Messages From Your Teachers Dear everyone: you have had an 8th grade year like no one else in history and some of it was hard. Never forget the good stuff. It's also been a year of airplane battles, and hilarious cornstarch explosions in the lab. There's been good friendships, dances, and basketball games with roaring crowds. As you move on - be yourself, be kind, try hard, accept and learn from your mistakes, and you'll go places. Never forget how important you and your future are. Thank you for making my first year at Parlin one to remember! ~ Ms. L \"Compromise where you can. And where you can't, don't. Even if everyone is telling you that something wrong is something right, even if the whole world is telling you to move. It is your duty to plant yourself like a tree, look them in the eye and say, no. You move.\"-Captain America Civil War Thank you for such a wild and wonderful year. HEARTS FOR HOPE Construction paper hearts on doors, painted hearts on windows, even huge hearts and messages created by lit windows, have shown hope and solidarity during lockdowns! On March 20, The Marriott Fallsview Hotel, in Ontario, Canada, lit up 16 of its rooms, in the shape of a heart. The idea quickly caught on and by Sunday night, the skyline was filled with hearts! The images were shared on social media and seen around the world. Image: Carlos Marquez - Modern Vision Photography Inc.
