Collectivism Collectivism is a political theory associated with socialism and communism. It is the idea that people should prioritize the society and people around them over themselves as an individual. Collectivism is the opposite of individualism. Communism The Concept of Communism is that everyone in a given society should be equal. This means that all roles should be erased (No Low, Middle and Upper class). This also means that everyone should make equal pay no matter what job they have acquired over the years.

Why Communism Evolved Communism in Russia started when Karl Marx had written the Communist Manifesto. Communism was supposed to be a classless and civil society, but with corrupt leaders and propaganda communism later evolved into a unlivable society with a power hungry leader. This lead to the population of the Soviet Union with little to no food and terrible living conditions.

Joseph Stalin Joseph Stalin was leader of the Soviet Union from 1922 until 1953 when he had died. Stalin was a very power hungry leader with a goal to surpass the western world in the industrial revolution. While doing this he starved his people and killed all of his competition.

Communism Lives Today Cuba is still a communist country. Cuba's communist party was founded by Fidel Castro. Cuba is now ran by Miguel Diaz-Canal.

Utopian Socialism Utopian Socialism was a Ideology that kept the society moving forward in a certain direction. This Ideology is based off of Marxism. Utopian Socialism crashed overtime and failed. “Our ulterior aim is nothing less than Heaven on Earth. ” - An American Utopian Socialist in 1844

Robert Owen Robert Owen was the leader and founder of utopian socialism. He saw that the workers had hard lives, so Owen thought that people would work more efficiently and harder if they were happier. He gave his workers less hours and better living conditions.



Democratic Socialism Democratic Socialism is an ideology that still supports political democracy within a socalist owned economy. Examples of democratic socialism include, Brazil, Peru, and Turkey.

Democratic Socialism to the People With Democratic Socialism you get all the benefits of socialism while not having a dictatorship. Democratic Socialism makes it so there is not a profit society.

Liberalism A liberalist society is very moderate on the spectrum. This ideology promotes Individual rights, Civil Liberties, Democracy and Free Enterprise.

Modern Liberalism The concept of Modern Liberalism is to combine the ideas of Civil Liberties and equality with support from local justice and a mixed economy.

Mixed Economy A mixed economy is an economy with some free market elements mixed with some socialistic elements. Mixed economies will usually fall into a liberalist democratic country.

Conservatism Conservatism is an ideology that values traditional views. This means Conservatism favours free enterprise, private ownership and socially traditional ideas. Conservatism evolved throughout the states in 1930 because politicians sided with businessmen to oppose liberalism.

Capitalism Capitalism is an economic system that lets individuals own all the businesses. This makes all the businesses privately owned, made for profit for the individual instead of state owned businesses that are for government profit. Capitalism makes taxes lower for everyone, but you have to pay for everything yourself unless your workplace has good benefits.

Stephen Harper Stephen Harper is a former Canadain conservative Prime Minister. Harper was in office from 2006 - 2015. While he was in office he accomplished to lower income taxes, corporate taxes and gst.



Fascism Fascism is a far right ideology run by a dictator. The basic idea of Facism is there is strength in unity. Nationalism serves a way to bind the people together, encouraging people to all move in one direction.

Adolf Hitler Hitler was a german fascist leader from 1933 - 1945 when he committed suicide by gunshot. Hitler made germany into a military based institute in his time. He also believed the arian race was the only “perfect” race.
