The BUFFALO'S PATIENCE Illustrated by Praveen Ghalay
Once upon a time, there lived two friends, a monkey and a buffalo.
The monkey teased the buffalo and made him feel bad by pulling his tail, jumping on his back from the tree.
The buffalo was not happy with the monkey.
Still, the buffalo never used to say anything.
To the buffalo, patience was above anything.
The other animals in the forest were shocked by how the buffalo dealt with the monkey.
They went to the buffalo and asked him.
“How are you bearing this every day? Why don’t you teach him a lesson?”
The buffalo was silent for a moment.
The other animals kept asking him about the monkey and his behaviour.
The buffalo smiled at them and replied, “Dear friends, I am so thankful to the monkey for teaching me how to be patient.”
While he was saying that, the monkey heard and felt ashamed.
The monkey quickly realized his actions and decided to apologize to him.
Immediately, he went to the buffalo and begged him for forgiveness.
The buffalo accepted the monkey’s apologies, and they became good friends again.
Moral: Patience is a virtue.
