Description: Picture Stories is an initiative of the Semester 03 students of Department of Journalism and Mass Communication under the curatorship of Kalyan Srinivas Raygalla, Assistant Professor.

This initiative is a platform to showcase the student work of photography and story writing/ photo description. The work displayed in this edition is part of the activity based learning of technical aspects of Photography and Writing.

The students were given a timeline of 45 minutes to compose a photograph and write a story based on the photo they composed. This not only helps in handling timelines and pressure, but also drives out the creativity among students.

We at MRIIRS, Department of Journalism and Mass Communication strive to give opportunities and platforms to our students to showcase their work and this is a reflection of our little initiative.

Picture Stories An Initiative of the Department of Journalism & Mass Communication Manav Rachna International Institute of Research Studies

Picture Stories is an initiative of the Semester 03 students of Department of Journalism and Mass Communication under the curatorship of Kalyan Srinivas Raygalla, Assistant Professor. This initiative is a platform to showcase the student work of photography and story writing/ photo description. Samara Kalhans Dev is a shy boy and Shambhavi is bright, cheerful and vibrant girl. Dev is extremely fond of Shambhavi and he’d do anything for her to even notice him. Every day he’d come to class in hopes that today will be the day she sees him, she notices him. It’s been 3 semesters and not once had she acknowledged him. He sits looking at her affectionately and with hope shining in his eyes, visible to everyone except the one person it’s intended for.

Dhruv Mehta There was a boy named Raja Sekhar in a private college in Faridabad . He was studying in 2 year of BJMC. It was the year 2020. Chandra's new Class Teacher was Deepak Yadav. Students knew that he was quite a frank person and always wanted discipline and orderliness in class. Now, comes the introduction of the Class Teacher. Apart from being the Class Teacher, he was the reporter for the BJMC Section. Even thought most of the class- mates had different opinions to be shared, all wanted to be in wait and watch mode. And Deepak Yadav also had the same thoughts. He just understood that if no mistake is done from his side, why will Teacher even scold. It was an adolescent period. He only knew one aspect. That he has to listen attentively to his teacher because it was an important stage apart from Examination.

It was just another random day in college before the sessionals which were Maulii Kulsreshtha about to start from next week. All students were busy in clearing all their doubts from the assigned subject teacher. All the students were gathered along with the teacher, and all of their doubts were being answered by the professor. Later that day when the college got over all of the students were familiar with the concepts and were prepared to give the exams.

Divinity personofied. Bhavya Nagpal Looking at this pic gives a feeling of peace and calmness. In front of him I forget all my problems and get indulged in divinity. I feel lost, and when I look at him, I somehow find my way. I guess deep down, it is a belief that matters, and investing myself in him, always helped me.

Kareena Madaan This is the student corner of Department of JMC ,students post their creative work here as well as things which happen in the college like some fest or some competition or some important information about your curriculum activities. Students are allowed to post their facts as well as some thing's like donation camps which are going to be set up in College will be there too. The goals of student corner creating a positive social atmosphere on campus, pursuing good relationships with other groups on campus, constantly improving our programs to meet the needs of a diverse student body, and working together in a spirit of shared responsibility.

Niyati Aggarwal Dr O P Bhalla, a visionary. Although Dr O P Bhalla is no longer with us, his rich heritage is an enduring testament to excellence at work; the scent of which continues to inspire us.

Rahul Gambhir This is just serene, this scenic beauty is something I keep looking at and feel lost . This is our wonderful campus offering quality education along with fresh and natural oxygen to all of us.

Dev Sharma Dev hurried into the college building, shoving and pushing everyone in his way. He aimed to reach the first floor and be the first one to touch gods feet. Today is his first sessional and Dev had studied a total of 2 minuted, conclusive of reading the datesheet and syllabus sheet. He knew god was the only one who could help him. This whole scene somewhat comical ended with him failing the sessional and God not helping him.
