I, GOD, SAD. God sits alone in her house, looking down at the earth. She sees the capitalism that has taken over, and she is sad. She sees the pandas, and the grand canyon, and the fire, and she is filled with sadness and love. She sees the beauty of the world, and she is filled with wonder. She loves the world, and she mourns the destruction that has been wrought. She is sad and happy, and she is grateful for all that she has seen. DEREK WALCOTT PAGE FIVE | JOURNEY
