Jersey Boys began in the early 2000s as an idea from original Actor (for John Lloyd Young, who played Frankie Valli), Best Four Seasons band member Bob Gaudio, who sought to make a Featured Actor (for Christian Hoff, who played Tommy DeVito), musical from the discography of the band.
