LabDriver Tecan analyser setup LabDriver Tecan analyser setupThe Tecan analyser does not send any test codes with the data. This requires a different setup toimport the data. The setup steps are a one off process. After the setup is complete individual lab nosor all the lab numbers (bulk import) can be imported. The first step is to import the analysersLabDriver menu – analysers, analyser serial - Import the analysersThere should now be an analyser called TecanAnalyser group – create a group called Tecan with group type Test codesPage 1 of 11
LabDriver Tecan analyser setupThe Group types are Sample type, Operator List and Test codes. The Tecan group type should beTest CodesIn the Test code tab select Import / refresh test code translationsA message should appear saying that the Test code Translations have been updatedThe test codes (Parameter) will initially be set to <None> under the linked to test.Page 2 of 11
LabDriver Tecan analyser setupSelect the Tecan parameter eg Absorbance-mean then select <Prompt for Test Code>It should appear as belowAdd the additional test translations you require (eg the SD – Standard Deviation). In this example wewill just be importing the mean values. The mean value is calculated from running the test twice. The same Testcodes are visible under Libraries, Test Codes.Sort the data by analyser and search for the Tecan codesPage 3 of 11
LabDriver Tecan analyser setupClick Edit to display the values – they cannot be edited from this screen.Note – only the top three fields should be filled out – the Parameter, Analyser and Link to TestThe Test Name, Short Name Loinc Code and Your ID should be blank as these are variable factorsWe can also import the reagents for this analyser – this will not affect the translation or the importof the dataPage 4 of 11
LabDriver Tecan analyser setupThis screen allows us to link Reagents to the analysersGo back to Analyser serial; select the Tecan and the click EditFrom the Testcode group select TecanClick the check box Test Code Translation via Container IDDo not select the Automated ImportPage 5 of 11
LabDriver Tecan analyser setupThere should be a tab ContainerID > Test Code. This tab automatically appears when you click thecheck box Test Code Translation via Container IDYou should see a list of the ContainerID (ELISA No) and the tests they are linked toClick the new buttonPage 6 of 11
LabDriver Tecan analyser setupEnter the ContainerID and the test that it is linked toWe can now import the results. We can either do this from the individual lab no or from the bulkimportPage 7 of 11
LabDriver Tecan analyser setupRemember that we selected prompt for test code – this means that each Elisa plate of 76 samplesthat are matched to a test code.(On a samples plate stock, there are 76 samples. No controls or blanks. Therefore there are 76 samples and 20 empty wells. 1 samples stock plate will therefore result in e 2set of sample (ELISA) plates being produced)(On a Elisa plate, you have, 38 samples in duplicate, 9 controls in duplicate and 1 blank induplicated.)The LabComm software will merge the data in these two sample / Elisa plates together. This can either be done in real time (ie import in bulk and then allocate the test codes to each plate)or it can be done in advance as we have just shownPage 8 of 11
LabDriver Tecan analyser setupThis tab will give us the view of the (ELISA) Testcode plate translations that have already beenperformed. There may be error messages indication lab Nos that have not imported been imported. This usuallymeans that they have not been booked in.This list of “Unable to fine Lab No” will increase as time goes on. They have to be marked asimported – otherwise there will be an attempt to import them on every import cycle – which willslow the process down. Results – Analyser results – scroll to the RHS to look for the imported statusPage 9 of 11
LabDriver Tecan analyser setupSelect the lab no – select the skip import button. The Status should change to SkippedYou view the data but see that the status is “Analysed”Page 10 of 11
LabDriver Tecan analyser setupThe status can be automatically set using the auto validation option.Set this to Yes – if you want the status to change to validated, when the result is within the referencerange. The audit trail will display the logged in UserID – the Import User setting is only for the fullyautomated import.A subsequent import will automatically display status as validated – if there are no reference rangesor the test result is between the ranges.V 3 - 18 April 2015Page 11 of 11
