Chris White All of us – audience, committee, cast, crew, production For the Direction Team team, front of house and all our volunteers – are beginning a new chapter in the life of CLOC Musical Theatre, starting tonight with our performance of Dusty, fittingly a premiere production for our new location. Co-written by CLOC’s Patron, John-Michael Howson OAM, who previously wrote SHOUT! (so successfully mounted by CLOC in 2007), Dusty provides a wonderful opportunity to showcase what CLOC does so well – gather the highest standard of talent onstage, support them with a first class production team, a professional and superlative crew par excellence, and back them up with a loyal and dedicated group of backstage, front of house and administrative volunteers. So sit back and enjoy, sing and hum along with the nearly 30 familiar and well loved songs which you are about to hear, clap, tap your feet and if that is not enough, feel free to get up and dance in the aisles. We feel sure by the end of the mighty megamix that closes the show, you will not be able to restrain yourselves from doing just that. And why not? Jodie Symes Dusty Jodie has been a triple threat performer – acting, singing and dancing - since her school days, when she performed lead roles in her high school musicals and completed VCE Drama. She spent 10 years studying dance (jazz, tap and classical) and has also studied acting and singing for many years. Over the last fifteen years, Jodie has performed with many of Melbourne’s theatre companies in shows such as Cabaret (Kit Kat Girl) and Thoroughly Modern Millie (Priscilla Girl-both with PLOS), Anything Goes (Angel-NOVA), Guys & Dolls (Mimi-Babirra), Gigi (dancer) and How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying (Miss Krumholz-both with MLOC).
