100 Madhu Bahl - Autobiography Author of Biology Books In March 2017, I decided to go for knee replacement as I found some difficulty climbing stairs, traveling, and going for a walk. I went to Fortis Hospital and showed my knee X-rays to Dr. Harsimran, a renowned Knee specialist. He advised me to go for knee replacement for both knees. I am a very pain-sensitive person, but Mrs. Sweety Bahl and Mrs. Reema Dewan built up my morale and encouraged me as both had undergone knee surgery themselves. I finally met Dr. Harsimran and fixed up my surgery date on 12th March in the morning's early hours. I got an executive family suite booked for myself and got myself admitted to the hospital, along with my moral supporters. My adopted daughter Priyanka, Nisha, my Assistant, and Mrs. Sweety Bahl went with me to the hospital. The next day at 5.30 a.m., the nurse came to take me to the operation theatre. I was terrified. The doctor gave me anesthesia, and I fell unconscious. I remember that when I was in the recovery room, Dr. Harsimran told me, \"Madam, both your knees have been operated on successfully.\" Now we are shifting you to the intensive care unit. I was under the influence of anesthesia and had to stay in ICU for three to four days and was attended to very efficiently by nurses and doctors. I was shifted to my room, and everyone gave me full support, but sometimes I used to get scared also. After 12 days

She started working as a caretaker, and we also engaged the physiotherapists to help me do knee exercises. 109 Promotion of Roller Skating In 1995, we started constructing International Level Skating Rink, as I had a great passion for skating. The rink was a Roller Hockey Skating rink. As I finished the construction of the skating rink, a Team from England visited our school. India played friendly matches with England. I was the first one to promote skating in Chandigarh. Several inter- national games were played at KBDAV Skating Rinks. Skating was not in the CBSE Calendar till then. I developed a harmonious relationship with Director CBSE and Mr. Vohra, and they added skating in the Calendar of CBSE. The First CBSE Roller Skating National was held at KBDAV. Every year I got a chance to visit other countries as a “Roller Hockey Chairperson.” I visited several countries for International matches.
