When I was a child (10, far too old to be doing this), I would easily get distracted by things in shops. If it had a button or looked shiny or colourful, I had to stop and mess with it. This used to do my mum’s head in, because she needed to constantly have me in her line of sight. One day I was in Ashton with her. We went into a shop and I had gotten distracted by something, this time she saw me do this, and she kept on walking and hid at the end of the aisles. When I had grown bored of the item I looked up and couldn’t see her and had a mini breakdown. It worked, thought. To this day I cant think of a time that I have started pushing stuff in a shop.

When I was little I used to look at rainbows. One day I went out in the garden before everyone else got up and the grass had dew on it, shining in the sun. As I moved slowly from side to side, one little drop of dew become a brilliant jewel, gradually changing colour through the shades of the rainbow. ….red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet and back to red again. Then I turned around and every single drop of dew became a multi coloured jewel in the grass, I never wanted to go inside for breakfast, I just wanted to stay there looking at the changing colours for ever. Another day it was raining and I went for a walk to the shop round the corner with mum, wearing my wellies, In the road was a patch of oil that had dropped from a car. In the wetness, the oil had turned into a beautiful rainbow, with big areas of colour in the middle and thin stripes of colours at the edges. As I splashed in the puddle, the colours changed and shimmered. I wanted to stay there all day and not go to the shop at all. I loved to blow bubbles, - we made our own bubble liquid, me and my sisters, and we each tried to blow the biggest ones. But what I loved best was the rainbows on the surfaces of the bubbles, as they slowly slid round the globe of the bubble's fragile skin, getting thinner and thinner, paler and paler until the bubbles burst and were gone. When I was little I used to look at rainbows; I still do.

My memory is from many years ago of working in a car factory in Coventry. I left school and became an apprentice at Chrysler. Car engines were made there, 1lt to 1.6 lt. The same engine had been made there for a couple of decades. The machinery was old and most had been used during the Second World War. It had many different areas responsible for different parts of the engine. The was a foundry for making engine blocks cylinder heads and hardening valves and con rods. The foundry was an unofficial short cut from one part of the factory to another. It was dark dusty dirty and smoky. It was hot and smelt of metal. Because of the heat the men working in there often only wore shorts or nothing under their overalls, even in the coldest winter. Light came from dirty lights up near the roof but the main red orange and yellow light came from the furnace and the flow of molten metal. It was a different world from the rest of then factory. In one department, the Quality department I worked with two men who had been engineers in the war. They were near to retirement when I worked there. They never really talked about the war. At break times they always used the same chairs, nobody else was allowed to sit in their chairs. Every week engines and parts of engines would be delivered and tested for cracks and other defects. This department was very clean and ordered. It also had a doctor’s surgery and a competitions department. The competitions department looked after the companies rally cars. To enter rally competitions the company had to make a certain amount of road version rally cars. These had very large powerful engines. They were given to certain employees. The doctor could not handle his and regular crashed. Every time this happened he received a new one. The factory does not exist anymore.

Final image I didn’t want to edit this image because I didn’t feel the need to edit the image because I liked the way it looked and also the darkness of the image is interested in its self.

Final image Why have I done this I have done this image this way because I like how the blue dress stand out well in this image because it brings the colour out and it blends well with all the other colours around the dress. I made this image bright and colourful because it looked nice and the contrast helped the dark parts come out where the vail is and the patterns on the arms of the dress.

Final image Why have I done this I have done this to this image because I wanted something different because I was trying to get the flowers to change colour which I achieved on because the flowers are now pink instead of dark red and also made the background dark but not to dark so that you can see the girl in the image and that the flower stand out so you can see them. Why do you like this image I like this image because it burst the colours of the dress and the flowers so they stand out and they are in focus the flowers give more meaning to the image because the audience will be thinking how does pink flowers connect to a gothic theme dress.

Final image Why have I done this I have this image this way because I wanted it to connect more with the gothic theme for my project and also it looks very pretty in black and white it gives off a strong emotional feeling the person is sad. Why do you like this image I like this image because it give off that it’s a dark gothic look instead of something in a fairy tales that’s bright with colours and makes the audience think about why she is there and looking down.

Final image Why have I done this I have edited this image this way because I wanted the image to be black and white to show the darkness behind the image.
