next 50\" through three major events, 2A-AARADHYA TRIPATI namely the inauguration of the Barakah Nuclear Plant, the launch of the Hope Probe and the hosting of the Expo 2020 Dubai. The first quarter of 2020 will witness the inauguration of the first operational phase of the Barakah Nuclear Plant in Al Dhafra, which will make the UAE the first coun- try in the Arabian peninsula to host a nuclear power station, and the first country in the Arab world to utilise a commercial nuclear power station to supply electricity. The Hope Probe is also expected to travel to Mars in the middle of July 2020. With an expected travel time of 200 days, the Hope Probe should reach the Red Planet in the first quarter of 2021, coinciding with the country’s Golden Jubilee. What Next….. 1.
