And He has taken it out of the way, havingNAILED IT to the cross. 2015-2016 WATERSPRINGS SCHOOL
#NAILEDIT “And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross.” Colossians 2:13-14. “For want of a nail, the shoe was lost. For want of a shoe, the horse was lost. For want of a horse, the rider was lost. For want of a rider, the battle was lost. For want of a battle, the kingdom was lost, and all for the want of a horseshoe nail.” The importance of a nail. Nails are designed to secure things, in this little poem, it shows us the loss of the nails cost was huge and its ultimate effect was, “the Kingdomwas lost.” So too when it comes to us humans, when anyone’s life lacks the 3 nails of the Cross of Christ, their souls will be LOST forever. As Jesus was secured to the Cross with those nails, it opens the door to Heaven, all of the Father’s righteous requirements of perfection were met that day at Calvarym affording us the security of Eternal Life. Jesus truly “nailed it” for us! -Pastor Scotty WATERSPRINGS SCHOOL 2015-2016

#Rwemheenmber Remember when....Paul Bunyon visted the 4th grade with his noble ox and read his story? Or when the 2nd grade ran their own shops from the olden days? Remember when we had a chapel about science and dinosaurs, where we got to touch fossils? Remember when the 5th grade went on a field trip to the dentist’s office? Or the time where the snow was melting and left a huge pond near the playground? This year was filled with many memories, ones that we won’t forget. Hopefully, when you look at these pictures and remember this year, you will remember how much you have learned. LEGA
“When I am old and grayheaded, O God, do not forsake me, until I declare Your strength to this generation, Your power to everyone who is to come.” -Psalm 71:18ACY This is our history. This is our legacy. Plans were made to start the construction of the gymnasium and classrooms for our school, and this year we can see the light at the end of the tunnel. To help with the construction of the new facility, we have been on a journey of prayer, fundraising, giving, and more prayer. Our staff members, students, and parents all have an attitude of anticipation as we wait for this new building, which is going to bless our school trememdously. This year, we embark on the Legacy, a building project that will be used by our school, the church, and the community.
CHAPEL Be Filled “And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit,” -Ephesians 5:18 Have you ever heard of the gospel? Some people refer to it as the good news. Romans 5:8 explains it perfectly, “God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” God loves us so much that He sent His son Jesus Christ to come to the world and ultimately pay the price for our sins by bearing them on the cross. Wouldn’t you agree that that is good news?! This is a reason for celebration, that we get to spend eternity with the Creator of the universe because He made a way for us through His Son. In addition to learning about the Bible every day in class, students come together on Thursday to worship, praise, adore, and thank God by singing worship songs and listening to a message by Pastor Scotty. From Genesis to Revelation, they learn about God’s Word and how they can apply it to their lives. They are given the opportunity to repent from their sins and give their lives to our Savior, Jesus Christ. Each year, we dedicate a week to being filled up! Holy Spirit Week was in February this year and our students gathered every afternoon for Chapel. The theme was “Be Filled” from Ephesians 5:18. Guest worship artists and guest speakers came in to lead our students in praise and to share a message with them. Our students heard the message of being continually filled with the Holy Spirit, and that it isn’t a one time occurance, but a continual thing that keeps us humbly at the feet of Jesus.Kindness • Obedience • Contentment • Fairness • Respect • Perseverance • Compassion • Joyfulness • Forgiveness • Responsib
