The pandemic had hit hard on the economy. Human resourceswith prediction and analytical skills, work hard in controlling the COVID-19. But, employment of an Automated Pandemic Management System whichrenders all the statistics with the data provided using Machine Learning,Data Science, and Artificial Intelligence to implement a successfulStandard Operating Procedure and cease the graph's growth in a shortperiod is the best method as it is economically feasible. The idea evolved when I competed in a hackathon conducted by IITMadras. The concept of the hackathon fascinated me. Later, I discussedthe same with my teammate Anish, and I realized that we both were onthe same page. We discussed the practical ways to organize this COVID-basedhackathon with our Management, Principal and Head faculty from theDepartment of Computer Science-Mr.NandhaKumar and Mr. Palanikumarfrom Dr.NGP College of IT. We got immense support and guidance fromthem.

Usually, Summer was the time for schools to relax for a bit.But this year, it was different. There was a deficit in learningbecause of online schooling for a whole year. Some childrenwere unable to focus on their reading habits too!During the Summer break, what if they fall behind even morein their language skills? With this thought, the NGP Schooloffered a free Reading Application: Freadom app fromStones2milestones for the students' of grades 1 to 8 inthe month of May, 2021.Our philosophy is simple - a child who reads is anindependent learner, performs better in academics and inprofessional life. With reading, comes true freedom. With the increased number of NGP student users of thisFreadom App, Stones2milestones hosted exclusivestorytelling sessions for students of grade 1 to 5 on June28th and 29th,2021.Reading still continues !Teachers handling the primary classes of The NGP schoolparticipated in a 2 hour workshop on the Art of Storytellingby CLUB1BR of stones2milestones as a part of the CapacityBuilding Program for 2021-22.Here are a few glimpses from the session. The QuillT H E N G P S C H O O L | S E P T E M B E R E D I T I O N 2 0 2 1 - 2 2Freadom Story TellingSession (Grade 1-3)

Yes, ISRO along with the Indian Institute ofRemote Sensing(IIRS) Dehradun conducted a 5-day students-onlyprogram called “Summer School on the usefulness of Remote Sensing& GIS for Environmental Studies”. This online workshop was conducted from 26 July 2021 - 31 July 2021.There were videos explaining different topics in a clear manner. Eachday, there were two one-hour sessions that focused on the topic andgave us an in-depth understanding. We were also provided with the study material for each topic. Weattempted quizzes every day which had questions from the topic, whichwas taken on that particular day. We had a doubt clearing session in thelive chat. If anyone missed the live lecture, there was also a forum called“Discussion” where one could ask their doubts. The website is very much easy to use and we did not face any kind ofserious trouble in studying the topics. Students scoring 55% and aboveare awarded certificates which gives no room for those who only wantedthe certificate and did not intend to acquire knowledge. I wish ISROconducts many more workshops like these in the future. I thank my school management for providing us with such a greatopportunity. - Anish P Grade 12The QuillOnline Summer School onUsefulness of Remote Sensing &GIS for Environmental Studies
