Trails East Kennebec Trail kmtrails.org 752 Benton Avenue, Winslow The scenic gravel and grassy 1.5 mile trail is an easy walk for runners, bikers or walkers, passing through a combination of wooded wetland and open fields along the Kennebec River. Rotary Centennial Trail kmtrails.org Benton Avenue, Winslow or Crummett Street, Benton Rotary Centennial Trail is a 1.5 mile trail constructed along an old rail bed that parallels the Kennebec River. The trail is groomed in winter for easy skiing, snowshoeing, and walking. In other seasons, it is good for biking, walking and running. Visitors are likely to see many forms of wildlife on the trail. (Connects to East Kennebec Trail, previous page; see also Benton, pg. 20) Winslow Community Trails kmtrails.org Dean Street, Winslow The wide, flat Community Trail is located on the town’s school property and is a 1.5 mile loop for walking, running, or biking. (Connects to East Kennebec Trail, previous page, and Rotary Centennial Trail, above) Parks & Playgrounds Fort Halifax Park winslow-me.gov Bay Street, Winslow Fort Halifax was the founding location for Winslow, from which Waterville split in 1802. The park offers a pleasant walk to the point, and upstream through a silver maple grove to the ledges leading to Ticonic Falls. It’s the perfect place to picnic and play on the expansive lawn with scenic views of the Kennebec River. 50 Winslow
Norton Street Park, Playground & Fields Corner of Norton Street/Bolduc Street, Winslow Norton Street Field consists of a little league baseball field, soccer field, basketball courts, a park and playground equipment. Dallaire Street Park & Playground Dallaire Street, Winslow Wide-open, grassy park area with basketball courts, mulched playground area sporting jungle gym structures with slides, climbing challenges, swing sets, and more.
