Production Arts &STAGE MANAGEMENTThis highly practical course is designed to give you the experiencerequired to enter the industry in a variety of roles including technicaltheatre (lighting, sound and AV) and production arts (stage andevent management, set design and prop design). THEATRical hair& media make-upIf you want a career in theatre, fashion or film and have a passionfor make-up then this course could be for you. This exciting coursecovers the requirements for the application of specialised make-uptechniques from bald caps to beauty, and the requirements of hairstyling from synthetic hair to postiche application. It is a highlypractical course with a high level of theory as well.You will document your practical skills andtheory into a sketchbook and develop a widerange of professionally photographed imageryto create your hair and make-up portfolio. Youwill work closely with the theatre students,working on live performances in our collegetheatre. You will be required to design andimplement your designs for performance,solidifying your skills and gaining you agreat knowledge of how the theatre industryoperates. You will also work closely with hairand beauty to support your theoretical andpractical skills for a wide range of clients.
You will have ample opportunity for work experience as this ismandatory for your course. She studied at Southampton Solent University, achieving a First Class Honours Degree in Make-Up and Hair Design. She is a qualified hairdresser and has worked freelance in bridal, fashion, film and theatre. Over the years Georgia has gained a wealth of experience in the industry, working as a professional hair and make-up artist at Grange Park Opera House, on the Sound of Music UK Tour, plus the UK and European tour of Evita.
