ÇOBAN FOOD The food i prepared today is my own creation and there is no spesific name to it. INGREDIENTS:  5-6 strands of parsley  5-6 strands of dill  2 whole mushrooms  1 small carrot  Half of the red pepper  Half of the green pepper  Olive oil  Soy sauce  Curry (spice)  Cajun (spice)  Salt  Tofu  Ramen First boil some water in a pot and put the ramen in with some olive oil and salt. While the ramen is boiling chop some red and green pepper, mushrooms, carrot, parsley and dill. In a pan heat up some olive oil. When the oil is hot enough, put the vegetables in the pan except the parsley, dill and the mushrooms. The ramen is supposed to be cooked by now so take the ramen out of the pan and put it in a bowl but make sure to save the watery part. Put some soy sauce and the ramen’ s water on top of the vegetables and

then put the ramen in the pan and combine everything together by mixing. In the pot we used before put the mushrooms and cook them for about 3-4 minutes. After cooking the mushrooms place them on the ramen but don’t mix it yet. Put the half of the parsley and the dill on the ramen as well. Let it rest for 3 minutes. After 3 minutes mix the ramen and put it in a bowl. I used the tofu for decorating the main course you can cook it by simply putting it in a pan with olive oil,soy sauce and spices. Placethe leftover parsley and dill gently on top of the ramen and decorate it with some tofu. DAMLA ÇOBAN 9/C

Fruity Oatmeal Bowl This recipe is one of the most delicious oatmeal bowls you'll ever see!! This bowl, which you can decorate with the fruits you want, is both sweet and healthy!! Ingredients: 3/4 cup Oatmeal 1 cup Cold milk 1 small Banana 4 medium Strawberries 2 tbsp Honey or cocoa Instructions: Pour the milk and oatmeal into the same bowl. Allow the oatmeal to absorb the milk for 10 minutes. Then take a small or medium saucepan and pour the mixture into the saucepan. Stir gently over medium heat until boiling. After it starts to boil, stir quickly over low heat. When you get the softness you want, take it off the stove and let it cool. Get the banana. Cut in half and mash well with a fork. Add honey or cocoa to your liking. Add this mixture to the oatmeal mixture. Mix it well. Slice half a banana and 4 strawberries on top. LASAGNA Lasagna is a food of Italy. It is a good food that is popular. The most important ingredients are minced meat, onion, gravy, flour, oil, etc. This recipe is for 4-6 people. Ingredients are: Half a pack of lasagna 300 g minced meat 2 onions 2 tomatoes 2 tablespoons of tomato paste 3 tablespoons of oil 2 cloves of garlic For the bechamel sauce; 2 spoonfuls of butter 4 tablespoons of flour 2 cups of milk 1. Put oil in a wide pan. Add the finely chopped onions, after frying a little, add ground beef and continue frying. 2. When the minced meat is sufficiently roasted, add the chopped garlic and the peeled and grated tomatoes and sauté for 10 more minutes on medium heat.

3. Add tomato paste and fry it and add about 1 glass of hot water. After adding salt, take it off the stove and let it cool. 4. For the bechamel sauce, put the butter and flour in a small saucepan and fry over medium heat. Add milk little by little and whisk constantly to avoid lumps. When it reaches the consistency of custard, remove it from the stove. 5. After the minced meat sauce and bechamel sauce are prepared, grease a heat proof baking dish a little and lay the lasagna on the bottom. Spread some bechamel sauce over the lasagna and spread it well. Then pour the minced meat on it. Put the lasagna on it again. Continue this process until you run out of ingredients. 6. Pour bechamel sauce again on the top lasagna and sprinkle with grated cheddar cheese. 7. Leave for 10-15 minutes for the lasagna to soften. 8. RAMEN Ramen is a Japanese food made with Chinese-style noodles. It has many types, it has different types of toppings and flavours. Ingredients  2 chicken breasts  black pepper and salt  1 tablespoon butter  2 tablespoon oil  2 tablespoon fresh ginger  1 Tbsp fresh garlic  3 tablespoon soy sauce  4 cups chicken broth  2 large eggs  1/2 cup scallions  2 packs ramen noodles

 First, marinate the chickens with salt and pepper.  Then melt the butter in the pan with medium heat.  Add chickens into the pan, then cook one side of the chicken for 6-7 minutes.  Flip the chicken then cook it for 5-6 minutes until its color turns golden.  Put the pan into the oven and cook the chickens for 15-20 minutes.  Transfer chickens on a plate and cover with a foil.  Heat the oil in a pot.  Add garlic and ginger and cook it few minutes.  Then add soy sauce and stir the mixture.  Add the chicken broth and let it boil.  Cook it for 10 minutes and add salt.  Boil the eggs for 7 minutes in another pot.  Then put the eggs in a bowl with ice water, then leave it for 5 minutes.  5 minutes later peel the eggs and slice them half.  Chop the scallions and slice the chickens.  Then add the ramen noodles into the boiling mixture and cook it for 4 minutes.  Divide the noodles into two bowls add the sliced chicken and the mixture.  Finally, add eggs and scallions and serve it immediately. PASTA WITH PESTO SAUCE Pasta is one of the most well-known and famous dishes in Italy. It is a sauce preferred in many parts of the world. Derived from the Latin word “pistare”, which means to mash, pesto is a sauce in which the ingredients are regionally diversified and differentiated. It dates back from Roman times when Genoans would crush walnuts with herbs and garlic. Ingredients: For pesto sauce; 2 large bunches of fresh basil 150 grams of parmesan cheese 100 grams of pine nuts 2 cups olive oil 5 cloves of garlic 1/4 teaspoon salt For pasta; A pack of pasta

Instructions:  To make the pesto, mixed the basil, nuts, Parmesan, lemon juice, garlic, and salt in a blender.  Then drizzle the olive oil.  Continue processing until the mixture is well blended.  Cook pasta in a large pot of boiling water.  Drain the pasta.  Meanwhile, heat the oil in a frying pan over medium low heat.  Add pesto, onion, and salt and pepper.  Cook about five minutes.  In a large bowl, mix pesto mixture into pasta.  Stir in grated cheese.  Serve. THE POTATO OMELETTE THE INDREGIENTS: - 2 Eggs - 2 Potatoes - A glass of olive oil - A little salt - A pan THE PROCESS: - First crack the eggs into a bowl and mix them with a fork for over 1 minute. - Peel the potatoes, then chop them. - Pour the olive oil into the pan, then add the potatoes and heat them in high-level temperature for almost 15 minutes. - When the potatoes become fried, pour the eggs into the pan and wait them for fried. - In the end put the omelette into a plate and it is ready for service. - You can add salt too into the omelette.

AVOCADO TOAST Avocado toast is a type of open sandwich. It became a food trend of the 2010s. It has appeared on cafe menus since at least the 1990s. Ingredients: 2 slices of bread 1 soft avocado 2 tbs. of cream cheese 1 egg half of a lemon salt/pepper Instructions: First slice the avocado into 2 pieces. Then mash the avocados. Squeeze some lemon in it then put it away. Second you should toast the bread. After that, spread the cream cheese on the bread and put the mashed avocados on it. The other step is making the scrambled egg. Crack the egg in a pan and stir it with a spoon. When you are done baking, put the scrambled egg on the toast. Finally season them with salt and pepper. FAJITAS Fajitas is a delicious food from Tex-Mex cuisine. It can be made from steak or chicken. In this recipe, steak is used. This recipe is for 4 portions. Ingredients:  500g steak  50 ml olive oil  20 ml lime juice  Chilli powder  Cumin  Black pepper  Hot pepper flakes  Salt  2 onions  4 flour tortillas  2 sweet peppers  1 garlic clove (minced)  Salsa  Chopped tomatoes  Shredded cheese

Instructions: 1. Slice steak into thin strips. 2. In bowl, mix together 1 tablespoons olive oil, lime juice, garlic, chilli powder, cumin, hot pepper flakes, black pepper & salt. 3. Add beef strips and stir to coat, set aside. 4. Wrap tortillas in foil and place in 350° oven for 5-10 minutes or until heated through. 5. Cut onions in half lengthwise and slice into strips, cut your peppers into strips. 6. In large non-stick skillet over medium high heat, heat remaining tablespoons of olive oil. 7. Add onions & peppers stirring for 3-4 minutes, until softened; transfer to a bowl and set aside. 8. Add beef to skillet, cook, stirring for 3-4 minutes or until they lose their red colour. 9. Return onions and peppers to skillet; stir for about one minute. 10.To serve, spoon a portion of the beef mixture down the centre of each tortilla, top with your desired toppings, fold bottom of tortilla up over filling, fold the sides in, overlapping. BROWNIE Today we are going to cook a delicious and easy brownie! Don’t forget to open your oven to 180 degrees before you start so the oven will be ready when the mixture is done. So, let’s start with our ingredients. Ingredients:  2 eggs  1 glass of sugar  250 g of chocolate  200 g of butter, 1 packet vanilla extract  1.5 glasses of flour Instructions: First, crack the eggs to a big bowl and put the sugar in it. Mix them until it turns to yellowish white. Secondly, put the butter into a pan and melt it. After it melts, put the chocolate into the pan and melt it too. Then pour the chocolate-butter mixture into the big bowl and stir. When they are clearly mixed, add the vanilla extract and flour and stir again. Finally, put them into the bowl that you are going to cook your brownie. Put it into the oven and cook it for 25 minutes. Serve hot, enjoy it! Defne Aracı 9/E 720

PANCAKES A pancake is a flat cake, often thin and round, may contain eggs, milk and butter and cooked on a hot surface such as a griddle or frying pan, often frying with oil or butter. It is originally from Ancient Greece Instructions: 2 eggs 2 spoons of sugar 1 glasses of milk 1.5 glasses of flour 1 packet baking powder 1 packet vanillia 2 spoons of olive oil 0.5 glass of butter Instructions: Firstly, mix the egg and sugar. Secondly pour milk, olive oil, baking powder, vanilla and mix it. Lastly fry it with pan and eat it. Oğulcan Özel 9/C



AVOCADO TOAST Ingredients: 1 avocado 3-2 bread Pepper, salt (seasonings) Lemon Walnuts How to make an avocado toast: First you should mash your avocados in a bowl. Second add your lemon and add any seasonings that you want. Then mix them in your bowl. When the mixture is ready, you should spread it to your breads. Actually, at this point your avocado toast is ready but i like to eat it with some walnuts on the top so i sprinkle it at the end. Bon Appetit! Dila Aydoğan - 9B

CHICKEN BREAST PUDDING Chicken breast pudding is a famous dessert invented by Romans. This dessert got passed to the Byzantine Empire and then to Turks. Today I will tell you how to make this delicious dessert by using my grandmother’s recipe. The ingredients: 1L milk, 1 cup of sugar, 1 coffee cup of un, 1 coffee cup of wheat starch, 1 tablespoon of margarine. The recipe: First step, put all the ingredients in a pot. Second step, put the pot on the stove. Third step, open the oven and stir the mixture until it becomes dark. Fourth step, close the oven and mix the mixture with a mixer for 15 minutes. Fifth step, pour the mixture into a glass container. Sixth step, put it in a refrigerator and wait until its cold. Lastly get it out from the refrigerator and serve it. You can put cinnamon on top of it to make the taste better. Bora Aslan – 9D

Braised Meat and Eggs This is the recipe of the food Braised Meat and Eggs this food is usually eaten during breakfast Ingredients: 2 Eggs 200 Grams Braised Meat Instructions: First get the eggs and crack them into a bowl, then stir those eggs until it reaches a yellow color. Then cut the braised meat into eatable chunks and sizes. While doing this get a pan and heat it and put oil until it starts to sizzle. After that put the braised meat into the bowl with the eggs then put the eggs and the braised meat into the pan. Wait for 10 Minutes while flipping the eggs at random intervals. CALIFORNIA ROLL SUSHI Sushi is a traditional food of Japanese Cuisine and sushi is mostly made of raw fish, crab and many other sea animals. California roll is a type of sushi and it is made from crab, avocado, cucumber and rice. INGREDIENTS: 2 cups of sushi rice, cooked ¼ cup seasoned rice vinegar 4 half sheets sushi grade nori 1 teaspoon sesame seed, optional 8 pieces imitation crab 1 small cucumber, cut into matchsticks 1 avocado, thinly sliced INSTRUCTIONS: First of all, we should season the sushi rice with rice vinegar and stir it until it gets to room temperature. Then place one piece of nori on a rolling mat with the rough side facing upwards. Without mashing the rice, put rice on the nori and spread it everywhere and season the rice with a pinch of sesame seeds. Arrange the crab followed by a row of avocado and a row of cucumber. Grabbing both nori and the mat, roll the mat over the filling so the extra space at the bottom touches the other side, squeezing down to make a nice tight roll. Squeeze down along the way to keep the roll from holding its shape. Transfer the California roll to cutting board and slice it into a few portions. ENJOY YOUR CALIFORNIA ROLL!
