Healing
There is no better time to talk about this than right now. Today we going to be openly discussing about what is healing and why it is a such a challenging obstacle to overcome. A lot of us in this society need healing whether we realize it or not. The first step towards this phenomena is to acknowledge that individually we still carry a lot of scars from our past and we shield them with short-term thrills, distractions, pleasures or facades. Some of our wounds are so deep that they remain hidden below the surface and are not always as obvious to tell like physical injury. Most of these are traumatic, emotional, social , psychological, mental and even spiritual. The pain is there and continues to cause harm if it is not properly treated. Since there aren't enough healing centres that focus on holistic health, this creates a vicious cycle of chaos amongst the societal fabric of humanity which eventually leads to a dense stuffy atmosphere.
There's a famous saying that says hurt people, hurt people. This can't get anymore accurate than this because when you really take this in and come into terms with it, you will realize that it is highly unlikely that someone that is healthy and balanced would go out of their way to inflict pain and hurt other people. Even if some sort of issue or conflict spews out of control, it is usually dealt with in an orderly manner. Well... this not exactly the same story when it comes to someone or people that are victims of past trauma and have experienced previous harm.

Chess The game of kings
Exploring the world of chess Chess… a mysterious game that tends to be misunderstood by many. An unpopular activity to engage in - according to the customs of society. However, something that will lead to your profound personal-mental-evolution. One of the keys to a level of logic that will astound many, and ofcourse, a fine teacher of puzzle solving. Those who assume you lack thinking abilities, can be proved wrong by your engagement in this game. You need to think deeply to engage in this game and obtain victory. It will challenge all corners of your thinking department. So what is Chess?
Chess is a game of strategy that takes place on a board. A two player game. 16 pieces for each player: A queen, a king, a couple of bishops, a couple of knights, a couple of rooks, and eight pawns. All come together to form your army. An army you must send forth to battle the army of your opponent, and capture their king - Did you know, that the that is the goal. history of Chess can be traced back to 1500 years ago? It began in Northern India and then spread throughout the Asian continent. This is one game that has been around for a long, long time. One thing is clear for sure, no one can deny the fact that in the world of board games… Chess is clearly an Elder.
Two significant events that took place in the history of Chess: The first World Chess Championship was hosted in 1886. The 20th century revolutionized Chess with the invention of databases and Chess engines. Chess engines are computer programs that generate what they regard as the best chess moves. They can actually generate a whole list of So when you challenge your moves as well. laptop or computer to a game of chess and you are issued a humiliating, bone crushing defeat, you have the chess engine to blame for that! You don't have to give up though, just keep practicing. The engine may be smart, but you must be smarter - just as when you are playing the game against family or friends. Perhaps you decide to take things to a whole new level and enter a tournament. The same rule still applies - play smarter than your opponent.
Ideally, Chess is a game that should be played in absolute silence. In professional Chess tournaments you can get disqualified by engaging in a conversation with someone other than your opponent. The rule-of-silence is very serious. In casual games on the streets or in your house, it is still highly recommended - even though it's not mandatory. Being a chatter box could cause you to miss one finer detail that could cost you the entire game. Focus! Don't take the rule-of- silence for granted. There is so much the game of Chess can put the mind through. It is an experience you don't want to miss. If you've never played Chess before, now is a good time to start. Your mind will go on an adventure it has never encountered.

Creatives Corner WHERE ART HANGS OUT
Nkosinathi Mbatha, captures the dynamic awe-inspiring emotion and story in the faces of everyday people. His surrealistic depictions of the transformative effects of light and color in the faces of people and their stories are life-affirming and inspire people to connect with something much bigger than themselves, their desires and their art that exists in our DNA and in our past.
He has a reverence for nature and love of the stories that exist in people’s ideas of home and identity. The artist has been a part of numerous small group exhibitions in Victoria Yards, he is a part of an exhibition opening in Rome alongside South Africa’s own Giggs Kgole as well as 3 other upcoming young South African visual artists.
My Name is Thabe and My Brand is $LAV€ which started 2018 but to be honest everything lined up together 2019 thats when I saw a gap that my label can fill. During my high school days I was always the quiet fly dude more especially when we would wear casual on specific days ,then when I finished high school I wanted to do Fashion Design. Unfortunately I didn't get accepted then thats when I did my footwear manufacturing in Changsa ,for me I would like to say 60 percent of my work is self taught because at home the sewing machine was always there.
Fast forward till today we still do everything on our own except T-shirts and embroidery My designs are based on the everyday life we live in... inspiration is everywhere for me especially on the street and the internet sometimes plays a big role first you have to see what people see and how would your brand fit ina 'the society but don't forget to add your taste. Like I said earlier I've always been a big fan of fashion , its not hard for me to design something dope but whats hard is reading people's mind because you don't know whether they will like it or not .
In 2030 The brand will be strong and kicking with some sick designs as always. That year is where we will be local but internationally celebrated. The brand name is strong without a doubt, if you hate it then you on your own. My advice for anyone that wants to start a brand or own one someday is that don't listen to anyone especially those who act like they know. Define what you love, live by it and die by it. Take time when you busy with your things, unnecessary competition drains your energy.
Poetry
JONATHAN LEFENYA
Jonathan Lefenya is a Soweto spoken word artist whose work flings open the narrow window of language, through which we are accustomed to describing reality and in so doing, compels both Self and audience to reflect on the plight and plethora of the human condition. Growing up he had neither a sense of the world nor his place in it, so the poet uses writing as a metaphor for control. As a performance poet, his work is that of remarkable pliability and nuance. I am Based in Soweto. As a copywriter, a director, a script writer, a theatre practitioner if I were to use an umbrella term, I am working towards becoming one of the greatest performers of my generation, I hope in 2030 I would have surpassed that feat and working towards a greater goal.
