The Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy youris specialhonored to planday. Celebrate your momentous occasion in Pittsburgh’s parks and create meaningful and lasting memories with beautiful, unique, and scenic venues with nature as your backdrop. With various locations, we will help transform your favorite park spaces into the wedding of your dreams! The Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy has three main rental spaces available: SCHENLEY PARK VISITORS CENTER FRICK ENVIRONMENTAL CENTER SCHENLEY PLAZA Each location offers accommodations for ceremonies and receptions. Additionally, there are frequently requested ceremony locations in parks across the city. For the areas outside our rental sites noted above, the Parks Conservancy can guide you on requesting a Special Event Permit through the City of Pittsburgh. We are also happy to help share beneficial information and resources on maximizing your experience.

SCHENLEY PARK VISITORS CENTER The Schenley Park Visitors Center, tucked on the edge of Schenley Park, features bright light and original details that make for an intimate celebration space. With the tented outdoor space space and overlook back patio, your guests will enjoy the perfect balance of charming character while in a natural surrounding. The Visitors Center features exposed brick, Victorian windows, and round alcoves that make for a cottage dream. Enjoy the cobblestone road on one side and the Cathedral of Learning in the distance, for a park-meets-urban setting. Your guests will enjoy the evening breeze while dancing the night away in the tent!

Wedding Packages CEREMONY ONLY Up to 2 Hours | $750 Host your ceremony in our Schenley Park Visitors Center or outside adjacent areas overlooking Schenley Park. Capacity varies depending on location. Visitors Center can accommodate up to 150 guests outside. Includes private room for wedding party. RECEPTION ONLY Up to 6 Hours | $1,750 Our full reception space includes Schenley Park Visitors Center and outside tent, able to accommodate up to 120 guests seated or 150 guests standing. Enjoy happy hour inside the high ceiling, enchanting Visitors Center while you make your way to our tent for dinner, dancing and more. Includes private room for wedding party. CEREMONY & RECEPTION Up to 8 Hours | $2,000 Host your ceremony in our Schenley Park Visitors Center or outside adjacent areas overlooking Schenley Park. Invite your guests to enjoy happy hour on the back patio or inside the Visitors Center. At the same time, your vendor team works to transform the outside tent into a magical, picturesque affair. The package includes a private room for the wedding party and a venue coordinator to help perfect your one-of-a-kind day! All events have access to public restrooms. Tables and chairs are available for Visitors Center rentals. Additional event equipment can be provided upon request. All seating for tent must be rented.

FRICK ENVIRONMENTAL CENTER Whether you are looking for a picturesque park to host your wedding ceremony, or a unique, eco-friendly reception venue, the Frick Environmental Center (FEC) provides a one-of-a-kind space perfect for your important day. Our ceremony spaces compliment your vision of green and natural surroundings. Choose to host your ceremony in our scenic Amphitheater space, with built-in amenities, or make it a grand entrance past the original Gatehouse down the allay to say your vows in front of the main fountain.

Wedding Packages CEREMONY ONLY Up to 2 Hours | $850 Ceremony at the fountain or amphitheatre for up to 150 guests. Includes gatehouse for bridal party. Make your way over to the overlook deck, travel into the trails, or gather around the original gatehouse for photography before or after your ceremony. Fountain geyser may be added. 30 Minutes | $500 CEREMONY & RECEPTION Up to 8 Hours | $5,000 A ceremony and reception at the FEC create a magical and memorable experience all in one place. This spacious and modern venue features distinctive architectural and environmentally- conscience elements that have certified the facility as a Living Building. You will find organic details in every corner of this unique space, from the stunning wood panels to the one-of-a-kind structures; your guests will enjoy a fulfilling experience in the heart of nature. Wedding ceremony at the fountain or amphitheater. Includes gatehouse for bridal party. Reception inside the main floor of FEC. Includes art gallery, indoor classroom space, outdoor patio and balcony, and living room. All indoor spaces feature full length windows overlooking Frick Park. Accommodates 75 guests seated or 120 standing. This package includes a private room for the wedding party and a venue coordinator to help perfect your one-of-a-kind day!

SCHENLEY PLAZA Schenley Plaza is a vibrant and iconic venue in the heart of Oakland. With a great location and proximity to well-known landmarks, such as the University of Pittsburgh, Carnegie Library, Carnegie Museums, Carnegie Mellon University (and so many more), Schenley Plaza will make for the perfect atmosphere that adds to your experience. The plaza features a variety of ceremony spaces. The tree-lined corridor outside Carnegie Library fondly referred to as the “Bosque”, and the beautiful “Emerald Lawn,” Both can accommodate up to 250 guests, as well as unique décor and amenities to add that special touch. Head over to the Mary Schenley Fountain for wedding pictures or let your guests ride on the PNC Carousel while you make your way to the oval tent to start your reception. The eye-catching oval tent features a vaulted ceiling and open concept design, which you can transform into your dream venue.

SPECIAL EVENT PERMIT LOCATIONS Pittsburgh’s parks offer a variety of one-of-a-kind wedding ceremony locations. These public spaces require a Special Events Permit obtained through the City of Pittsburgh to reserve the park spaces. The Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy is happy to SPECIAL EVENTS PERMIT assist with sharing resources for you to be able Department of Public Works: to maximize your wedding experience. pittsburghpa.gov/events Mellon Park Walled Garden Originally built in 1920 as part of the Mellon Estate, Mellon Park Walled Garden still features original pieces to this day, including the fountain. The hilltop spot in Mellon Park is a popular ceremony destination, able to accommodate up to 75 guests. It’s romantic details and built-in character make it a perfect location for your wedding ceremony. Highland Park The impressive entrance to the Victorian-style garden and gathering space make Highland Park a unique venue for your upcoming ceremony. From the fountain and reflecting pool to the abundance of colorful flowers, Highland Park creates a hidden sanctuary in an urban setting. Allegheny Commons (Northside) Located on Pittsburgh’s Northside, Allegheny Commons Park provides one of the best views of Downtown’s high rise buildings. The picturesque bridge over the reflection pond can be found featured in many engagement and wedding photographs. With the ginko trees bordering the park, your spring or fall wedding aesthetic is complete without effort. Emerald View Park (Mt. Washington) The Grandview Scenic Byway holds true to its name. One of the most iconic views of Pittsburgh, Emerald View Park does not disappoint and is a classic destination for wedding ceremonies. Frick Park Bowling Green The Reynolds Street entrance has gained its notoriety courtesy of its original, 70-year-old gatehouse. A staple to the area, it signifies a shining beacon of history for all those who enter into Frick Park. Located across from The Frick Museum, it’s a hidden gem for ceremonies. Westinghouse Memorial & Pond (Schenley Park) The dense wooded backdrop and tropical water lilies make for a special, secluded wedding ceremony at the often overlooked Westinghouse Memorial in Schenley Park in Oakland. The lush garden and canopy trees creates a hidden spot made for nature lovers.
