A MESSAGE FROM OUR CHAIRMAN Thanks to the continued support of our donors, advisory clubs, and partners,The First Tee of Greater Baltimore celebrated a milestone year in 2015. It is with excitement that I share with you the many accomplishments our teamachieved this year that led to our chapter being designated an “ACE” chapter, the highest possible ranking within The FirstTee Network. Utilizing the game of golf as our platform,The First Tee of Greater Baltimore continues to impact, influence,and inspire young people through developmental programs that teach core values and life skills.With your support, we will continue to expand our reach and work in helping young people thrive socially, academically, and athletically through the game of golf. I invite you to review this publication, which is a testament to the dedication of our team members, volunteers, and program partners, all of which are wholeheartedly committed to the mission and focus of The First Tee. PROGRAMS The First Tee of Greater Baltimore offers programming and educational classes at 5 Green Grass locations.These locations include: Forest Park Golf Course, Clifton Park Golf Course, Carroll Park Golf Course, Mount Pleasant Golf Course, and Pine Ridge Golf Course. There is year-round programming at these locations to optimize the ability to reach and impact as many children within Greater Baltimore.The First Tee National School Program (NSP) introduces the game of golf,The First Tee NineCore Values, and Nine Healthy Habits to elementary school students during their PhysicalEducation classes.The National School Program creates an environment where young people are introducedto the lifelong sport, while learning the basic golf motor skills and the inherent values of thegame.The First Tee DRIVE program is an introduction to the game of golf and The First Tee life skillsat after school environments such as the YMCA and Boys and Girls Club. It is a set of 18 golfactivity plans designed to provide a fun, engaging program which introduces kids to golf andexposes them to the behaviors associated with The First Tee’s Nine Core Values.The First Tee DRIVE program is the perfect activity for young people as it Develops,Rewarding, Inspiring Values, for Everyone.

The local Girls Golf program focuses on inspiring girls to feel confident, build positive self-esteem, and live active and healthy lifestyles.The curriculum incorporates the “Five E’s of Girls Golf”: energize, engage, empower, enrich, and exercise. LPGA-USGA Girls Golf prepares female junior golfers for a lifetime of enjoyment of the game. The program provides a solid foundation for girls who want to play for fun with friends and family, to compete at the high school/state levels, or to learn for future career purposes.The program involves classes, lessons by local instructors, national tournaments, and also field trips. FITNESS Our winter programming helps students stay active, fit, and promote The First Tee NineNUTRITION Healthy Habits: energy, play, safety, mind, vision, family, friends, school, and community. The First Tee of Greater Baltimore partners with PerformFit Sports Experience to ensure our students live a healthy lifestyle year-round. Students attend fitness classes twice a week with a trained fitness professional.Military The First Tee of Greater Baltimore offers character education and life skills training toProgram children of military and civilian personnel at Aberdeen Proving Grounds. This Department of Defense program at Aberdeen Proving Grounds for military families allows the children to build a connection between the game of golf and life.
