Research Publications/Papers Dr. Rambalak Yadav Role of big data analytics capabilities to improve sustainable competitive advantage of MSME service firms during COVID-19 – A multi-theoretical approach DOI: https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S0148296322004325 Abstract: The present research uses a mixed-method approach conducted in the two-phase: Phase 1- qualitative study (thematic analysis) and phase 2- quantitative analysis (structural equation modeling). The thematic analysis helps identifythe motivators- “reason for” and barriers- “reason against” among users while using healthcare apps. Further, the output of the thematic analysis was incorporated into the questionnaire survey to get a comprehensive understanding. A total of 311 usable responses were collected through the survey for testing the hypothesized relationships. The findings suggested personal value (openness to change) and social value were associated with “reason for” and “reason against,” which further influences users’ attitudes and intentions towards using healthcare apps. The findings also confirm domain-specific innovativeness moderating effect on the association between reason against & intention and attitude and intention towards using healthcare apps Dr. Ashish Kumar International Journal of Emerging Markets: a bibliometric review 2006–2020 DOI: https://www.emerald.com/insight/content/doi/10.1108/IJOEM-05-2021-0668/ full/html Abstract: This paper conducted a retrospective bibliometric analysis to commensurate IJoEM’s fifteenth anniversary in 2020. The content analysis related to the most important streams over the last one and a half decades and finally, a set of future research questions on emerging markets in finance, economics, business, marketing, and accounting, focused on emergent investments opportunities, trends in behavioural finance, the emerging role of technology- financial companies, and changing trends in corporate governance. VOLUME 8 | JULY TO SEPTEMBER 2022 Abstract: This paper has examined the factors affecting entrepreneurial intention among therural adult population in India using the social cognitive theory (SCT). Design/methodology/approach–This study is based on the Adult Population Survey (APS) ofthe Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM) of 2017. The data has been analyzed using simple techniques such as chi-square statistics, correlation, and logistics regression Findings–About 16 percent of the rural adults have reported entrepreneurial intention in India. A significant relationship emerged between the demographics of rural adults with and without intention towards entrepreneurship. Finally, the regression model representing two components of the social cognitive theory i.e. confidence towards entrepreneurship and outcome expectations from entrepreneurship, showed a significant impact on entrepreneurial intention among the rural population when controlled by family size and working status. Dr. Vaseem Akram Convergence Analysis of Social Sector Expenditure and its Components: Evidence from the Indian States DOI: https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/abs/10.1080/00036846.2022.2118962 Abstract: This study examines the total per capita health expenditure convergence across 25 Indian states by disaggregating total per capita health expenditure into revenue and capital health expenditure. This study uses the recent Lagrange Multiplier and Residual Augmented Least Squares-Lagrange Multiplier unit root and club convergence tests. Results of unit-root tests indicate the evidence of convergence for aggregate per capita health expenditure and its compositions. The speed of convergence of total per capita health expenditure is found to be approximately 0.15%. Results from sub-panels reveal that special-category states are converging. Based on the findings, it may be appropriate for the central government to design the equalizing transfer system and revisit poor states’ per capita health expenditure patterns. Dr. Minakshi Kumari Developing a prescriptive decision support system for shop floor control DOI: https://www.emerald.com/insight/content/doi/10.1108/IMDS-09-2021-0584/full/ html Abstract: The work is about developing a decision support system that begins with the development of a simulation model for a manufacturing shop floor. The developed model facilitates prediction followed by prescription. As a connecting link between prediction and prescription mechanism, heuristics for intervention have been proposed. IIM JAMMU NEWSLETTER / 29

Sequential design and simulation-based demonstration of activities that span from development of a multi-machine shop floor model; a prediction mechanism and a scheme of intervention that ultimately leads to prescription generation are the highlights of her study. Dr. Rambalak Yadav “Understanding the users’ motivation and barriers in adopting healthcare apps: A mixed-method approach using behavioral reasoning theory,” DOI: https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S004016252200453X Abstract: The present research examines the attitude and intentions of individuals by applying the theoretical lens of Behavioral Reasoning Theory (BRT). The study uses a mixed- method approach and has been conducted in two phases: Phase 1- qualitative study (one-to-one interview: 30 respondents) and Phase 2: quantitative study (survey-based questionnaire- 348 responses). The qualitative part employs thematic analysis, and the quantitative study has been analyzed using SEM. Through the qualitative research, the study has identified self-image perceived negative effect and salvage value as the ‘reasons for’, whereas inconvenience, lack of support system, and emotional attachment have been identified as the ‘reasons against’ e-waste recycling. The findings show that moral and social norms significantly impact individual reasoning (‘reason for’/‘reason against’) and attitude toward e-waste recycling. Primary data has been collected from 480 SNS users and analysed by adopting the deep neural network architecture based on the innovative dual-stage PLS-SEM and ANN method to predict and rank the factors influencing the sustainable consumption behavior in SNS. The results revealed the normalized importance ofthe factors and found that agreeableness was the strongest predictor of sustainable consumption behavior followed by e-mavenism, openness, extraversion, and conscientiousness. 30 / PANORAMA

VOLUME 8 | JULY TO SEPTEMBER 2022 Dr. Vaseem Akram Public health expenditure convergence across indian states: new evidence from lm and rals-lm tests DOI: https://www.worldscientific.com/doi/10.1142/S0217590822500631 Abstract: This paper examines the convergence of public expenditure and its components using the sub-national data from India. By employing the panel club convergence test, the paper finds convergence in per capita public expenditure across Indian states implying distribution policies of public expenditure are effective and fair across the states. Subsequently, convergence of per capita total social sector expenditure and its components are studied. The results support the evidence of convergence for total social sector expenditures and in case of its components, we find that 6 of the 9 components display regional convergence. Three components, namely, per capita education, sports, art and culture expenditure, per capita social security and welfare expenditure and per capita rural development display the evidence of divergence and the presence of multiple transition paths. From the policy perspective, these three components of social expenditures need greater attention by the state governments as these expenditures are important for social cohesion, sustainable development and for achieving Millennium Development Goals. Dr. Muqbil Burhan Measuring factors influencing entrepreneurial intention across gender in India: Evidence from Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM) Database DOI: https://www.emerald.com/insight/content/doi/10.1108/JRME-08-2021- 0105/full/html Abstract: This paper aims at measuring the factors such as cognitive, economic, and social recognition affecting entrepreneurial intention across gender in India. Design/ methodology/approach – This study is based on the Adult Population Survey (APS) of Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM) covering 4000 respondents on their characteristics, perception, and attitude towards entrepreneurship and intention of individuals for starting businesses. The data has been analyzed using chi-square statistics and logistics regression. Findings - The relationship between the perceptions towards cognitive, economic and social recognition indicates variation across gender. The probability of becoming entrepreneurs among males and females are significantly influenced by a variety of factors such as cognitive (self-efficacy, knowledge about entrepreneurs and fear of failure), economic (perceived opportunity, career choice and easy to start), and social recognition (sense of equality, status and respect in the society and social welfare) with controlling effect of age, family size, education, working status and household income.
