2021 CENTRAL VISAYAS HEALTH RESEARCH & INNOVATION CONFERENCE EXHIBIT BOOTH BACKGROUND The exhibit booths serve as a way to promote the research activities and facilities of each member institution. GUIDELINES 1. Each member institution must have an exhibit in the form of a video presentation during the 6th Central Visayas Health Research and Innovation Conference. 2. Each member institution is allowed to submit only one (1) entry for the exhibit booth. 3. The exhibit must contain the following: (1) list of institutions’ research services or facilities, or R&D centers, and the name of directors and contact details (2) list of accredited journals of the institution (3) showcase best research practices 4. Two (2) completed health research studies must be showcased by the member institution in the form of Research Infomercial and Research Infographics which shall be included in the Exhibition of the member institution. 5. A panel of judges shall evaluate all entries and identify a winner. 6. Criteria for Judging: Best Exhibit Booth • Booth Design Quality, originality, and uniquenesss 25% • Content 30% Intended message is communicated clearly to a wide audience • Branding 15% Use of the institution’s logo within the design of the boot • Creativity 20% Promotion and presentation of research services • Overall appeal 10% TOTAL 100% DEADLINE All video presentations, including the research infomercials and infographics shall be submitted to ([email protected]) not later than June 7, 2021 (Monday)
RESEARCH INFOMERCIAL BACKGROUND An infomercial is a video presentation which presents a significant amount of information to promote a point of view. GUIDELINES 1. Each member institution of CVCHRD is required to showcase a research study through the Research Infomercial. 2. Each member institution is allowed to submit three (3) entries for the research informercial. 3. The maximum running time of the infomercial is 2:00 minutes only and must not be lower than 0:30 seconds. All created infomercials must be original and no part of it must be obtained from any shows or television commercials. Any violation will void the entry. 4. The infomercial must be based on ANY COMPLETED HEALTH RESEARCH conducted by the institution. The completed research must be within the National/Regional Unified Health Research Agenda. 5. The infomercial must portray why such project was developed or why the study was conducted; the study’s potential benefits in terms of its impact on health and quality of life, science or technology contributions or socio-economic benefits. 6. The infomercial can be a simple slide show of pictures and captions but can also be a video production. To enhance the audio and video presentation, subtitles may be used to transcribe the conversation. It must be ensured that the text is visible. Use of the Filipino and/or English as medium is allowed. 7. RESEARCH INFOGRAPHIC BACKGROUND An infographic is a visual way to display data or information that makes it easy to understand at a glance. It can take the form of a chart, diagram, or illustration, and usually involves minimal text. GUIDELINES: 1. Each member institution of CVCHRD is required to showcase a research output through the Research Infographics. 2. Each member institution is allowed to submit three (3) entries for the research infographic. 3. Infographics should highlight a completed research study within the National/Regional Unified Health Research Agenda. 4. Criteria for Judging: Design: visual appeal 20% Quality of content: accuracy and validity of data/information presented 20% Knowledge transfer potential: presentation of complex subjects in an easy to understand format 20% Originality: content presented in an innovative format 20% Potential to generate discussion: social media engagements 20% 100% TOTAL DEADLINE All video presentations, including the research infomercials and infographics shall be submitted to ([email protected]) not later than June 7, 2021 (Monday) There will be three (3) winners for the Exhibit Booths, Infomercials and Infographics Competition (1st, 2nd and 3rd Place) which will be announced during the Awarding Ceremonies. The winners and finalists shall receive cash awards and incentives, and certificates.
