MOM Mom, what to tell about you mom You are the best in the home. You come open hands when I am scared When no one helps me, you are the only one who cared. Mom, when you are not at home My heart goes all alone. Mom, you treat us all like a friend You always comfort my needs and also buy me dresses of new trend. Mom, how can I tell you How much I and all love you. When I am being stubborn for something You sacrifice your needs and buy me that thing. When I don’t study You motivate me and treat me like my buddy. Infinite words are not enough to tell all about your love and kindness I am fulfilled by your loveliness and brightness. -Aditya Gaur

BE YOURSELF The modern world is advancing rapidly. We are so engrossed in the cut-throat competition that we are losing our individuality. Being trapped in this circle of marks, college admissions, and job packages has given rise to a milieu of discontent students, grinding themselves to win this rat race. I, as a student of this ever-moving modern world, am also a victim of this trap. Despite leaving no stone unturned, why do I always find myself doubting my own self -worth? Why a m I not content with what I have achieved so far? I stumble upon these questions every now and then. That’s because I am well aware of the fact that there are people who are constantly excelling and are many steps ahead of me. This very comparison of self with peers is the basis of self -doubt which holds back not only me, but everyone. Little do we know that life is not about being better than everyone else, but being the best version of ourself? Their win is not my loss. As this realization dawned upon me, my perception took a one-eighty degree turn. So, the lesson I have learnt is that, we must wake up and seize the day, not to be the best, but to be better than we were yesterday. Remember, you are the greatest project you will ever work on. We carry all the power we need, inside ourselves. Focus on self-growth instead of being envious of others’ achievements. The caterpillar doesn’t wake up and just
become a butterfly. Let’s stop comparing ourself with our peers. Every flower bloom in its own time, every flower has its own beauty and essence. No one is you and that is your greatest power. Shivangi Rawat XI-D Simple things People always told me to dream big, shoot for the moon. But you see, I always craved simple things in my life. I don't want to live in a mansion but a house on the prairie, sipping my morning coffee and a book in my hand. I don't want to be around people but just one right company to feel love and peace. I want to sit on the seaside and think about the waves that come and go. I want to think about the sky and sea that meet at the horizon. I want simple things in my life that make me love myself and give me peace. -Sanjana Ojha XI-D
THE BLUE SKY The clouds veiled the sky, It looked like it might cry. The tears of pain turned into pearls, The sun didn't even let it dry. The darkness took refuge behind the dawn, The agony of night was just gone, The rainbow was struggling within the clouds. But soon it went on and on. Hopes rose to the sky, which the sea sent, Not a single storm did it repent, The melancholy eyes turned into diamonds, Shinings with tears, which it didn't even meant. - HARSHITA SHARMA XI A

Growing Up It’s a bit scary, To know that, You are not always going to be, That cute little child, Things around you start getting crazy and a bit wild, You start to realize that, Childhood days were better, When you used to get away, With everything, And you were not scared about, What others think, Not worrying about getting old, But looking back you realize that, Something has changed, Because now when you close your eyes, You go back to those good old days. NO END TO LEARNING What is social science? Many questions about it in my mind arrive. This subject is really nice, It tells us how people earn and strive. Social science has mainly four parts, And knowing them makes you smart. Geography means the study of earth, About crops origin and moon’s birth. Now what is history? It tells us about kings and their lives mystery. Political science tells us about people’s livelihood, Know as much about Constitution or government as you could. Now let’s turn to economics, It’s all about diagrams graphs and pics. We study about the use of money by, What increases the price of gold, silver, sugar or honey ? This subject is so interesting, But during exams it gives us that sinking feeling, Students feel it is so difficult to crack. But if you study well it will have your back. Make it your best friend, Because when it comes to learning, there is no end. Sanjana Kumari XI D
The Human Heart The human heart is one of the most important organs responsible for sustaining life. It is a muscular organ with four chambers. The size of the heart is the size of about a clenched fist. The human heart is located between the lungs in the thoracic cavity, slightly towards the left of the sternum (breastbone). It is derived from the embryonic mesodermal germ layer .The Human Heart is divided into four chambers, the upper two named as atria and the lower two are the ventricles. The ventricles are the chambers that pump blood and the atrium are the chambers that receive blood. Among which both the right atrium and ventricle make up the “right heart,” and the left atrium and ventricle make up the “left heart.” The structure of the heart also houses the biggest artery in the body – the aorta. The right and the left region of the heart are separated by a wall of muscle called the septum. The right ventricle pumps the blood to the lungs for re-oxygenation through the pulmonary arteries. The right semilunar valves close and prevent the blood from flowing back into the heart. Then, the oxygenated blood is received by the left atrium from the lungs via the pulmonary veins. The outer walls of the heart are divided into three parts the Pericardium, Myocardium and the Endocardium. In an organism the Blood vessels are typically of three types- Arteries , Veins and Capillaries. Veins supply deoxygenated
blood to the heart via inferior and superior vena cava, and it eventually drains into the right atrium .Capillaries are tiny, tube-like vessels which form a network between the arteries to veins. Arteries are muscular-walled tubes mainly involved in supplying oxygenated blood away from the heart to all other parts of the body. Aorta is the largest of the arteries. -Ashish Pawar XI-A Trees – My best friend Most important resource is our tree. Trees give us all oxygen, free. Trees give us fruit and vegetables. Trees give animals homes and shelters. Trees are God's gifts for us. So why do we cut them? We cut trees for our selfishness, But they give us life without any selfishness. -Anshuman Singh VII-D
Work is Worship All of us are greatly inspired by the motivational mantra emphasized by Mahatma Gandhi - \"Work is worship\". Before we talk about work and worship, we must understand the correct meaning of both the words. Work means 'action' and worship means giving reference to our (meaningful) 'actions', that is, adoring our work and giving it high acclaim. Work gives meaning to life, it should be a continuous process and our claim should be to enjoy it , no matter what it may be. To substantiate my claim, I would mention one incident, which is concerning the life of the sixteenth U.S President, Abraham Lincoln. One day when President Lincoln was delivering his inaugural speech, he was interrupted by one man, who was a rich aristocrat. The man stood up and said, “Mr. Lincoln, you should not forget that your father used to make shoes for my family\". And the whole senate laughed. Lincoln looked at the man and said, \" Sir, I know that my father used to make shoes in your house because the way he made them , nobody else could. He was a creator….he poured his soul into it. He was a genius, a great creator and I'm proud of my father\". The whole senate was struck dumb. Abraham Lincoln was proud of his father because his father did his job well. What infers from the mentioned instance is the fact that it does not matter what you do but how you do it. We need to
respect our work, our claim should be to enjoy our work, no matter what it may be. The true dignity of our work lies in our interest and enthusiasm with which we accomplish our work and God will always bless and guide us to achieve the optimum result. - Mansi XI-A
You're enough on your own! You're the path to your destiny, Clearly, you've come this far, Without anyone in this harsh war, Wait till your hard work transform into satiny. It must be a tough time for you, When everyone seems to be moving ahead. Things must be bursting like bled, The most important thing is that you're no longer in a queue. That was the exhausting movement, Seeing no progress in yourself. Infact thanks for putting 'YOU' in shelf, Wait until confused you start feeling amusement. I wish to finish your drowning thoughts, But trust me, someone told me everyone go through this. Feel like you are lacking behind, but that's the step which going to end with a good knot, You will be the ‘You’ in the end, with a pure bliss. Aarushi Banerjee XA
Road often taken Once I read a poem called road not taken, But the road I chose is often taken! The road seemed captivating when I spot it for the first time. But when I decided to pursue that road, I discovered the real face of it. The Road which seemed to be beautiful to me earlier now changed its costume. It was enough rough and tough to make a visitor regret on its own decision, I felt a strong revulsion towards it. But, It leads to the most standout success of mine. Thus, I consoled my heart and mind. Decided to KEEP MOVING on this way no matter I run, walk or crawl; I kept moving. In a hope that, Later I will find it memorable in my life. - Shristi Sharma XI A
Changes Occurred in the Last 2 Years As we all know about the changes happened in the last two years. Covid 19 outbreak from Wuhan spread across nations and the whole world got disturbed. Nations put strict lockdown to stop the spread of the contagious Covid 19. The schools, colleges, government & private institutions were also in lockdown. The mode of work went online. Schools are taking classes through online mode. All institutions are doing work from home. This occurrence also has demerits as some students have not got proper internet network connections, unable to study properly and ultimately have been cheating in exams. Students of some remote parts of India do not even have electronic devices and so the internet connection is a far cry. So, the online mode is very useful but not feasible in the long run. Therefore, the traditional offline mode of schooling is crucial for the students. Abhinav Panwar XA

The Covid-19 has resulted in shut down of schools all across the world. Globally, over 1.2 billion children are out of the classroom. As a result, education has changed and has led to rise of e-learning in which teaching is done on digital platforms. Research suggests that online learning has shown to increase retention of information and take less time, meaning the changes coronavirus have caused might be here to stay. - Aarav Bisht IB
Importance of trees One of the important elements which keep life going on this earth is OXYGEN. The life supporting oxygen is the product which we receive from the tree. Hence, trees are the basic manufacturer of oxygen which helps to grow life on Earth. Since last century there has been immense cutting down of the trees for different uses. Men have been cutting trees to make life easy. In this run, the man himself has become the cause of his downfall. Trees purify the air and help in keeping the atmosphere cool. Cutting down of the trees has encouraged global warming which is a global concern. A rise in temperature has been noticed which is not a good symbol for life on Earth. Hence, tree plantation should be encouraged and the cutting of the trees should be minimized. -Aayush Rawat IV-C
