Dear parents,  Greetings!  \"Show me a family of readers, and I will show you the people who move the world.\" – Napoleon Bonaparte We should inculcate in our children  the habit of reading good books like the books related to  general knowl- edge, our epics, books which help in developing scientific temperament and personality development etc. Here are a few best benefits that our children should have as a good reader. Advantages of reading : 1. A promising reader does not just read but also understands the meaning, intent, and message behind the sentences. 2. Expands one’s vocabulary. He/ She interprets the words, spends some time understanding their meaning, and is always eager to learn more. 3. Increases their proficiency in the new language.  4. Sharpens their brain. Reading, when done right, can be an effective exercise for their brain muscle. When reading something new, the brain creates new neurons and strengthens the old ones. It boosts one’s memory and concentration span. Thus, reading is beneficial for brain functions. 5. It is scientifically proven that illustrations impact the human mind more than just words.  6. Another useful technique for a better understanding of the text is visualizing the words. A reader can read the sentences and paint a picture of what the author is trying to say. we should encourage them to read the moral story books which help in personality development. These stories act like guides and help children make the right choices to grow well  in their personal life as well as their professional life. . In fact reading moral stories and true-life stories help children to overcome adversities by inculcating strong values and self belief. Moral values play an essential role in a student's life. They help build a positive character with traits such as compassion, respect, kindness, and humility. They can make students distinguish between right and wrong or good and bad. Moral values also help in shaping students’ attitudes and beliefs towards various aspects of life and provide them with a unique perspective. They may also help in boosting their self confidence and help them stay positive in difficult situations. Students can also benefit from moral education being included in the pedago- gy. Schools play an essential role in teaching moral values as well.  Children learn from the people around them, so in order to teach our kids good values, we  must model them in our life, first. We  may verbally explain numerous values, but our kid will only pick up the ones we  showcase through our own behaviour.
