The meeting started at 1:50 p.m. led by all advisers. The adviser discussed the following agenda in the meeting: ·Work Immersion Update ·2nd Quarter Recognition/Award ·Card Viewing (1st Semester) ·1st Semester Recognition/Award (gym) ·DepEd Order No. 36, s. 2016 about the Policy Guidelines on awards and recognition for the K to 12 Basic Education Program.

Lumban Senior High School SCHOOL LEARNING ACTION CELL (SLAC) SESSION Date: March 24, 2023 SY 2022-2023 INTRODUCTION “Once a teacher… forever a learner…” this quotation is a constant reminder that teachers need continuous professional growth and development. Teachers learning should not stopped after earning a higher degree, much more, each of them constantly acquire knowledge and alongside with swift and sudden changes in the curriculum. In pursuant to Unnumbered School Memorandum, the office of the principal conducted a School Learning Action Cell (SLAC) Session on March 24, 2023 in LSHS Computer Room at 2:00 pm in the afternoon with the goal of Revisiting DepEd Order No.42,s.2016. HIGHLIGHTS Participants present to the LAC session were the following: 1.Dr. Juana T. Macalagay – School Head 2.Mrs. Virginia M. Nerpiol – Master Teacher II 3.Dr. Wandivienna B. Lumban Senior High School The Learning Action Cell (SLAC) Session was attended by the faculty members and the administrative assistant of Lumban Senior High School The SLAC session was scheduled on March 24,2023 at 2:00 pm but started around 2: 15 pm in the afternoon to give ample time for the preparation of the first resource speaker. The SLAC session was held in LSHS Computer Room for the convenience of the participants and the resource speakers. The following agendas were discussed during the SLAC session: 1.Session 1 Topic: Revisiting DepEd Order No.42,s.2016 Format/Template of MOVs for teachers 2.Session 2 Topic: Translating Learning Competencies into Objectives/Blooms Taxonomy 3.Session 3 Topic: Parts of DLL/DLP 4.Session 4 Topic: Reflection Parts of DLL/DLP Procedures on Technical Assistance ·First, the moderator of the SLAC Ms. Nidia N. Rana started the session with the nationalistic song followed by the opening prayer through an audio-visual presentation (AVP). The checking of attendance was facilitated by Mr. Jerwin S. Añonuevo, the participants must guess the title of the song through listening the lyrics. The School principal of Lumban Senior High School, Dr.Juana T. Macalagay, Principal II officially welcomed the participants and gave her opening remarks about the intention of the SLAC session. ·Then, the first resource speaker Mr. Lemuel B. Mendoza, started his presentation by differentiating DLL from DLP and reviewing some parts stated in DepEd Order No.42, s.2016.
Lumban Senior High School ·The second resource speaker, Mrs. Virginia M. Nerpiol tackled about Translating Learning Competencies into objectives/Blooms Taxonomy. She stated that objectives must be carefully planned (goal for every learner). She also added from the quotation from Brian Herbert that “The capacity to learn is a gift; the ability to learn is a skill; The willingness to learn is a choice”. ·The third discussant was Mrs. Wandivienna B. Garcia a Master Teacher II. She quoted that “A turtle makes progress when it sticks its neck out” from anonymous. It means that the learner grasps information by interpreting and translating what has been learned. ·The fourth and fifth discussant were Mrs. Kristine Anne V. Liboon Subject group head and Mr. Nico G. Osio a Master Teacher I of Lumban Senior High School. They discussed parts of DLL/DLP and the importance of reflection in making a DLL/DLP or in any lesson plan. ·Finally, we heard some impression/concerns from the participants about speakers’ topics. The school principal, Dr. Juana T. Macalagay addressed those concerns and made her statement clearly about the authenticity and uniformity of data when it regards to Remarks and Reflection part of the DLL/DLP. LESSON LEARNED I have learned from the LAC session that through the Daily Lesson Log (DLL) or Detailed Lesson Plan (DLP) provides teachers with an opportunity to reflect what learners need to learn, how learners learn, and how best to facilitate the learning process. ·
Lumban Senior High School ·In addition, these guidelines aim to empower teachers to carry out quality instruction that recognizes the diversity of learners inside classroom. WASTE FORWARD • Participants of the SLAC session were encouraged to answer the Learning Action Cell Evaluation Form about “Revisiting DepEd Order No.42, s.2016 • The result of the LAC evaluation attached below, showed the competency and mastery of the resource speakers towards their topic.

Arowwai Industries ANTI-DRUG CAMPAIGN SYMPOSIUM March 3 1, 2023 On March 31, 2023, at Lumban Senior High School, an Anti-Drug Campaign Symposium for Grade 11 students was successfully held under the supervision of Mr. Lemuel B. Mendoza and Barkda Kontra Droga (BKD) officers. The Anti-Drug Campaign Symposium started at exactly 1:00 in the afternoon. It started with nationalistic song through audio visual presentation. As the emcee, Ms. Nicole A. Dando, the President of BKD called for Ms. Micaila M. Ramirez, the Vice President of BKD to lead the prayer and to be followed by Mr. Lance Jeibert R. Añonuevo, the Secretary of BKD for the statement of purpose. After the statement of purpose, Mrs. Juana T. Macalagay is called to deliver the opening remarks. After the formal start of the event, Ms. Dando presented Police Major Ruffy L. Taduyo, Chief of Police at Lumban Municipal Police Station as the guest speaker.
After that, Mr. Taduyo presented his name and formally start his talk. There is a PowerPoint presentation and it contains the topics and issues discussed by Mr. Taduyo. There was also open forum or question and answer where some students and teachers asked questions that were answered by Mr. Taduyo. Next, Ms. Dando called one representative per section to listen to their learnings or takeaways from the symposium. When all of the representatives are called, the guest speakers, the two police patrols, the principal, Mr. Mercado the adviser of BKD and the BKD Officers are called for the distribution of certificates. As for the closing remarks, Ms. Dando introduced the Adviser of Barkada Kontra Droga, Mr. Lemuel B. Mendoza. To officially end the program, Mr. Marcus Kervee A. Añonuevo, the Peace Officer of BKD was called for the closing prayer. The symposium ended around 3:00 pm.
“Information and Education Campaign (IEC) on Solid Waste Management” An Information and Education Campaign (IEC) on Solid Waste Management in support to RA 9003 was conducted at Lumban Senior High on March 31, 2023, at the RGU hall. Student leaders gained an understanding of the value and importance of the 3 R's and effective solid waste management thanks to the initiative of CBK Power Company Limited and Lumban MENRO SWMO. The IEC started with a prayer song via an audio-visual presentation and an opening prayer led by Diane Grace M. Pillosis, SSG President, followed by the national anthem. After that, a short introduction about the IEC on Solid Waste Management was given by the host, Mr. Del Chrisjon B. Sogabo. He also introduced every staff member and the guest speaker, Mr. Efren Porcincula from Lumban MENRO SWMO. Consequently, Dr. Juana T. Macalagay, Principal of Lumban SHS, gave her welcoming remarks. She thanked the CBK Power Company Limited for sponsoring the IEC as well as the Lumban MENRO. Afterward, Ms. Maricris-Ann A. Himoc delivered a meaningful message. She talked about how CBK not only gives financial support but also gives information when they are helping. She also emphasized that the student leaders who attended the IEC will be the ones to disseminate the information and learnings that they will get from the seminar to their classmates and schoolmates. Then, the floor was given to the guest speaker, Mr. Efren Porcincula. He discussed what is Republic Act 9003 otherwise known as the Ecological Solid Waste Management Act of 2000. He also tackled the four types of waste and where and how to properly dispose of them.
He taught how to appropriately segregate biodegradable waste and non-biodegradable waste and how to discard medical and toxic waste. He gave examples of each type of waste and gave important reminders on what to do about it. Lastly, he also discussed the importance of the three Rs—reduce, reuse, and recycle and the importance of proper solid waste management. Following the fruitful discussion with Mr. Porcincula, there was an open forum in which students raised their questions and concerns about solid waste management issues in their barangay or location. Mr. Porcincula answered them, and he also gave advice that can help solve the problem. The CBK Power Company Limited also donated three drums as trash bins. The seminar ended with the closing remarks of Mr. Lemuel B. Mendoza. The IEC is truly a meaningful and helpful activity that is beneficial to the students, to the school, and to the community. Through the sponsorship and initiative of CBK Power Company Limited and Lumban MENRO SWMO to conduct an IEC on Solid Waste Management, the students, staff, and faculty of Lumban Senior High School learned a lot from the seminar and will surely apply their learnings for the betterment of the school and the environment.
