Drawing mechanism: Drawing mechanism and following prints.

Drawing Mechanism: sequential studies made in response to drawing mech- anism prints.

30 Work drawings: Pictures taken that went on to inform work drawings.

30 Work drawings: Mono prints made in response to photos.

30 Work drawings: Pencil and pen work drawings focusing on line.

Zine: The layout of my 4 page zine consisting of a mix of my own work and work from my peers.

Capital (making): The University of Bristol building (left) and card- board model i made in response (right).

Capital (Class/Taste): Two still life portraits i set up signifying high capital. This was made in response to 17th century dutch still life which explored wealth, excess and the imperminence of a materialistic life.

Capital (Digital): A triptych of animated GIFs i made in response to signage i found in a area of low capital.

Creating Capital: Two initial mock up designs i made on a 3D design soft- ware (left) and the final red and white colour schemed final design (right)

Statement: As the prison system fails time and time again to improve falling food standards, a new currency has been adopted by those living in these flawed institutions. Ramen Noodles. These noodles, known to the prisoners as ‘soups’ are val- ued to the highest level. Not for their price, but for their functionality. Soups have a long shelf life and are a tasty luxury in a world of small, bland meals. It’s safe to say in a society where capitalism has collapsed and currency as we know it has changed that we too might trade in similarly functional items.

Workshop Briefs: Vector drawing of my draw- ing mechanism (left) and mini me project of 3 differ- ent icons at three different sizes (right).
