SUSWAGATAM Editorial Preface ‘Atithi Devo Bhava’, is not just a concept, but an emotion that is so deep-rooted in Indic cultures that even in the grimmest situations we strive by these philosophies of hospitality. As a Rotaract club and as individuals committed to the service of humanity, we feel quite sublime to introduce our readers to the values and purposes we aim to establish in the world via this bulletin. It has been a long tradition in India to treat everyone with compassion and respect. In resemblance to this, we as young Rotaractors live and survive on these beliefs. It is a big part of our conscience to not only treat everyone with compassion but also promote fraternity and harmony in the greater society. Considering this emotion as a highlight of a greater institutional belief that is aimed at truly realizing the dream of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ meaning ‘Considering The whole world as our Family’, we come forward with this bulletin. When we look back at our club’s and the Rotaract institution’s journey towards prominence, we realize that more than any other factor, it was the overflowing feelings of empathy and a strong will to deliver the change where situations seemed too burdensome, that majorly resulted in us achieving unimaginable milestones. There were many instances in our journey where we were pushed to the cliff, but it was our unrelenting determination and perseverance that led us to where we are today. And the most pre-eminent support to this factor was the collective courage of our ‘Rotaract Family’. It was through their early sacrifices and toils that today we call ourselves to work even more effectively towards a better future of the world. Often we seem to take these notions for granted but what’s important is to understand our origins and realize that even today we are structures built on the same noble foundation. The brotherhood that we experience in our institution and among our own club’s members is also a result of a strong foundational belief of collective empathetic conscience. To pay homage to our club’s beliefs, virtues, and most importantly to the pillars of strength of our club i.e., our humble members, we have sought to give all our readers a ‘Parichay’ of our club. We hope that through our ‘Parichay’ we would instill the same fire in our readers that was lit in us to serve a greater purpose of humanity. We believe that by coming together as a truly conscience-driven community we can achieve far more harmony than we can conceive of. After all, the purposes that aim at the common good for all, need to be highlighted, and collectively we can leave no stone unturned! So let’s join our hands, wish each other ‘Suswagatam’, and charge forward towards realizing our common dream of a world brimming with love and compassion! Rotaract Club Of TCET 01
PRERNA Motivation We believe that, after an inspiring journey through the last 5 years, we as a club have reached a pedestal, where we could take a moment to look back and be inspired again with our own stories and form a legacy to further inspire all of our witnesses. We have always believed that the source of our indomitable strength and perseverance is the bond that we share among all our members and the harmony that we foster within our institution. It is this harmony that leads us to imagine ourselves as part of one singular family which nurtures its members and branches out to be of service to the community. It is this virtue of mutual acceptance and respect for one another that makes us believe that we are part of an inseparable covenant committed to creating a better future community. When we perceive each other as our own kith and kin, we can never think ill of them. A purpose of self-sacrifice and care for one another is experienced and practiced in such an organization. When such a cordial atmosphere is created, ideas of mutual harmony, peace, selfless service, and communal upliftment can be thought of and implemented with much success. The basic notion for all of this is the mutual trust that we share within our club and the ready acceptance of various roles and responsibilities by all members. If we could compare this with any other social institution it would definitely fall in the lines of a typical ‘Indian Joint Family’ where every family member has a special role and there is mutual cooperation and trust between all the members. All the members are co-dependent and no matter how dire their situations may develop, they can always find solace and a comforting abode within the family to rise back and live another day. The value of unity and trust play a very important role in forming such strong bonds within a joint family. Undeniably, there are usually some natural imperfections and mundane limitations too in any joint family, but the sheer will of all the members of the family, helps overcome such limitations and also often make peace with them and find happiness in it. These values and work ethics are the very things that we aim to apply and promote in our club. So after considering these aspects of an Indian Joint Family with all its quirky characteristics and virtues, we find great joy to find a striking resemblance of these features in our own club too. That's the reason why, of all the other topics for our bulletin, we found a ‘Comparison between our club and a Joint Family’ as a topic that would aptly define our journey and pay a perfect homage to our legacy on our 5th Installation Event. We feel great joy in presenting before all our readers the story of the Rotaract Club of Thakur College of Engineering & Technology, through all its ups and downs, and its continuing rise! We hope that our ‘Parichay’, would become a testament to a moment in the lives of our readers, where they would be inspired to work for the greater good! Rotaract Club Of TCET 02
The Club Nameplate Welcome! Welcome! Welcome! What you see below is our beloved Club’s Nameplate! Look closer and you will see our theme for this year! Learning has always been related to a person’s desire to gain knowledge from various sources, but the phenomenon of truly understanding a particular concept with all its complexities and variations has often been neglected in mundane methods of teaching. We as individuals in this modern society, come across so many instances where a person with great educational qualifications still commits such dastardly acts in the community which can only be explained by the lack of a good moral compass in them. This stark difference of Human Values and Professional Qualifications is a testament to the fact that it is not a person’s academic weight, rather the greater sense of the individual as well as communal virtues that size up a person’s character. Further, the greatest teacher of all such virtues is through experience and practical application of these principles in one’s life. It is only when we realize the true meaning of being learned, can we expect to improve both internally as well as externally. Improvement of any kind has all its base on what knowledge you have gained through your conscience-driven learning. As famously articulated by Mahatma Gandhi, “You must be the change you wish to see in the world”, we can understand the importance of self-improvement before communal improvement. We believe that through our internal growth as good human beings, we can be of greater help to humanity by upholding the compassionate virtues in the world around us. This year the virtue of right learning coupled with self-improvement through retrospection will help us attain our ultimate goal of transforming our society into a world we could all appreciate being a part of. This transformation will definitely not be an easy or minuscule task. It may be even possible that its completion may not go as planned, but what will matter the most is the foundations that we will lay for learning, improving, and transforming future generations to come. And truly, that itself is a work that is of paramount importance in today’s changing scenarios! Rotaract Club Of TCET 03
Parichay Our inception, progress and future “Dealing with the challenges of today requires problem-solvers who bring different perspectives and are willing to take risks.” The Rotaract Club of TCET was chartered on 15th September 2017 and has been showing immense growth since then. RC-TCET is an organization driven by progressive ideas, bold actions, and a strong foundation of support. The main objective of our club is to facilitate the holistic development of the members along with serving the needs of society. Our club carries out events and activities under avenues like Community Service, Shiksha, International Service, etc. that encourage the youth of the society to come forward and contribute towards the betterment of the community. Starting off with the 2017 Charter Year’s theme of “Giving Wings”, the Rotaract Club of TCET has never failed to live by its annual theme. After ‘giving wings’ to the club and laying down a strong foundation, the year 2018 was all about encouraging change and contributing to the betterment of the society, leading with the theme of “Aspire to Inspire”. This was followed by the theme of the year 2019, “Bridging the Gaps”, which made us grow closer as a club to our community, helping us understand their problems better. The club witnessed a revolutionary change in the year 2020, with the theme “Rise by Lifting Others”. It is in this year that our club finally got the recognition it deserved, where the club’s ranking improved to 19th rank in District 3141 and RC- TCET gained its very first AARA for the ‘Best Club Website’, under the Presidentship of Rtr. Prince Pandey. With this year’s theme, “Learn Improve Transform”, we aim to bring about a change in the community in terms of education, the safety of women and children, creating work opportunities, under the Presidentship of Rtr. Kunal Miskin. We aim to educate underprivileged children living in scarcity of basic education or not at par with the technology of the current era. We aim to make today's women feel safe in society. We aim to empower and protect the women and children of our society against unjust assaults. We aim on supporting equality for women and creating job opportunities for the ones who are capable but aren’t given recognition. We hope to soar high and to fulfill our aims with the support of our team, for we are the Rotaract Club of TCET and we are set on achieving great heights. Rotaract Club Of TCET 04

Faculty Incharge \" Not all of us can do great things, but we can do small things Mrs. Poorva with great love.\" — Mother Teresa Waingankar When actions are guided by love, compassion, and a focus on the inherent dignity and worth of all people, those actions become great. The best way to give something to society is just to work for them wherever there is a need…. By volunteering in social work, one can acquire new skills and learn from valuable experiences, as well as make professional connections. Furthermore, it adds to the sense of community. This kind of unity in one place makes for that feel-good and secure feeling. The most important thing to remember is that to do any social work, the motivation for it needs to be unconditional and without any kind of financial gain. Helping others is the idea and the primary goal of engaging into community service related work. Through Rotaract or such Social bodies one can get experience and opportunity to get connected with community service in early ages. Rotaract was founded in 1968 by Rotary International, a worldwide association of service-minded business and professional leaders. Today there are more than 7,500 Rotary-sponsored Rotaract Clubs in some 156 countries around the world, with over 173,000 members. \"Rotaract\" stands for \"Rotary in Action\". Rotaract is a Rotary-sponsored service club for young men and women between age group of 18 to 30. Rotaract clubs are part of a global effort to bring peace and international understanding to the world. Rotaract Club Of TCET 06
The clubs are usually community-based or university-based and are sponsored by a local Rotary club making them true “partners in service” and key members of the Rotary family. Through the Rotaract program, young adults not only augment their knowledge and skills, but they also address the physical and social needs of their communities while promoting international understanding of peace through a framework of friendship and service. All Rotaract efforts begin at the local, grassroots level, with members addressing their communities’ physical and social needs while promoting international understanding and peace through a framework of friendship and service. So, at TCET also we are determined to serve community in various ways through RC-TCET projects. During last one and half year even though there was pandemic situation across the world, our team was able to carry out different projects successfully through online mode and few in off line mode because of sense of commitment and dedication by entire team. This year also I am looking forward for the same commitment and enthusiasm. I wish RC-TCET great and successful year ahead! Here's me, sending all the luck and best wishes to Kunal and team for the year and wish to see the club do the most of it this year and make sure it has left some impact on the society. ZRR Rtr. Prince Rotaract Club of TCET…..What to say?? A club very Pandey close to my heart. It’s the place from where journey of my Rotaraction started. I have seen RC-TCET very closely as a Shiksha Director followed by becoming the Club's President. The club has great potential in it and with a strength of more than 240 members it can do wonders. Looking towards the leadership of the club, yes, the club is in good hands and I believe in the team taking the club at newer heights. Being one of the most successful body in TCET, it has a lot of expectations from everyone and yes, i bestow full confidence on the club, that they will meet all the expectations in the coming year. The rise the club made in the previous year, I can see it transforming from a rising club to a LIT club.As an Immediate Past President, I would love to see RC- TCET at higher ranks in the RI District in the coming year. As a Zonal Rotaract Representative, I can see RC-TCET coming up with highly impactful projects in different avenues in the coming year. With a great heart and love, I wish Rtr. GURUKUL Rotaract Club Of TCET 13
RTR. “Doing two things at once is to do neither.” Anuja We are all familiar with this quote and it might be right, but not for Rtr. Anuja somthankar Somthankar. To describe Rtr Anuja Somthankar we would just say, calm, caring, and always eager to help. For doing anything perfectly we need two things, practice, and a good mentor. Mentors are a very crucial part of the learning process as being a mentor is a very huge as well as tiring responsibility. You have to train the members in a way that they become mature enough to come true to the hardships of the world and also be the best version possible, not just for themselves but also for the community. As last year there was no Chairperson of Publications, Anuja took it upon herself to single-handedly take the responsibility of publishing the club magazine Valerie, along with the help of last year’s Editorial Team. We know that Anuja has a strong will and is efficient in what she does. Just like our gurus in a gurukul, the mentors have a great opportunity to create tomorrow’s community activists, who will reform the world. If guided well then the world the next generation will live in will be no less than a heaven. That is exactly what our “guru”, Rtr. Anuja Somthankar has been doing excellently and will continue doing it. For that, we are thankful to her and we wish her all the best for her future endeavors. “Money is a tool. Used properly, it makes something beautiful, used wrong, it RTR. makes a mess”. URVI Shukla We're sure we all agree to this quote and very well know the power of money. Money being a single entity can shake families, but not this family of Rotaract. 14 Rtr. Urvi Shukla, Treasurer for the year 2020-21, with her very keen and calculated behavior looked after all the financial responsibilities of the club and was successful in its completion. Smartly she oversaw all the finance-related issues, funding, fundraising, and budgeting of all the activities carried out in her tenure. Being a mentor is not easy as it involves a huge amount of burden. As a mentor, it is expected from you to guide and mold the incoming team in such a way that they become a responsible pot to hold in all the hardship and still provide the sweet nectar within, to the people in need and vanquish their thirst. For such an act of selflessness, there is a need for people who put others first. Rtr. Urvi Shukla has got to heights by raising all the members under her mentorship which is really not an easy task to do but still, it has been done flawlessly by her. We thank the second “guru” of our “gurukul”, Rtr. Urvi Shukla, for guiding the next team through the challenges and always providing much-needed support. We wish her all the very best for the bright future she has awaiting her. Rotaract Club Of TCET

RTR. Prince Pandey Cool Dadaji “Being a good example is the best form of service.” Someone who has always stood by the Rotary motto ‘Service above Self,’ Rtr. Prince Pandey shows us everyday how a person must conduct themselves with kindness and respect in today’s world. Nicknamed as the ‘Club’s Cool Dadaji,’ he is always there to guide the rest of the club when needed.Being the Zonal Rotaract Representative of Zone-2B as well as the Immediate Past President of this club, he is a versatile character who takes his responsibilities very seriously and strives to fulfil them on time and with all his heart. Always willing to give a piece of his mind, Rtr. Prince is very generous with his advice. His experience as a President as well as a Shiksha Director over the past 2 years has made him an extremely insightful guide for our club. This year, he aims to assist our President in guiding our club to its zenith. After his immensely successful year where the club’s ranking improved to 19th rank and RC-TCET gained its very first AARA for the ‘Best Club website’, Rtr. Prince’s goal this year is to help improve the club’s standing and gain some more AARAs in the process. Over the last year, the Rotaract Club of TCET with Rtr. Prince Pandey as the President, conducted various incredible projects under multiple avenues. From Shiksha activities like E-Kaksha and Eloquent where the aim of imparting knowledge and education to underprivileged children was achieved, to club service and sports activities like Club Games and Beach Volleyball, last year truly saw a revolution within the club. With RC-TCET as the proverbial ship and Rtr. Prince as the captain at the helm, this club saw progress in all avenues. We also achieved admirable feats, like conducting the flagship project of RC-TCET, ‘TechWorld’ online during this pandemic, organizing the very first fundraiser in the club’s history, ‘Carnival’ and received a grant from AICTE SPICES scheme and many more as we sailed through with immense success the past year. Just like a ‘Dadaji’ in our joint Indian families, who is a mixture of stern guidance and pure, selfless love for their family members, Rtr. Prince suits this description to a T. The club and its members aspire to grow from his wisdom and counsel. Rotaract Club Of TCET 19
RTR. SURAJ NAIDU JugaaduNanaji “In every person there is a sun. Just let them shine.” One can easily ascertain in just a single meeting with Rtr. Suraj Naidu, that he lives up to his first name quite well i.e.,”The sunshine of our club”. As an engineer in the making, Rtr. Suraj has jugaad running through his blood. Known as the ‘Jugaadu Nanaji’ of the club, he is the person to go to when you find a problem you cannot solve. His frugally innovative solutions will enlighten you to a new way of doing things. As the Vice President for the year 2020-21, he was the support and backbone of our club. Never taking no for an answer from his Board of Directors, he had always encouraged them to venture beyond limitations. He always aims for the moon, and even if he misses, he at least always lands among the stars. Under his leadership, the Rotaract club of TCET saw an emergence of some brilliant club service activities, like Club games and Jalsa – A musical evening. He has been the driving force behind RC-TCET’s most successful projects, like ‘Star Quest – A Talent Hunt,’ the fundraiser ‘Carnival,’ and Educational Gamethon, a game building competition. Having a naturally sunny disposition, Rtr. Suraj Naidu’s foremost attribute is his persistence, even in the face of utmost adversity. His persistence coupled with ‘jugadu-ness’ has helped this club conduct projects that everyone had almost given up on. As the Club Trainer this year, his goal is to set up the newly elected core and Board of Directors team for absolute success. With all his experience of the past year as the Vice President, he is truly the best person suited for this responsibility. He aims at working with the club leaders to create training programs that support this club. He believes that training is crucial for all elected officers which ensures that they are well-informed about Rotaract and its working. Much like a sweet ‘Nanaji’ who takes care of everyone in their family and provides solutions to the most daunting problems, Rtr. Suraj Naidu is the ‘Nanaji’ of the family called RC- TCET. We can only hope for his persistence, cheerfulness and never give up attitude to rub off on us. Rotaract Club Of TCET 20
RTR. Kunal Miskin Supportive Papaji \"Leadership is lifting a person's vision to high sights, raising a person's performance to highest standards, building a personality beyond its normal limitations.\" Every Papaji of an Indian family is known to be quiet, speaking only when necessary, but he is still considered the head of the family, the person with all the decisions and answers. Always there to support his family members, he is the most respected person. Similar to this, we at the Rotaract Club of TCET have our very own “Supportive Papaji”, a.k.a, Rtr. Kunal Miskin. Best described as self aware, ethical, understanding and empathetic, Rtr. Kunal Miskin is the perfect fit as the President of the Rotaract Club of TCET. Known for his strategic thinking, he is efficient in his planning of the club working and is always quick to analyze and convey his approvals. The role of the President of a club is to have a fair idea of who is doing what and keep abreast of all club activity as they are responsible for ensuring that the club works effectively. They should be able to provide leadership to the club and help build an effective community for the betterment of the society that works well and grows in membership. Generosity, optimism, integrity, devotion towards the work, willingness to take chances and outgoingness are some highlights of our President's personality. During the Covid-19 pandemic crisis, RCTCET wanted a President who has a thought process similar to \"सबका साथ, सबका वकास, सबका व ास\" so that our club could grow and allow members to develop social skills, gain self confidence, develop themselves into better human beings, all the while contributing to the betterment of the society. Rtr. Kunal Miskin has shown fantastic performance as the Community Service Director last year by organizing events like E-Kaksha, Awareness program for LGBTQ+ community, Flag Box, Beach Clean Up and Mask up. We are sure that he will achieve great success in his tenure as the club’s President as well. The President is the figurehead of the club, just like the “Papaji” of an Indian family. We are sure that our “Supportive Papaji” will surely lead his team to great heights. We wish him all the best for his future endeavours! Rotaract Club Of TCET 21
RTR. Janhavi Mishra Chulbuli Bua “Leadership is the art of getting someone else to do something you want done because he wants to do it.” She will catch you by your ears if you annoy her, be the one to tell you what is right, and guide you to become better. She may also be the one with whom you can have the best time. She is none other than our sweet \"Chulbuli Buaji\" - Rtr. Janhavi Mishra, the Vice President of Rotaract Club of TCET 2021 - 22. Chulbuli is how you correctly define Janhavi. Enjoying life, being cheerful, and finding the spark of positivity and hope when caught in a predicament, are the qualities that define a person with a golden core. A dynamic individual with the confidence to lead, she is a leader we all need. The vice president is the person entrusted with the role of overseeing the day-to-day activities in the club. A vice president must also be ready to take tough decisions at times for the club. They plan, direct, coordinate, and supervise the activities, ensuring proper implementation of the events. Janhavi takes on her role with complete seriousness. She believes in herself, her teammates, and their combined efforts. Pushing herself to achieve a little more each successive day, she inspires us all. She aims towards a collective growth of the team while being able to help others. Her kind nature helps her to work for people in need. Beach clean up, Covid Vaccination awareness drive, and several others were some of the events conducted and coordinated by Janhavi as Community Service Director for last year. She has shown incredible potential and unnerving determination. We are sure she will continue to do so as the Vice President as well. Buaji is a member of a family who loves all her nieces and nephews very much but knows the importance of imparting the values in them as well. She is a lively person who helps the children grow into better individuals. Our “Chulbuli Buaji”, Rtr. Janhavi Mishra, portrays the image very precisely. We wish her all the luck for her future endeavours! Rotaract Club Of TCET 22
RTR. Bhushan Nehete Samajhdaar Chachaji “Effective leaders lead by example with honesty, confidence, compassion and right intelligence”. We can see all these remarkable virtues in the “Samajhdar Chachaji” of our club, a.k.a, Rtr. Bhushan Nehete. He’s the kind of individual, who believes in doing every work with utmost sincerity and seldom gives any reason to complain. A persuasive leader, he is diligently ambitious in his thoughts and generous in his actions; Rtr. Bhushan Nehete, our very own Rotaract Club’s Secretary, is our subtle X - Factor, who can change the face of any activity with his dynamism. His main focus in the working of the club include documentation of the club, making reports and inventory management of the club. He is also the one who guides the Joint Secretaries of the club and takes it upon himself to ensure the smooth flow of the club’s activities and documentations. As a Joint Secretary in the last Rotaract year, he was quite effective in assisting the Club Secretary and had also conducted some events like Paws for a Cause, Debate and Group Discussion which immensely helped the members in developing their overall personality and becoming compassionate towards every living being. His laurels don’t just stop there, but also extend out to various support functions that he took on his shoulders, officially as well as unofficially. He was a true patron, just like a ‘Samajhdaar Chachaji’ of any Indian Joint Family, and inspired others with his sharp articulated analysis of various activities. He was and still is a prime source of assistance to all BoDs, Core, members and even to various sections of society. He believes that, apart from his official responsibilities as Club Secretary, he also has a moral responsibility as a human to serve and strive for the betterment of humanity. These personal characteristic virtues are the reasons why he is such an awesome leader, and with his internal as well as worldly intellect, we are assured to be led by a truly personified version of a rational yet loving ‘Samajhdaar Chachaji’ of our Rotaract Club. He is the unshakable rock of our club, the supporting backbone. We believe that, without our “Samajhdar Chachaji”, we would truly be lacking the presence of a great advisor. We wish him the greatest of success in all his future endeavors! Rotaract Club Of TCET 23
RTR. Nishank Shetty Gusse vale Fufaji “There is no magic wand that can resolve our problems. The solution rests with our work and discipline. ” Scary as a gun, radiant as the sun, Gusse Wale Fufaji is always ready to warn. “Gusse Wale Fufaji” is none other than Rtr. Nishank Shetty, appointed as Sergeant – At - Arms of Rotaract Club of TCET 2021 - 22. He is a person to whom his integrity matters a lot. Punctuality and discipline act as a centre for his principles and ethics. Being true to oneself and practising discipline in every act that a person does not only builds a strong spiritual base but also a charismatic character. As Sergeant-At-Arms, Nishank needs to be stern while maintaining order and restricting people from violating the rules. Practising discipline, following directives, and abiding by the law helps one to strengthen the moral ground that reflects one's virtue. He holds the authority to warn the member if he finds something wrong with their conduct. In case of a significant offence to the by-laws, he has the power to punish or expel someone based on their actions. As a person who values one's morals highly, Nishank focuses on helping people impart values like respect towards one's work and punctuality into themselves. He aims towards making people enjoy their time while becoming morally and ethically true to themselves and others. People who appear strict many a time guide you to a better future. They are like bitter medicines that cure your disease, pull you out of the cold, spread the warmth of a new beginning within you and strengthen your inner core. Fufaji is the part of the family who might seem strict and won’t hesitate to scold you when you do something wrong. But he is also the one who would sit with you, tell you about your mistakes and explain how you could avoid them the next time. He might look like an angry easter bunny but is full of joy, wonder and kindness. Our “Gusse Wale Fufaji” won’t be “Gusse Wale” if you follow the rules and follow the instructions carefully. We wish him the best for his future endeavours! Rotaract Club Of TCET 24
RTR. SACHET ENGINEER Paise vale Mamaji ‘For one who is cleverer, should be a treasurer’. This fits perfectly in our family of RCTCET too. Many of us might’ve heard this popular dialogue dear to all Indian families, “Paise jhaad pe nahi ugate.” One has to have the skills of managing one’s resources well, for they are not easily restorable. Similar to the mamaji of a typical Indian family, every organization needs to have one person who will keep the documentation of each and every expense, no matter how small it is. Let us introduce you to our treasurer for the year, our beloved RCTCET family member, Rtr. Sachet Engineer, the ‘Paise wale mama’. His calm composure and strong moral compass radiate positive energy and hold an attitude of transparency and teamwork. As we know, handling figures and cash is not a child’s play, as this is real money and more responsibility than our childhood monopoly game. A competent treasurer is required to keep an organization running smoothly and must hold the characteristics such as familiarity with the rules, transparency. He must be detail oriented and a good communicator. The treasurer shall receive all funds of the organization, keep an accurate record of receipts and expenditures and pay out funds in accordance with the approval of the executive board. Our treasurer will present a financial statement when requested by the executive board and make a full report at the end of the year. Without a doubt, our treasurer for the Rotaract Club has an eye for detail and is quick when it comes to finance handling. Just like the “mamaji” of Indian family is infamous for his accurate financial transactions, the RCTCET family has our treasurer Rtr. Sachet Engineer to manage the club’s finances and provide financial security for the future of our club. We wish him all the best for his future endeavours. Afterall, behind every successful club is a great treasurer. Rotaract Club Of TCET 25

Perception of Indian Culture Indian Culture has so many diverse aspects to it which vary in different parts of the country. It is an interesting topic for writers to draw inspiration from due to its take on spirituality and extensive history. There is a contrast between what foreigners think about India, and what Indians think about their own culture. A lot of foreigners have the image of India as portrayed by their media, which, if we consider Hollywood films, mostly include jungles, tigers, elephants, spirituality, and places of worship. People associate yoga and mindfulness with our country and often take trips to India to ‘find themselves’. The general view of the cultural diversity of our country is usually described as ‘colorful’. Indians themselves have become habituated to this so-called ‘colorfulness’, language barriers and difference in thoughts, and have learnt to coexist peacefully for the most part. Furthermore, westernization of a lot of things has already taken place in the country, including food and fashion. This is most commonly observed in the younger generation and is a wonderful amalgamation of tradition with modernization. While the actuality is way different from the external perspective, there are a few similarities. Spirituality and faith in a higher power are beliefs that are widespread in our tradition, but have evolved with time. India is probably the most pious country in the world with statistically proven numbers of people adhering to various beliefs and religions. The diversity found in Indian culture is truly unique to our culture, as well as unbelievable and sometimes even inconceivable to some individuals. Rotaract Club Of TCET 40
Our rich cultural diversity, age old traditions, family structures, societal coexistence has always been a point of amazement for all the people living in foriegn countries and experiencing our culture. Further, the best part of our culture is that it's not only native to our Indian subcontinent, but the values and traditions that we hold dear here are also appreciated and practiced by Indians staying abroad. Through their cultural settings and philosophies of openness, mutual understanding, non-violence, and peaceful co-existence, we Indians, today are considered as torchbearers of sustainable human virtues worldwide. We today have become an inspiration for people of other cultures to draw parallels with us, and realise the ultimate truth of harmonious living that is peace and compassion for all! Though it is also true that our efforts to spread peace wherever we go, have sometimes met with prying eyes and caused heartbreaking setbacks to our communal heritage and emotions. In Spite of these setbacks, it's the sheer perseverance of our people that we continue to persist and spread the message of harmony throughout the world and call for collaboration and prosperity even in times of grave despair. This is what we believe is our heritage. We possess the willpower to endure through the most daunting and hopeless situations and continually preserve our culture only to bloom as a morning flower again, to spread joy and purpose throughout humanity. We, the Rotaract Club of Thakur College of Engineering, feel that it is our fortune that we are born out of India’s soil and commit to be of persistent service to our nation and to the greater Global community. We believe that through our Indian values, we may truly realise our dream of, “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” as mentioned earlier, at the start of our bulletin. Truly, it’s an enlivening feeling to discuss and retrospect our own culture. May we never falter in our dreams and eventually achieve our goal of universal prosperity and fraternity! We wish all of our reader's great success in all their endeavors and hope that our bulletin would remain in their hearts as a beacon of courage and inspiration! On this note, with immense glee and excitement, along with a hint of dismay, we, the Rotaract Club of Thakur College of Engineering & Technology, would like to conclude our Bulletin. To all our readers, we wish, Shubh|| Labh|| Namaskaram|| May our paths cross again in another tale of universal fraternity and in a world brimming with the ideals we have sought to promote!
