Introduction to NELC and WorkstreamsThe North East Learning Collaborative (NELC) has been active for over 10 year. It is made up of public and third sector organisationsacross the north east of Scotland. Its aim is to provide best value for the public pound by working jointly to design and deliverydevelopment support which meets member organisation needs. Coaching Skills in the WorkplaceDevelopment OverviewThis is development workshop is designed to give participants an opportunity to develop and practice coaching skills in their workplace. Itis a practical two day workshop which helps to raise self-awareness and provides opportunities to practise in a safe environment the keycoaching skills of listening well and asking questions which help individuals find their own solutions. Stepping into ManagementDevelopment OverviewThis development programme is a set of face to face workshops which give participants an opportunity to learn about core managementtopics. Terms of Delivery NELC Quality Standards: • All trainers are asked to deliver the approved materials as agreed by the NELC Steering Group. If there are any changes, these amendments should be proposed to the programme lead who is responsible for annually reviewing materials and format. • Trainers are responsible for ensuring they have the most up to date materials. NELC Programme Review: • Programme leads may attend any workshop as part of their role in reviewing the materials • All trainers involved in the delivery of NELC programmes will be invited to feedback and input into any reviews Housekeeping General: • Catering is provided on the Stepping into Management programme and not usually for the Coaching Skills in the Workplace. However, a trainer can request catering if the training will be taking place at a remote venue • The Coaching Skills in the Workplace workshop delivery includes practice sessions, therefore it is advisable for trainers to book an additional breakout room where possible CPD development: • NELC regularly provide CPD events and invites the pool of trainers to attend. Suggestions on future CPD development areas are welcome and should be submitted to the CPD lead Fiona Souter • NELC actively promotes personal and professional development and welcomes member organisations sponsoring new trainers to join the training pool
