Creating Your Action Plan A key part of building self-esteem is setting achievable goals and then achieving them. If you constantly set outlandish goals, you will fail, and it will chip away at any self-esteem that you do have. You don’t have to be a perfectionist to have high self-esteem. Don’t be afraid of a bit of self- exploration, it’s what will help you recognize what you want from life. We are constantly changing, which means our desires will change, too. Start this process after you have completed the above steps of the workbook. Now that you have completed the exercises provided and learned more about self-esteem, it’s time to create an action plan. Your action plan should be realistic, and it should be achievable, so set goals for the next week, for two weeks, a month, and for longer. You can revisit your plan as you progress. Most importantly, make sure that you celebrate every success. It doesn’t matter how you choose to do it, just make sure that you mark each achievement as you complete it.
