And before Jesus returned to heaven, He outlined the part that we were to play in His Kingdom. \"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you.\" (Matthew 28:19, 20 NRSV). This is our church's purpose. We are planted and empowered to train disciples for Christian service to our local and global community and prepare people for the return of Jesus Christ.
