How might we design an organisational level AI powered tool which can prioritise personal and work commitments; it gives prompts for time estimation for the tasks be performed on a day-to-day basis for Radhika and other employees, that mitigates her current issue of work-life imbalance, so that she can find more time in her daily routine for physical & mental well-being, and improves/enhances Radhika’s Experience of/in finding more time to invest towards her desire of spending more time in bonding with her family.
AI Powered Organisation tool to maintain Work-Life balance and encourage healthy lifestyle choices. Virtual Personal Assistant to sort Radhika’s day and find her ME TIME. System Operated Smart Planner Routine Tracker Enabled Dashboard to accommodate tasks based on priority. Alerts & Prompts to take breaks to break sedentary lifestyle habits. Robust Rewards System that encourages regular work-life balance & healthy lifestyle.
Things SORTED will do: 1. Help Radhika maintain work-life balance. 2. Sort Radhika’s day to help her find spare time in her daily routine. 3. Enable her to spend more time on her physical and mental well-being. 4. Rewards system to boost productivity during working hours so that she is able to spend more time to bond with her family. 5. Enable her to earn long-weekend leaves so that she has more time to devote towards her desires.
User Interviews We Learnt Empathy by conducting User Interviews. A detailed questionnaire was prepared and SL1 members interviewed a number of people. We learnt about their preferences and gained the necessary information, later analysed the data, concluding that most of the people belonged to Age group of 30-50 and struggled with Work Life Balance lacking a sedentary lifestyle. The work from home system has made it difficult for people to draw a line between person and professional life resulting into an Unhealthy Lifestyle and issues like Weight Gain. The study showed that while all this were problems related to once health it Affected the Work through lack of proper time management along with concentration and discipline
Key Insights Helped us understand the problem better 1. Tech needs are put foremost than physical health. Our community lacks fitness friendly environments to inculcate the importance of staying healthy. 2. FITNESS = WEIGHT. People’s perception needs to change to prioritise fitness. This can be achieved by balancing a routine. 3. People need help in attaining WORK-LIFE balance to be able to focus on their well being. 4. Most people weren’t taking enough breaks at work and are glued to one place all day which leads to sedentary lifestyle.
Actions Key insights opened the direction we needed to build our product. We were still not sure what the product would be but we were now sure what problem we are trying to solve. 1. Poor Time management proves to be one of the major contributors to Sedentary lifestyle 2. Not having a fitness friendly environment and culture in the community or organization was contributing to sedentary lifestyle as much as low self motivation did. 3. Putting fitness and health on second priority seemed like a common and unnoticed problem. Most people don’t have a dedicated time towards well being.
Empathy Map Helped us gain an understanding of her thoughts, feelings & insecurities. Get perspective on her needs & desires. This benefitted us in working out what problems should our product solve for her to be happy and content in her day to day life. The biggest insight derived was that she needs ME TIME to devote towards her desires, away from her duties. Brainstorming, Sketching & Storyboarding This was the most important milestone in our journey to help Radhika. The product should focus on: 1. Maintaining work-life balance 2. Find time to invest towards her physical well being.
Mock-ups Survival of the fittest: After the mock-ups, elimination and improvisation became much simpler. This basic structure was quick & easy to reshape so that usability is ensured before further design and development efforts take place.

Wireframes Based on the research conducted earlier, several pain points were identified and tested to understand the flow & navigation of different touch points.
Revisiting the process Even after making the wireframes we still sensed that we were missing something and we revisited our process right from the interview questions to our actions to our how might we statement and found that one key factor.
Productive Leave- Earning a Long Weekend for Productivity Reverse Productivity Timer 1. Everybody has fixed working hours + Productivity credit limit 2. If Radhika (& the likes) work beyond the working hours on any day their negative marking starts. 3. Incase they are working late for a crucial project then they need to get an approval for their manager 4. At the end of the month if they have enough credit i.e. they have not worked beyond working hours and completed all tasks - they can use the credit minutes for a long weekend Monthly top-up - 12 hours If your balance is 8 hours + then you can avail 1 Fri/Mon to gain a long weekend. If your balance is (4 hours - 8 hours) you can avail Half Day.
Final Design + XD Prototype The visual design of the app is made clean and pleasing for the users. It not only helps workflow become more efficient, but also establish principles for the application which ultimately will enhance user experience.
