Even Numbers and Odd Numbers DELHI PUBLIC SCHOOL MIYAPUR What is an Even Number? • Any number that can be exactly divided by 2 is called as an even number. • Even numbers always end up with the last digit as 0, 2, 4, 6 or 8. • Some examples of even numbers are 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16. • These are even numbers as these numbers can easily be divided by 2. • It should be noted that the smallest positive even number is 2. • If you pick a number that cannot be divided by 2 is known as an odd number. • For Example- 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, etc. 4

•Prime and Composite Numbers: DELHI PUBLIC SCHOOL MIYAPUR The numbers which cannot be broken into factors other than 1 and itself are known as prime numbers e.g., 2,3,5,7,11,13… The numbers which can be expressed as product of factors other than 1 and itself are known as composite numbers. For example, 4, 6, 8,9 .. 5

What are Co-Prime Numbers?
