QUESTION #14 INDEPENDENCE VERSUS DEPENDENCE: HEY, I HAVE THE RIGHT TO BE INDEPENDENT AND DO WHATEVER I WANT TO, RIGHT? (SOME WOULD ADD, “AS LONG AS NO ONE GETS HURT”) First: Remember Rule #1, Listening, and Questions Underlying Claim: This claim buys into the Antifa movement and the extremist wing of libertarianism: I should be free, without any governmental or socially imposed consequences, to do whatever I choose, including free sex and drugs. KEY VERSES: • Proverbs 14:12-13 “There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. Even in laughter the heart is sorrowful; and the end of that mirth [pleasure] is heaviness.” Remember: Seems right or a claimed right ≠ right! • 1 Corinthians 6:19 “What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?” Comment: The New Testament Church is never referred to as “your body.” It is referred to as “His body,” Ephesians 1:22-23; Colossians 1:24. For this
150 Country Preacher’s Almanac reason, many, including this author, George Garner, understand that in context, 1Corinthians 6:19 refers to the individual and 1Corinthians 3:16 refers to the church. • Romans 14:7 “For none of us liveth to himself, and no man dieth to himself.” • 2 Corinthians 3:2 “Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men:” • Acts 17:28 “For in him [God] we live, and move, and have our being [exist]; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.” • James 1:27 “Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.” • Galatians 6:7 “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.” ANALYSIS: QUESTION: What have Antifa or the extremist wing of the libertarians liberated or recently improved? Are drug addicts and those with STDs truly free to do whatever they choose? Antifa: short for antifaschistisch [German for anti-fascism], was initiated by the German Communist Party in 1932 to counter mainly Nazism. Just a few years ago, the word was not even found in most American dictionaries. Today the movement is known for anarchy and violence and is being used by the far left to burn buildings, destroy statues, attack innocent bystanders, and even take over parts of cities. It is a tool to accomplish a major objective of communism: CHAOS! Extreme Libertarianism: takes the fundamental philosophy of liberty to do what one chooses, so long as it doesn’t hurt anyone else, to the extreme. Their view of Libertarianism would do away with laws and make prostitution and drug use free and open. Their philosophy ignores the reality of harm not just to the individual,
A Preacher & Parent’s Guide to Protecting the Next Generation151 but also that comes to the family and greater community when certain freedoms are taken to the extreme. The 1619 Project: Brought to the forefront by the New York Times in 2019, makes slavery the centerpiece of America’s founding as a nation. It discounts the values and principles set forth by our founding fathers in the Constitution and related documents, and it re-writes or ignores the subsequent journey, including the Civil War, to truly make “a more perfect union.” It is replacing the real history of America with a myth that leads to increasing racial and social divisions and hatred! It must be stopped. How? first understand its basic politicization. An excellent exposure of the 1619 Project is given by Mary Grabar, Debunking the 1619 Project: Exposing the Plan to Divide America. Well worth reading! Also, be sure to read the article by Bro. James A. Harris under Questions #11 IS THERE A FORM OF GOVERNMENT TODAY THAT IS MOST COMPATIBLE WITH THE TEACHINGS OF BIBLICAL CHRISTIANITY? THE FOLLOWING MAY BE SLOW READING, BUT PLEASE DO READ IT! The Politicization. Both Antifa and Extreme Libertarianism, find an ally in the Postmodernism movement that emerged at the end of WWII. Antifa and many of today’s Postmodernists are philosophically, if not in reality, a part of the Neo-Marxist movement. The Neo- Marxists came to realize that the Marx’s theory of the working class (proletariat) rising up against the capitalistic property owners (bourgeois) and bringing about a socialist state toward communism could not succeed in the materialistically successful West. The Neo-Marxists took Marxism and changed it to bring division in society through confusing sexual identities and racial divisions.
152 Country Preacher’s Almanac Their dialectic has led to destruction of statues, re-writing of history, and destruction of foundational institutions such as the family, church, and the Constitution. The result has truly led to CHAOS in society. Sadly, much of this confusion is being instilled in our youth and adults through schools, corporations, Liberation Theology/Social Justice pulpits, the media, and Hollywood! Result: Judicial Activism, Identity Politics, Critical Race Theory (under varying names), the 1619 Project, and the LGBTQ+ movements are rapidly destroying America as our founding fathers envisioned it. RESPONSE & CONCLUSION: 1. Show from Scripture and The Obvious that no one except God is truly independent. *A logical conclusion: since, as scientists acknowledge, everything in the universe is dependent on something else, then the whole universe itself is logically dependent on something or someone greater than itself— WHAT or WHO? Acts 17:28! 2. Show from Scripture, personal modeling, and logic what healthy independence and dependence look like. 3. Ask them: a. Should you have the right to not stop at STOP signs? (Free from any consequences for refusing to stop?) Logic? b. How do you feel when someone runs a STOP sign in front of you? Is that emotion right? c. Should you be assured of food even if you refuse to do anything that you can to earn or buy it? — 2 Thessalonians 3:10, Scriptural imperative and logic d. Should I, as your parent, be morally free to exercise a post- abortion termination of my teenage son as long as I can do it in a way that doesn’t “hurt” you? Logic e. Is there anyone or anything in the universe that is truly
A Preacher & Parent’s Guide to Protecting the Next Generation153 independent? Evidence f. What does God in Scripture tell us not to do that will not hurt us or someone else? g. What does a “victimless crime” [anything illegal or Biblically immoral] look like? h. Look with me at the above given Scripture and share with me what it means. Is that how I should respond in our relationship and with others? CONCLUSION OF THIS BOOK The task of the preacher and the parent is much like that of a farmer. For a good crop and healthy stock, one must understand the soil, fertilizer, food, the difference between a healthy plant or animal and a diseased one, and how to protect, vaccinate, and treat the plants and animals against the many things that can kill them. This book has sought to provide some protections (vaccinations— sometimes OUCH!) that are found in God’s Word and demonstrated by true science and what used to be known as common sense! As Josh Billings (the popular nineteenth-century humorist) once said, “The trouble with most folks is not so much their ignorance. It’s knowing so many things that ain’t so.” The authors have sought 1) to carefully document and help the reader clearly understand many things that the world declares to be true but ain’t so, and 2) provide biblically sound protections (vaccinations) against the lies of the world. We pray that by prayerful study and application, you will find this book to be continually helpful. To God alone be the glory!
PART III: APPENDIXES
APPENDIX 1 THREE BARRIERS TO THE GOSPEL MESSAGE BY GEORGE G. GARNER How to Target Barriers to the Gospel 1Corinthians 9:16-22; 1 Peter 3:14-16 By George G. Garner I take seriously, “He that answereth a matter before he heareth it, it is folly and shame unto him.” (Proverbs 18:13). Those who have been in my Fundamentals of Speech class can answer, “What is the most important communication skill?” Listening. Before going to any field, I study the culture: the religious influence and world view. I invariably find that the problem of evangelism is really, according to Scripture, the same in Costa Rica, Japan, Turkey, or Kenya as in America. The problem is three basic barriers to the gospel. The Intellectual Barrier Define the intellectual barrier in two ways: I. Fallacious logic/reasoning A. For example, the wealthy, “successful” farmer of Luke 12:19 who reasoned, “And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat,
158 Country Preacher’s Almanac drink, and be merry.” The fallacy: Luke 12:20-21, “But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided? So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.” B. The Bible was written long ago and is therefore irrelevant. “Thou shalt not steal” written long ago. Irrelevant? II. Fallacious claims of evidence A. His disciples stole Jesus’ body from the grave, Mt. 28:11-13. B. Islam: Jesus really never died on the cross, Sura 4:157. Respond in four ways: 1. Start by presenting oneself as a living sacrifice, Romans 12:1-2, and with and with a spirit of meekness and godly reverence, I Peter 3:15 2. Listen and ask questions to make sure you understand the flaws in their thinking or fallacious evidence that is getting in their way. (See Part I, Chapter 1 “Listening”) 3. Expose false reasoning by demonstrating valid reasoning *1 Peter 3:15 Flagship verse for Apologetics *Example: John 20:28. Here Thomas acknowledged Jesus as His God, the God. Not only did Jesus not correct him, Jesus blessed him and all who have not seen Him but believe He is the God. 4. Expose false evidence by presenting credible evidence, truth as found: a. Disciples Recorded evidence for the resurrection 1. Paul, 1 Corinthians 15:6- over 500 witnesses (Majority remain) 2. Thomas, John 20:28 3. Peter, 2 Peter 1:16-19 ‘eye witnesses,’ ‘sure word of prophecy’
A Preacher & Parent’s Guide to Protecting the Next Generation159 b. in the general revelation of nature, Romans 1:20 c. in the special revelation of Scripture, John 20:31. d. Complement these with an increasing wealth of historical documents and archaeology (excellent references at BaptistTrainingCenter.org). Look up on the internet “How can we know that the Bible is reliable?” STAND TALL ON THE CLAIM THAT THE BIBLE IS A RELIABLE RECORD! The Emotional Barrier I. Help them recognize the emotional barrier A. Listen, listen, listen for the fears, guilt, anger, pride, resentment, unforgiving spirit, etc. that Satan may use to close one’s ears and heart to the gospel. B. Ask them prayerfully phrased questions to help them consider what you see. Example: “It sounds to me like you may be afraid of what might happen if you consider Jesus. Is that how you are feeling?” If they say, “no,” then ask, “Can you tell me how you do feel when we talk about Christ as the Saviour?” Whatever their answer, continue to listen. II. Show them how Christ, the great physician, can remove the barrier from their hearts A. Share a verse of Scripture that gives help for their emotional barrier. Example: One who fears rejection by family. Remember: 1Corinthians 10:13. Response: Psalms 27:10 and 68:6; Hebrews 13:5 B. Share a personal testimony or that of someone they respect (or anonymous). • Example: Misao Amari, father of Shinji Amari; accepted Christ during WWII and was rejected by his
160 Country Preacher’s Almanac father a Shinto and Buddhist, who later saw the change in his life and came to Christ. • Dr. Barry Leventhal, a Jewish convert. He was captain of the UCLA football team when they won their conference championship. He was then selected as Outstanding Jewish Athlete in America. Six weeks later, after prayerfully studying Isaiah chapter fifty-three, he trusted Christ as his Messiah! He went on to become a famous Christian apologist. C. Study Appendix 3 on The Role of Emotions, by James A. Harris III. The Volitional (unwilling to know) Barrier, 2 Peter 3:5 A.Help them acknowledge any volitional barrier. 1. You can ask, “What evidence or trustworthy promise would lead you to consider the truth-claim of the gospel for your life?” This may open a door. 2. You can only assume a volitional rejection when they say: “Even if everything you could say is true, I do not want to know that truth; I do not want to believe.” B.Acknowledge that some people will not respond to the intellectual or emotional answers of our Lord. 1. II Peter 3:5 “For this they willingly are ignorant of . . .” 2. Luke 22:67, “Art thou the Christ? tell us. And he said unto them, If I tell you, ye will not believe:” – They had heard Him clearly present the truth; they had seen his love, forgiveness, and life-giving power, but they willed not to believe. 3. II Timothy 4:3 “For the time will come when they will not endure [put up with] sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;”
A Preacher & Parent’s Guide to Protecting the Next Generation161 WHAT CAN WE DO? C.Minister to the volitional barrier in three ways: 1. Love them, Do them good, and Pray for them • Matthew 5:44, “But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;” 2. Keep a Tender Heart • Romans 10:1, “Brethren, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved.” 3. Show the love of Christ through your daily life example. • John 13:35, “By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.” • 2 Corinthians 3:2, “Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men:” Conclusion: God’s Word points to at least three basic barriers to the gospel and provides us guidance to help the willing hearer confront and demolish every barrier. • 2 Corinthians 10:3-5, “For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;” Dearly beloved, I pray that the truth of God’s Word which I have shared may challenge each heart who knows Christ to prepare and then go forth to target barriers to the gospel. For we are promised concerning Christ’s church, “...the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” Matthew 16:18.
APPENDIX 2: REASONING/LOGIC PRINCIPLES INHERENT TO MAN THREE BASIC LAWS OF REASONING: LNC (Law of Non-contradiction): a claim cannot be both true and false at the same time using the same definition of terms. Matthew 7:15; 24:24; John 8:12, 32, 42-47; 1 John 4:1; 1 John 2:21; 2 Corinthians 1:18; Galatians 3:16; 1 John 4:1 LEM (Law of Excluded Middle): either something is true or false, but not both. Matthew 12:30: Luke 12:23; I John 3:10, 1:5 LI (Law of Identity): what is true is true and what is false is false. Matthew 5:37, else true could mean false, yes could mean no, and good could mean not good. For more on this see also Geisler’s BECA (Baker Encyclopedia of Christian Apologetics), 260ff and Come Let Us Reason. TWO TYPES OF REASONING: 1. Inductive: pieces together little facts to construct a larger picture of reality. Example: Of the four million men in Florida who were tested, over 97% of them had two big toes. Therefore, we conclude that any man tested at random probably has
164 Country Preacher’s Almanac two big toes. (a reasonable conclusion if by probably one means at least 95% and if a uniform definition of big toes is applied) 2. Deductive: starts with a known picture of reality and uses it to try to draw small conclusions from it. Example: Most men in Florida have two big toes; John is a man in Florida; Therefore, John probably has two big toes. THREE WAYS OF KNOWING: 1. Operational Science: looks at things which can be observed, tested, repeated, and falsified to discover truth— what is most often thought of as “science.” 2. Origin Science/Forensic Science: relies on relics from the past and historical records to discover truth. TV CID shows, archeology, paleontology, and palaeography are examples. 3. Revealed Truth: Found through writings on theology. These can be tested according to Scripture based on statements from reliable, multiple witnesses and accuracy of prophetic claims. (2 Peter 2:16-21); nature (Psalm 19:1, and Romans 2:14, knowledge of God through the conviction of conscience by the Comforter (the Holy Ghost)— John 16:8. 3 BASIC SYLLOGISMS (These are found throughout the Bible. Powerful!) Syllogism: a deductive (see above) argument consisting of premises (claims) and a conclusion. #1 Disjunctive Syllogism (either… or, is true, but not both) • A Valid Syllogism: Example: Mat. 21;25, John’s Baptism: either from heaven or of men; Checkmate! 21:25, they saw that it must be one or the other [the choices are in fact to them the only reasonable choices], and either answer nails them!
A Preacher & Parent’s Guide to Protecting the Next Generation165 * The conclusion of this Hypothetical Syllogism is logically valid, but also necessarily true only if all the previous claims (premises) are true. Christ’s ability to offer eternal life to all depended on his ability to conquer death. • An Invalid Syllogism: Example: Matthew 22:17, Tribute to Caesar: either give or not give! Jesus showed a third valid answer 22:21: Give to both what is rightfully theirs! I can see those Jews thinking they could use the same logic to trip Jesus that He used against them in Matthew 21:25. Ha!!! Truth will win out! #2 Hypothetical Syllogism (If . . . then, or then not) • A Valid Syllogism: Example: John 12:32 “(A) If I be lifted up [conquer death] . . . [then], (B) I will draw all men unto me.” Jesus did conquer death, Mat. 28:6; Therefore, He will draw all men unto Him! * The conclusion of this Hypothetical Syllogism is logically valid, but also trustworthy only if all the previous claims (premises) are true. Christ’s ability to offer eternal life to all depended on his ability to conquer death. The Christ deniers couldn’t dispute this reasoning. • Also, Matthew 22:45-46, Jesus, “If David call him [Christ] Lord, then how is he his son?” Note: The king of Israel would call only God, Lord. #3 Categorical Syllogism (All A’s are B; C is in the A’s; therefore: C is B) A Valid Syllogism: Example: Rom. 3:23 First claim: (A) All have sinned and (B) come short of the glory of God; Second claim: (C) John is in the category of (A); therefore, Conclusion: (C) John has come short of the glory of God. (B) The conclusion of this Categorical Syllogism is logically valid, but also necessarily true only if the first two claims (premises) are true.
APPENDIX 3: BIBLICAL PROOFS THAT JESUS IS GOD USE OF THE DEDUCTIVE CATEGORICAL SYLLOGISM “Proof that Jesus is God” Categorical Syllogism Example: Form: All mortal men (A) are sinners (B) All A’s are B George (C) is a mortal man (A) C is A Therefore, George is a sinner Therefore: C is B THE ALPHA/OMEGA; FIRST/LAST Isa 44:6;48:12; Rev. 1:8,11,18 (A) The* Alpha/Omega Is (B) God (C) Jesus Is (A) The Alpha/Omega (C) Jesus Is (B) God Note: ”The” exhausts the category. The is all. “All that is Alpha/Omega” THE LORD Isa. 45:5,18; John 20:28 The Lord Is God Jesus Is The Lord Jesus Is God
168 Country Preacher’s Almanac THE CREATOR Isa. 44:24; 45:18 “alone, none else”; John 1:3; Col. 1:16,17 The Creator Is God Jesus Is The Creator Jesus Is God THE SAVIOUR Isa. 43:11; John 4:42; Tit. 2:13; 3:6 (Tit. 3:6) The Savior Is God Jesus Is The Savior Jesus Is God THE REDEEMER Isa. 44:6; Eph. 1:7; Acts 20:28 The Redeemer Is God Jesus Is The Redeemer Jesus Is God THE ALMIGHTY Gen. 17:1; Rev. 1:8 The Almighty Is God The Almighty Jesus Is God Jesus Is THE ONE WORTHY OF WORSHIP Example: 34:14; Mt. 2:11, 28:17 The One Worthy of Worship Is God Jesus Is Worthy of Worship Jesus Is God LOGICAL CONCLUSION: If only God exclusively bears certain names and only God is worthy of worship, then Jesus, who according to Scripture rightfully bears these exclusive names and receives worship, must be God. Notice: the logical structure (syllogism) and credible evidence (Scripture) establish the truth of each conclusion.
A Preacher & Parent’s Guide to Protecting the Next Generation169 Consider the trap for those who deny this: 1 Corinthians 8:6 “But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.” The verse clearly describes the one God as the Father and the one Lord as Jesus Christ. If Jesus is not the one God, then the Father is not the one Lord. The Necessary Answer: John 10:30 “I and my Father are one” One Being, Two persons Notes: 1. Although the Holy Spirit is not the subject of the above examples, the principle relates. Identify a characteristic that is unique to God, identify that unique characteristic with the Holy Spirit, and one necessarily concludes that the Holy Spirit is the third person of the one Being, God. See Acts 5:3,4; Mat. 28:19; 1Cor. 2:10, 11; John 16:13; Heb. 9:14. 2. Men, for purposes of the syllogism, is defined as a male of the human species born of a human father and human mother.
APPENDIX 4: EMOTIONAL PRINCIPLES OF REASONING INHERENT TO MAN BY JAMES A. HARRIS Emotions play a dual role in the human psyche. They are like fire which can grill you a steak or burn down your house. Emotional intelligence is a critical feature of human expression. Emotions, if channeled properly, can heighten our ability to reason and think well. What is referred to as “emotional intelligence” is a crucial and necessary component to critical thinking. The term “emotion” has been in use in the English language since the 17th century. It comes from the Latin “ex” (out) and “movere” (to move). Originally it meant “a public disturbance.” It was introduced into academic discussions as a catch-all term for passions, sentiments, or affections. When people engage in emotional reasoning, they get easily seduced or deceived by weak logic. They engage in “ad hominem” (person directed) attacks, or simply ignore evidence contrary to their beliefs, positions, or values. Emotional thinking that is unacquainted with reason, facts, or logic can be deadly. Emotions can be like dry gun powder waiting for a simple spark of closed-minded “logic”.
172 Country Preacher’s Almanac Everyone has a platform of emotions. They can be a wonderful seasoning in our lives. They can add spice and flavor to relationships. They can elevate our enjoyment of practically every aspect of life. They can make a person more appealing to be around. Emotions can motivate us to clear thinking. Emotions can also cloud our thinking. Philippians 4:6-8 gives the believer a framework in which to educate the emotions in order to be clear in our decision-making process. Verse eight is a laundry list of traits which must fund our thought life. Truth trains the emotions. Truth gives the emotional base of man guidelines and markers which should identify the field of our thoughts and subsequently our behaviors. 2 Timothy 4:5 instructs us to be “sober-minded.” 2 Timothy 1:7 tells us God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” So, the possibility of having a sound mind is provided by the Creator. In order for us to think rationally and intelligently, the emotions must be in harmony with Scripture. Moses is a good example of poor emotional thinking. He got angry at an Egyptian guard and murdered him. He ran for his life and stayed gone for 40 years. So, emotions can spill over the banks of reason and create devastating results. The mind must be reined in by the principles God has given us. The mind must surrender and submit to the truths of the Bible. This educates the emotions to recognize the deviation of propositions and statements from the truth and act accordingly. It also educates the emotions to recognize those propositions and statements which are in harmony with the truths of Scripture. God has designed a marvelous dashboard of emotions in the human psyche. Just like a car can overheat, emotions can overheat and create a severe problem. Truth is the spiritual, psychological, and emotional lubricant that keeps the mind of the believer running smoothly for the glory of God.
A Preacher & Parent’s Guide to Protecting the Next Generation173 (Editor’s note) The Power of God’s logic as reflected through Truth-Based Stories and Appeals to the Heart: Biblical appeals to the heart are always grounded in God’s propositional truth claims! Sean McDowell notes that of the Bible explanation and defense of the faith, only 30% is presented as propositional truth. (claims supported by overt logic and evidence); 70% is presented through narrative, metaphor, symbol, image, and poetry. (Sean McDowell, Apologetics For A New Generation) It is exciting to study Scripture and discover how the previous appendices are exemplified therein!
APPENDIX 5: ADDITIONAL RESOURCES FOR PART II Tactics, by Gregory Koukel, presents a slightly different approach from this book, but is easy reading and even more in-depth in the use of questions and biblically based tactics in engaging error. It is a great resource to accompany A Country Preacher’s Almanac. I Don’t Have Enough Faith to be an Atheist, by Norman Geisler, interweaves twelve fundamental propositions (claims), and by providing basis for accepting them takes one from the question of absolute truth to the necessary conclusion that the Bible is God’s inspired Word. Understanding the Times, by Jeff Myers and David A. Noebel, is the best single resource that I know that in a timely, documented presentation contrasts the worldview of Christianity with five other worldviews. How? By examining how these worldviews see the ten academic disciplines that shape society:Six Worldviews: Secularism Humanism, Marxism, Postmodernism, New Spirituality, and Islam. Ten Basic Disciplines that shape a society: Theology, Philosophy, Ethics, Biology, Psychology, Sociology, Law, Economics and History.Note: Our young people, even in grade school, are confronting these worldviews and are challenged to reject Christianity by attacking it through all ten of the basic disciplines.
176 Country Preacher’s Almanac The Historical Jesus: Ancient Evidence for the Life of Christ, by Gary Habermas, presents a superb documentation from secular as well as biblical sources. Evidence for the Historical Jesus, A 2015 update to The Historical Jesus by Habermas, is available for free as a Faculty Presentation Notes download: https://digitalcommons.liberty.edu/sod_fac_pubs/2 (cited 10/1/2021) Marks of a Worthy Mentor, by George G. Garner [me! that’s who!] is an in-depth comparison/contrast of the Christian World view with that of Secular Humanism, Religious Pluralism, and Postmodernism. Heavily documented and slow reading. Read the whole book and you will be a strong defender of the Christian Worldview! (The Baptist Sunday School Committee Bookstore, 1.800.264.2482 or 903.792.2783.)
